While I LOVE their country-​fried steak, I try to stay away from the vegetables at all costs. They taste canned, are over-​boiled, and frankly it’s hard to tell the peas from the carrots. Customer service IS good though, and it’s a quirky, neat place to eat and shop.

Cracker Barrel has a charm that many other chain restaurants lack. The wood exterior and long porch filled with rocking chairs makes for a welcome entrance.
We hit this one up in Danville for breakfast and found that while it was very busy, we were promptly seated and received friendly service.
It is a wide menu of classic stick to your rib dishes. It was a great place for a family breakfast (or any meal).

Great service on a Sunday morning for a late breakfast and they were packed. The food came out quickly and everything was excellent and cooked just the way it was supposed to be.
