Too many regulars. Went on a Saturday afternoon and the regualrs were in. Very loud. Bartender did nothing about neither did the cackling owner. Will never go back. Too many better places.

Oniontown is great! We love Gail the owner and everyone that works there! We have had multiple events at Oniontown including my Daughters Christening and my best friends engagement party and we were very well taken care off. Oniontown has great food and the price is affordable and they are a family restaurant and very tolerant with loud little kids! I would definitely recommend Oniontown as an event venue and a restaurant!

Went back for the steak tips that I had before as they were awesome. This time they were absolutely terrible! they tasted like bad meat(vinegar tasting and no marinade or steak sauce??) I told the bartender and he said he could not take it off the bill as there was no manager on duty??? I asked if they changed the recipe? what happened they were awesome last time? Very disappointed, probably won’t go back. so I paid for a meal I did not eat because they were terrible tasting and I told them so… but got no satisfaction just paid the bill and left… Hungry!

We ate there simply because it was there. The food wasn’t bad, at least not bad enough for us to complain to the manager, it was simply boring. We won’t be back.

Steak tips were top notch, surprisingly the onion rings were bland, and lacking much of any flavor. Go with the French fries– they were the surprise of this bar/restaurant. Good service, above average food!

This place has the worst service I’ve ever experienced!!! The locals crowd the bar making rude jokes and the stares… OMGTHESTARES. Sat at a high top, was acknowledged by the«waitress» and took her 15 minutes to bring us a menu and another 10 minutes to even bring us our drink. Stopped in cause we were in the area. Definitely won’t be making a trip to come back

This is saying a lot, because I’m a pizza lover and admit to maybe even being something of a pizza snob — but the pizza at Oniontown may possible be in the top five pizzas I’ve EVERHAD! There were a ton of us there, so we got 6 different pizzas. I think I liked the most basic pizzas best — the cheese and the pepperoni. But the other ones were great, too. And our waitress, Taylor, was also fantastic. Very friendly and attentive. Great experience all around. I can’t wait to go back!

I’ve been here before several times and thought it was cool little place. Recently went in with several friends and 1 of them has a physical disability and we needed a booth table. We told them we were willing to wait for one to open up and the the worker said they’d get the next booth table clean and ready for us. 2 of these tables opened but not cleaned yet, but one of the servers said it was ok to sit at either of them since we had been standing for a while. Immediately after sitting, a different worker ran over and said you no you can’t sit yet because it needs to be cleaned. We went back to standing, and after about 20 more minutes of standing, with the wait staff walking around and ignoring us or saying«excuse me» — as if we were in their way — the empty tables still weren’t clean, so we just walked out and probably won’t be back. Went down the road to Sam & Joes, got a table right away and had a much better experience.

This place isn’t gourmet or anything, but they have a decent burger and awesome chicken fingers. Not the flat frozen pre-formed kind… The fried-chicken-like kind. Moist, flavorful, crunchy… not oily. And their onion rings are pretty sweet too. They were the only local eats open during snowstorm recovery, and I’m glad we have them a shot.

We go here pretty regularly now it’s more of a sports bar. Its the kind of place where you can play music, keno, trivia or karaōke(depending on the night) really good sized bar area and hang out. We only eat at the bar so I can’t speak to the restaurant side. Plenty of tv’s, sports playing all around. They have specials every day, steamers and other seasonal items. Good draft selection and very good attentive bar service. They’ve made some changes to the menu added quesadillas and nachos(plus other stuff). Very good boneless buffalo wings if you like that sort of thing. Steaktips are delicious and I am very picky about my steaktips. The pizza is also incredible especially the garlic, shrimp scampi white pizzza, the small looks like a large, the large is turbo sized. Ladies room is always very clean. It’s a family owned place. Crowd in the bar area mostly married couples, a few young people now and then, people from the bowling alley aross the street.

Typical townie bar. Got a steak and cheese sandwich which was just marginally better than a Steak Um. Beer selection is pretty weak and the prices are kind of high for a dumpy bar like Oniontown. The patrons are interesting, and the bar tenders are very friendly.

Food average, atmosphere questionable. My two kids were served extremely expired milk, as in Nov. 2010 — t’s September 2011 people! So gross, especially since they had already drank some of it. Replaced the milks but charged me for replacements. Seriously? Comped 20% off some of my meal but learned the next day they charged me double for the milk so I still lose. My mistake but I definitely won’t make it twice!

We flew into Boston fairly late at night from Austin, TX, so we found our motel and then doubled back to this little place. The drinks were awesome, not chintzy at all. It kept us coming back several times during our stay. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was good and well prepared. Nothing amazing, but good old comfort food. We will definitely visit again, when we return to the area!

Went in for a pizza lunch. Pizza was delicious. The smalls are actually really big. I was surprised we got charged extra because we ordered«extra sauce» on the pizzas. Didn’t really seem like they put a ton of extra sauce, and wasn’t really worth the extra charge. Bar was very clean. Was a bit scared by the regular crowd there at 1pm on a Friday. People doing multiple shots and basically tying one on before 2pm even hit! Bartender was in her own world most of the time and hardly ever did a sweep through to see who needed anything. Not sure if I’ll go again. The pizza was good, but I can get just about the same pizza with much friendlier staff and a better atmosphere down the street at Sam and Joe’s instead!

I’d like to start out by saying that this review is rated strictly on customer service, as we were there for a comedy show and never ordered food. My husband and I went in last night to see a friend’s stand up comedy debut. We had intentions of getting a few drinks and ordering food while watching the show. When you walk into the restaurant you’re basically in the bar area. It was pretty confusing where the host desk was(not even sure if there was one.) While standing there looking around for an employee to acknowledge us, several waitresses, the(eventual) hostess and a chef who had come out of the kitchen passed by us. My husband decided to use the restroom while I figured out where the show was to take place. I chased down the hostess to ask and she pointed to a door and walked away… okayyy. While waiting for my husband, the same hostess was asked by another comedy show guest if he could order food while watching the show and have it brought into him. He was VERY rudely told that«she’ll see if it’s possible but she’s not promising him anything.» He was there with what I would assume was a date, I was embarrassed for him. We had to walk through the bar room to get to the show. It was a very tight squeeze trying to get around the bar and the patrons who were blocking the way. Whew, finally in the show and seated. We happen to be a table over from the man who was berated in the dining area. And this is when I knew we would never, ever eat in this restaurant. A waitress walks over and places his pizza on the table(guess it was his lucky night and they accommodated his request to ORDERFOOD.) He picks up his glass and asks, «Are there free refills?» Now personally, on a date, I wouldn’t ask such a question but that’s just me. The waitress was angry! She didn’t even respond yes or no to his question, just looked at him and barks, «Ugh just tell me what you were drinking!» Like how dare he ask if there will be an additional charge on his bill for a drink… I think he has the right to know. I had to pick my mouth up off the floor. I looked at my husband and we both said, no we’re not eating here. I still feel bad for the poor guy that was humiliated by not one, but two employees. It was hard to watch. It was apparent that in order to work here, you need to act completely bothered by the fact that you’re answering simple questions and bringing people food and beverages that they are paying hard earned cash for. Our drinks were fine, the show was excellent. We drove over to Sam & Joe’s and had a great fried calamari appetizer, buffalo chicken pizza and a piece of «fudgey-wudgey cake»(LOL). And happy again.

Well my mother told me if I don’t have anything nice to say… so ill leave it like this. This place has non existent service, a terrible menu and a strange smell and the regulars at the bar seemed to be on the lower end of the food chain, I beg you to go somewhere else! From what I hear the family who run it are extremely nice so I hope they can soon fix the problems!

I have been here several times since they opened earlier this year. It is typical Pub food, the first time we went shortly after they opened it was a little disappointing. When the Sox were in the ALCS we gave it another shot since hooters and the Bostonville Grille were to busy. While the TV reception left much to be desired the food was actually very good. I got a Chicken Finger Basket the fries were tasty and the Onion Rings were the best I have had around the North Shore in quite some time. Others with me had the pizza and were actually quite impressed. She is a tough critic on Pizza so it must have been good. Overall I thought it was good and I will go back again.
