It ain’t fancy but the food is great, the service fast and the prices very reasonable. Great place for breakfast!

A very good deli located on the southern end of Dairen, so likely close to the Noroton Heights stop. Regardless, it‘s not in a crowded part of town, which I like. The food is very good, we just grabbed some breakfast sandwiches after a road race nearby. And they really hit the spot for a fair price, particularly for such an affluent area. The icing on the cake was the incredibly friendly cashier, which I‘m guessing was«Mama Carmela». Whether that is accurate or not, she helped make our brief stop a very positive one. And I am looking forward to stopping by here in the near future and give their lunch offerings a try.

It’s more than just a deli. Great breakfast sandwiches, add the tasty chili, not to hot, just right with bacon or sausage and egg or both on a hard roll. The chilli is so good I by 2 containers a week to use at home. For lunch try the chicken parm on a roll or wedge it’s fantastic. By the way they call me «MR. CHILLI»

I absolutely love their chicken cutlet wedges! The sandwiches at Mama’s are always delicious and come in large portions, so bring your appetite! I recommend the chicken cutlet on a wedge with garlic, fresh mozz, hot cherry peppers and sauce. So big, half the wedge is a meal. If that’s not your style, a good old fashioned chicken parm will equally fulfill your hunger satisfaction. Not feeling chicken? Their meatballs are good too! Hot roast beef, pastrami, boars head deli cuts, whatever — Mama’s makes your sandwich delicious and BIG!!!

Really? Has no one updated for MC’s? Bueller? Alright I’ll be the one — deli still kicks ass. I eat here often for lunch and always for breakfast on Saturdays. Pro tip– if the postmen line up their trucks outside, you’ve found a pretty solid lunch spot.

This deli has become a right of passage for Darien kids starting at Hindley Elementary, across the street to Middlesex and Darien High School. Frankie and team feeds the swim teams, football, LAX, baseball, basketball and soccer teams — with their recent newspaper postings of results! The bacon and egg on a roll is my family favorite. And, if you walk your dog there, they are sure to get lots of attention also :)

This is a real deal Italian sub shop, in the middle of good ol’ white bread CT. No attitude, great prices, great food. Huge portions for their subs/grinders/wedge. Italian combo is as good as anything you’d get in Manhattan or Long Island. Very friendly people there. Go early, as they get really busy around Noon. Remember they are CLOSED on Sundays, which is annoying. Best sandwich shop in town, bar none.

The best deli in the area! Try the chicken cutlet wedge with broccoli rabe and homemade mozzarella. Truly a great combo. Try the chili that has the perfect kick to it or the cole slaw with the sweetest taste. You might just get really lucky and catch Frank frying up some of his awesome meatballs. A meal in itself! Breakfast, lunch and catering, he’s got it all. This place is fast becoming an iconic stop in Darien.
