Cocoa Vida

This is review for the chocolates only. I recently ordered a sampling of pretty much everything offered on the website. I tried caramels, caramel truffles, the little black dress (80% dark chocolate truffle), meant to be together (peanut butter), and a box of mixed chocolates which pretty much contained the same things mentioned above, but there was an espresso one («my heart beats for you») and a raspberry one that I don’t see on her website. I have to say they were all really good. My husband and I devoured everything in about 3 days. Testimony enough, right? I really love the fact that there is no white sugar and everything is organic and vegan. I also had the pleasure of meeting Mary, the owner, and she is so nice. I should note that there is no store front for this business. In fact, the Danville address listed on Unilocal is no longer her commercial kitchen, she has moved, but is still local. Anyway, I would definitely order again, especially the caramels, which were my favorite. It’s nice to see someone who loves their craft and puts so much love into her product. Nicely done, Mary!

My wife and I have ordered cupcakes for 2 different occasions from Cocoa Vida Café. The first was for my vegetarian daughter’s high school graduation party. The cupcakes and the frosting ware incredible. My daughter could not believe they were vegan. The chocolate is amazing! The second occasion for last years Christmas party in our home. We had several vegan guests and again Cocoa Vida came to the rescue. The vegans as well as the carnivores loved them. I was hoping to get one of the chocolate cupcakes but they were all gone by the time I made it to the dessert table. We will be ordering again from Cocoa Vida.

Just as the stars indicate, the chocolates as well as the cakes & cupcakes are simply heavenly tasting & visually beautiful. Don’t miss the opportunity to savor the pure, natural, ingredients that are used. They are truly the best chocolates I have ever had. One of my favorites is the «You Make My Heart Dance ». Now, how perfect is that to describe how you feel after treating yourself to such a pleasure?

i received cocoa vida’s vegan chocolates as a gift and could not get over how amazingly delicious and beautiful they were! i (reluctantly) shared a few and no one believed they were vegan! they are perfectly decadent. the ingredients are organic and the colors are natural and plant based. i have since tried cocoa vida’s vegan cupcakes and they are just as special and amazing.

I contacted Cocoa Vida for my son’s first birthday cake and words can not describe how amazing my son’s cakes turned out. I order two different cakes and I had a number of guests tell me it was the best cake they have ever tasted and seen! Mary was able to replicate the Disney’s Cars cake and brought our celebrate to life. All the ingredients she uses are organic and you can really taste the difference. She can also use healthier alternatives for the food coloring for children! I can not wait to contact Cocoa Vida again for our future events!!!

Amazing, amazing, amazing! For delicious mouth-​watering truffles, cupcakes, cake pops and cakes that are organic, gluten-​free, and/​or vegan, AND that taste so much better than sweets with refined white sugars and junk etc. You can taste the quality, and Mary is just truly amazing herself. I have fallen in love with chocolate and desert all over again with every single bite!
She does incredible wedding cakes and party cakes. I will try to upload some picts that I have from my wedding, engagement, and baby shower parties. She can do ANYTHING that you request, and make it BETTER than what you imagined… Mary is an incredible artist and she takes time to perfectly-​perfect every large and small creation that she makes. From her key-​lime creations to the basic butter crème frosting, every single bite will blow your mind. I put my word on that!
