I grew up in Danville, KY and there was not much to do and not many options for food or coffee. I am so thankful that now when I go home to visit there are places like The Hub Coffee House and Café. This place is so cute! Located in the heart of downtown and close to Centre College, it is perfect for coffee, lunch or dessert.(free WiFi too) They have the largest selection of fun coffee drinks and every one I have tried is delicious. Most recently, I ordered an iced chai tea latte and it was amazing. They have a wide variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads and desserts. I am a fan of the hummus platter and Rueben sandwich.

I had a meeting in Danville and arrived 2 hours ahead of schedule, so I was looking for someplace I could connect to WIFI and get some work done. I was happy to find this little gem. The staff was very friendly and the coffee was good. I stayed long enough to order lunch, the Chicken Torino Wrap which was better than I expected. I had a side of the couscous salad and it was really delicious, a little sweet with Mediterranean spices. Great place for a quick lunch or coffee with a friend. Good WIFI connection too.

Great little coffee shop. Has great breakfast and lunch. The chicken salad sandwhich is by far my favorite. Nice little small town local place, which I like supporting over the chain places. It also came recommended by the people who work near by when I was in town for work.

I really want to like this place, but I think they are trying to do too much. The coffee isn’t of good quality, and they use cheap syrups that taste like artificial sweetener. They charge Starbucks prices for a subpar product. They would do better to cut the massive coffee menu in half, roast their own beans, buy some quality syrups, and train their baristas properly. Then and only then would their coffe be worth what they charge. I guess they can get away with it because there is no where else to buy a latte in this town– they’ve kind of capitalized on coffee in this small town because they have no competition. Also– would it kill their staff to smile once in a while? Stop treating your customers like they are an annoyance and do your job. Don’t like people? Don’t work in customer service.

The coffee was decent, thus one star. The server at the counter needs to leave the bitchy attitude at home if she is to continue her career in food service. Typical hipster small town coffee shop. We were going to eat there until the server opened her mouth, so we got coffee and left town.

The most appropriately named«hub» in the US! I love the almond joy. It’s not too thick or heavy and has the perfect breath of an almond joy candy bar. I go here to study and with friends for a trendy vibe. You can watch the day go by from their beautiful windows.

Loved this place! It became our coffee and breakfast go to when our car broke down in the area and we were stranded for a few days. Local food, coffee worthy of a much bigger urban area, great set up for charging computers and phones while being able to watch the world pass by out the windows.

Great little coffee house in a awesome little town! Just moved here from SD and actually having this when there is no SB(which is awesome-never thought I’d live in a town without one!!) breakfast, iced coffees and smoothies are yummy! Prompt service too.

Wonderful café in downtown Danville. The friendly employee told me that their beans come from a roaster in Lexington, and the flavor is very, very good. Spacious area for dining and doing computer work, etc. Extensive menu of sandwiches and a variety of soups. Probably one of the hippest little spots in the quaint town of Danville!

Was in town for work and somewhat disappointed by the limited options aside from the standard fast food places. This was recommended by the locals I worked with and was a pleasant surprise. I ended up having breakfast here 3 different times while I was in town. Service was great and food was legitimate as well. Happy to have discovered this local gem!

A quaint, moderately-sized, independent coffee shop/café, located in historic Danville. I was pleasantly surprised that they carry Almond milk, and the frozen Chai was amazing! I enjoyed a chicken and veggie wrap, which came with a side of the most amazing cous couse salad I have ever had! There is local art displayed on the walls, and it is adjacent to a book store. A great gem!

This is a solid stop for lunch if you’re visiting town. It does seem to be a popular study/gathering space. Everyone in our group was happy with their lunch. The side options were great-cous cous salad?!

We were in town for a weekend at The Farm, but wanted to see a bit of what Danville had to offer. For our first visit we had a sweet crêpe(peach and raspberry I believe) and a savory one(cordon bleu). Both were good– large, fresh, satisfying! On my second visit I had a really nice chai and we had a chance to browse the Centre College bookstore as we headed out of town. There is a large selection of pastries and sweets which were tempting. The menu is large, on the wall, and quite impressive for a coffee shop. The smell of brewing joe is present, as well. True to location, I suppose, there were a lot of folks reading, with laptops, and looking college aged. There were also parents, families, and older folks hanging out and socializing. Not exclusively college, but clearly influenced by proximity and convenience. If I were back in town, I’d make a point to stop at The Hub. I particularly enjoyed the post VP Debate décor. The tone was so much more balanced than I’d feared(central KY has a stereotype, you know). An unexpected and pleasant find. A coffee shop I totally endorse.
