I’ve been going to Cindy (owner) since her days being an employee at Great Clips in Danville. She went out on her own and I followed because she does a fantastic job! She is a true professional, she gets it right every time and I’ve never had a bad cut.
I highly recommend and for $ 18??? That’s the best deal in town… The shop only has 2 chairs so I call before and find out when she is available and come in accordingly. The shop is always clean, friendly and bright. Pandora music and a large flat screen make a cut pleasant if you don’t want to talk. I’ve never called and not been able to get a cut. I’ve been a customer of hers for almost 10 years and I’m particular about who cuts my hair. I’ve recommended other to her because she is that good.

This is a two chair shop on Hartz. Street parking is not easy to find. Both barbers are good hair cutters. Cindy’s outgoing personality and good nature make her really popular with the customers. Her partner is a good cutter, but quiet. Even the customers are nice. One day. when the shop was full with 3 people ahead of us, a man came out to the bench where we were waiting and said that my husband, who is handicapped, was next. The three young men had agreed that my husband should be helped first. All had been waiting a long while. Great shop, great hair cutters and great customers!

I’ve been going to this place since I was a kid. The new owners have done a nice job cleaning it up and offer a great cut at a great price. Clean, fast and friendly is how I would best describe Frontier Barber Shop.

Very nice Vietnamese couple appear to be running this barber shop. The shop is definitely small and they don’t take appointments. The lady who cut my hair is super sweet and while she cut it a little shorter than I wanted, the haircut came out great esp the fade. Not sure if they have a parking lot, but i was able to find street parking without any problems. Men’s haircuts are only $ 18 — I say only because most places are between $ 20 and $ 30 for a few places I checked out. I plan on trying this place out more in the future before settling on this barber shop.

Located on Hartz Ave in beautiful downtown Danville, Frontier Barber Shop is the place to go to get your hair cut.
I can always expect excellent, quick service at a reasonable price here.
The barbers are both friendly and personable. I never have to wait long before being seen, and both barbers cut my hair exactly as I want them to.
I never have a bad experience here, and always walk out feeling better about my hair!

Frontier has always been a good place to go for a hair cut. They always had a good customer base. Both guys retired. Cindy has taken it over and remodeled it.
Cindy is great. Best hair cut in many years. You may have to wait, but it is worth it. She knows how to cut men’s hair.

Only place I would get my hair cut in Danville. Cindy is fabulous. She always gives me a quality haircut, and just seems like a really great person. A few months later and I am still totally satisfied. I always get a great haircut and leave totally satisfied. Cindy always makes sure every customer is totally happy and is quick to fix anything.

Not much to add. Moved to Tri-​Valley a year ago and have experienced some HORRENDOUS haircuts. Decided to seek out a barbershop instead of a salon or franchise. Cindy took care of business and delivered the best cut I’ve had in 12 months. This is a no-​frills shop, no shampoo, etc. Down and dirty GREAT haircut. Thanks! I’ll be back!

Cindy, Ken, and David always give great hair cuts and they remember exactly how I like it. I came in before an interview and I think my haircut helped me get the job! There are 2 tvs so there is either music or music videos playing or sometimes the news which makes waiting go by quicker. Everyone there is very nice and accommodating. Come here for a great hair cut and conversation!

Update: Fred Barraco passed away in early Sept., 2014. There will be a memorial for him on Friday, Sept 26th at 3pm at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall in Danville. Rest in peace, Fred.
Update: In April, 2014, the shop was remodeled, and new management is operating it.

Cindy is by far the best when it comes to cutting hair!!! She has been cutting my hair for 5+ years and does an excellent job every time. The cost of the cut is very cheap, but the quality is superb. She also does a great shampoo. David, her associate, has also cut my hair from time to time. He is very experienced and skilled. Love the free candy as well!

By far the best unassuming barber shop I have been in the last 10 years. I have been looking for a good barber and I come across Frontier when I was in Danville to see a client. Cindy was very warm and accommodated me even without an appointment. I showed her a picture and she explained her plan of action considering the limitations of my hair from a bad haircut. Wow its only been less than a week and I can’t wait for my hair to grow and have Cindy do more magic. She’s really the best around.

Cindy is awesome! I went in with a very vague description of what I wanted and she filled in the blanks instantly. She let me know how we needed to set the hair up to grow into the style I wanted, as well as how to style it.

Had a great experience today at frontier barbershop. I have a normal barber where I’m from in San Diego but needed a cut while I was in Danville. Walked into a friendly environment and didn’t have to wait but 10 minutes on a busy saturday. Cindy did a great job and knew exactly what I wanted. Under new ownership by some of the lovely staff that used to be at Danville Supercuts. It’s a very quaint space in the heart of Danville and both stylists do a meticulous job! Great experience! First time to a barber! Rick surpassed expectations. I will never go anywhere else until I move from Danville. The whole experience took about twenty minutes and cost $ 15. Worth a try if you are looking for a new barber or a better haircut. My hair has not looked this good after a normal haircut.
