Staples the Office Superstore

I have been in a couple times to get basic school supplies, and was never too impressed. The sales representatives were unfriendly and unhelpful, but it was convenient and I was in and out so I didn’t really mind. Recently, I asked them about doing a poster printing job for a conference I was attending. The poster was larger than what they offered in store, but said that as long as I uploaded my file online, they would have it available for in-​store pick-​up after four hours. When it came time to do this, it first took about an hour trying to navigate the difficult copy and print website and also being on hold with multiple people because of the website. Eventually, it become clear that they could not do as they said, and that they would have to send my poster to a third party and that it would become available after 7 days. By now it was too late and I had to frantically try to find another place that could do it in a few days. I have no problem with their offered services, and I understand if it takes longer to do larger posters. However, I do have a problem with employees not knowing what the services are, and telling me that it will take 4 hours when it will actually take a week, which then leads me trying to search for another place last minute (luckily, I found a nice one on Federal Road). Because of this, I will not be going to this Staples again even for just a folder. I never left a negative review in my life, but it was ridiculous the stress that this place put me through.

Conveniently located in a major shopping center off a major road, I was able to avoid a trip to Best Buy in purchasing an external hard drive here. If the stupid thing would cooperate & stop being so slow with this «formatting» nonsense, we’d be all set. Service was fine, they have a decent amount of stuff & things were easy enough for me to find here. I’d come back.
