Good beer and decent food! Friendly service too! I had the onion soup and mashed garlic potatoes that were awesome. My company had another main dish, chicken I believe, that was mediocre. The beer selection is the best around here. Many options to chose from. Good place for a late night hang out. It gets really busy tho and parking is limited so be warned. ps they honored the Unilocal check in!

I travel for work and stopped in for a drink. I was shocked by a beer selection that will impress any beer snob. Bartender was as knowledgeable about beer as you will ever come across. I am shock and impressed. Best strip mall find for a beer drinker in all my travels! Well done.

–Excellent service — server put us, with our baby and high chair, back, away from others, where we would not be in the way or get lots of nasty looks –Server was attentive but not hovering, checked in after he brought each dish, smiling, helpful, accommodating(brought the check early, as we asked) –Food was good: buffalo wings were ok, patty melt was good, sweet potato fries were excellent –Beer selection was terrific: three Kent beers on tap, many from around the Northeast, very eclectic — I had had possibly 4 of the ~20 beers on tap

My waitress was a total screwup! On a slow Wednesday late lunch visit I was unlucky to get the old lady waitress. As friendly as could be she was not on the ball. I ordered a build your own with 2 cheese but she F’ed it up. The. She ran another tables tab in my Credit card. I don’t feel she deserves a tip which is not my normal response but when I explained that I wasn’t happy she was apologetic and handed me a bunch of return slips for the refund. The burger wasn’t bad but the fries are the weird coated kind. The rest of the menu was not thrilling. Dine at your own risk.

Used to come here years ago when we lived in the area and it was awesome. We are here now and it still excellent and we were happy to see the inside did not change too much. It’s worth the 45 min drive here for us. We will be back. Keep up the good work!

Great food, the best BLT I ever had, good service, kinda cold inside so bring a sweater. At night bar is packed, good prices, mixed crowd. I go there 2 times a month, easy parking. Dark parking lot in back.

Great happy hour. Blows away the nearby places. The drinks and apps were super and all at half price!

Food is cheap, plenty of beer choices, good pool scene. Two pool tables. Service at tables isn’t great, I’ve had to wait longer than average for service. It’s a dive bar but a good one.

Wide Browns is cozy & friendly. Located across the street from Stew Leonard’s on art. 7, it is the perfect spot for lunch or dinner. It has a pub feel with wooden booths, a huge wrap around bar, pool tables & big screen TVs. Our waiter was cheerful and attentive with a sparkling personality. I had the French onion soup which was amazing! The onion stock was so good and the cheese on top was broiled to perfection. I also had the chicken quesadilla. It was grilled to perfection & accompanied with guacamole & salsa. And the wine was just lovely. Don’t pass Widow Brown’s by.

Nice atmosphere and fake staff pretending to be nice. Clam jam here sucks they don’t cook the clams to order so if your batch isn’t at the bottom of the bag then you’ll be eating them cold. Lame place.

I eat here regularly, mostly for business lunches. The waitstaff are always friendly and both the food and service are consistent. I recommend the steak sandwich on a garlic bun, which is all I ever order these days. The beer tap selection is great. Only downside is that I tried to sign up for their loyalty program online. The site was not designed for mobile and was so difficult to use that I gave up. The questions I did get through were seemingly endless and intrusive. Need to simplify that and make that site mobile friendly. Update: signed up for the loyalty program earlier this week in the restaurant, as suggested. Am I supposed to receive an email? $ 5 off coupon?

The food here is surprisingly great for being a kind of divey-looking place. And the beers on tap are excellent. It has a fun vibe if you want low key, pool tables, sometimes live music. I enjoy this place. One criticism – the Tuesday trivia is SO ridiculously hard, and I’m great at trivia!

They change their beer tap every day. Yes, new beer every day! I was sold when I learned that. The burger was good BUT as far as the food goes, it goes only so far but it was good, not spectacular. I wish hey did with their food what they do with their beer. Be more innovative and add more items instead of just sticking to regular pub or bar fare. Gordon Ramsay where are thou? LOL!

I have never felt inclined to write a review but my experience at this bar has changed that. The bar is great and the food was pretty good. However, I have never had the experience I just had. The bar tender was terribly rude and it seemed as though she was intentionally avoiding my girlfriend and I. She was more than happy to help the people sitting around us, they seemed to be more local and regulars. I felt as though I got a cold shoulder from her from the second I walked into the bar. Very unfriendly and unpleasant. I would come again but I hope to never have to deal with her again. Ruined the first time Experience for me. I’m disappointed because I have heard nothing but wonderful things about this place.

I’ve been here a few times in the past, but never sat at the bar or really paid attention to the beer they had on tap. Very impressive selection of craft beer with lots of local breweries involved. Not to mention, their selection of alcohol in general was pretty solid as well. Ended up ordering a cheese quesadilla with the two beers I drank. All were quite good and the barkeep was great company. I’ll definitely pop back in time and time again when I don’t feel like going to larger bars. Widow’s has my vote.

I admit it, the name caught my attention when searching for a place to eat. Had I just driven by it may not have gotten the same. Anyway, it took a few minutes for us to be greeted after seating ourselves, which concerned me, but once Tom said«Hi» it started to roll. Sweet and spicy wings were the special of the evening and were not my usual choice but worked out great. I mean really great. I was totally surprised by whatever inventive choices they used in making these little chicken sticks of heaven. Blue cheese was not required! Prime rib dip sandwich for my son was so good that I ate half of it for him. Fries(my favorite food in the world) were exceptional. I had meatloaf with a gravy that hinted at tomato, with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. All of them were obviously fresh and homemade. I have no doubt that if I am in the area again that Widow Brown’s Café is what’s for dinner! Oh, and there was a bar and pool tables too.
