Planet Fitness – Daphne

Remember your first kiss back when you were 14, and you both had braces? That’s pretty much how I feel at the gym — clumsy, uncoordinated, ridiculously awkward, and occasionally getting caught up in something that I have to pry myself out of.
My son has been going to PF for a year or so and I decided to join. Fortunately for me, he’s been there the same two times I have, because I don’t know which equipment works which body part and he was cool enough to show me what to do. (Let’s pause for a moment and say a quick prayer that I don’t end up with trap muscles.) They actually have a good variety of cardio equipment, weights and other contraptions that work your arms and legs. They may have classes there. I don’t know. I saw a doorway at the back that said 30 Minute Workout. It was pretty much a sign-​up and you figure it out on your own kind of thing.
If you go with the $ 20 a month membership, you can use any PF facility as well as the tanning beds, massage chairs and hydro beds. I opted for that since I wanted to have access to the gym by my house as well as the one by my office. The tanning beds are good quality but I haven’t tried the massage equipment yet. The basic membership is $ 10 and you can only use the facility where you sign up, and I don’t think you get access to the tanning and massage equipment with it. Can’t beat the prices.
The ladies locker room was nice and roomy and clean. Bring your own lock for your locker, if you need one. The whole gym is very clean.
I have a little work-​out room in my house with everything I need for a great workout, but for about a year, it’s been inaccessible to me. When and if I ever get my little room back, I’ll probably cancel the membership because I’m not really in love with the idea of working out in the presence of an audience. While I appreciate their judgement free zone, I still prefer to make a complete fool of myself in the privacy of my own home. I’m just not made for entertainment purposes. For now, it works, and it’s 24 hours 6 days a week, so I can go pretty much anytime I want.

The staff is super friendly and everything is really clean. It’s the smallest PF I’ve been to. Not really any space to lay down a yoga mat. There’s not many mirrors and the ones they do have are pretty high up. Same with the 2 mirrors in the ladies bathroom.

This is a great place to workout! I love the 30 minute circuit on days when I have evening plans and can’t workout long. There are plenty of machines and everything is always so clean. Plus at $ 10 a month you’re able to get a good workout without breaking the bank.

Why are you a a negative nancy bruh? You work at a gym pretty much the coolest job ever. Need I say more? You don’t even sweat. Front desk needs posi vibes not lame ones.

Great location… Nice and clean with friendly staff and plenty of machines and weights… so little, if any, wait time. Very rarely do I wait on any equipment. I love it. They have several large TVs with much to choose from. Also, wifi. My friends and I enjoy going here. Not to mention the most reasonable prices around!

Love working out here! It’s a great sized gym and they always keep it nice and clean. I opted for the Black Card so I get use of the hydro massage bed, tanning and can bring a friend with me for no extra charge. The hours just expanded to 24 hours during the week. Check out the training programs also. Tres is a great trainer and has been working with me on program designed just for my needs. I’m already 24 pounds down and working towards my end goal. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is comfortable and truly a «no judgement zone» as advertised!

Love this place. You get so much for such a small price. Staff are wonderful and place is kept nice!

Fox News is not news! Try something a little more neutral. Or rotate different news channels. Otherwise this is a pleasant clean friendly place to work out.

I love coming here. I always use the elliptical in front of the televisions. However, the first three elliptical’s head set ports are horrible sounding. I can never hear the tv correctly. I wish they would fix that. I enjoy the free supplies I can use to spray and clean my machine after use. I would love to see the place close at 9 pm on Friday and Saturday instead of 7 pm.
