Sal’s Pizza

Very good food. We ordered salads and a few entrees too such as Chicken parm. and baked ziti. Great food. Easy to order and pick up. Prompt and food fresh.

Hands down best New York style pizza in town!
Their dinner menu is ok, nothing special.

Pizza was good, it’s been better in the past. Delivery was on time.

4 stars for the pizza. The closest to ny pizza in this area. There isn’t much of a seating area but it’s the place I go to when I’m craving pizza in danbury. They also deliver which is great in my neck of the woods

I’ve only ever ordered pizza from here but it’s the best in Danbury. My son and his friends order from Sals and they deliver to the soccer fields at their high school. Cool service. They accept credit cards, Craig K should get his facts straight before he posts

Ownership is rude and disrespectful. They also dont accept credit in the year 2013. This is the type of place that deserves to go out of business.

This place hasn’t been reviewed for a while so I felt I definitely needed to review it even though I only get delivery from them. Whatever issues might happen inside of the restaurant, I’m not aware of that. What I can talk about is the delivery and the food.
I have bought delivery from here twice now and each time had a great experience, dealing with two different drivers. I LOVE the fact that they deliver. Being a Westchester transplant, it was a hardcore smack in the face when I called a bazillion places and no one, even within a two mile radius, would deliver! Like what is that?!? So when I found this place and they said yes, I was ecstatic. I thought maybe that alone influenced my like for the food but the second time around it was still just as good!
We’ve had wings, jalapeño poppers, caesar salad, pesto pizza, pizza with sausage/​pepper/​onion and another specialty one that I can’t remember. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the caesar salad. The pizza is quite yummy, not oversauced, and just the right amount of ingredients. The peppers and onions are cut super thin which is great and they put a lot on still. I really enjoyed the food.
The drivers were great too. The first one had a very hard time finding us but continued to try and call until he got here. The second one was quick and knew exactly where we were.
No bad review from me.

The service is the absolute WORST I have ever experienced. I recently became a customer of Sal’s. I usually order 2 chicken stromboli’s or an extra large pie and a 2 liter for delivery from them. The person answering the phone typically sounds too busy to field my calls, but I usually just ignore that fact in favor of just getting my food. Well, the LAST TIME I did business with Sal’s and it will definitely be THE LAST TIME. I placed an order for myself via phone because i was working from home and hungry. Well, I placed my order of 1 chicken stromboli and a 2 liter of pepsi to the rude gentleman to which he responded «Are you kidding me? You’re kiddin’ me right?»
NO SAL’S IM NOT KIDDING YOU, BUT YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!
This place is run by jerk-​offs. If you dont mind being talked to like that, then go ahead and buy from them. Just warning you that their food isnt very good, there is much better in Danbury, and their service is ABSOLUTELY ABHORENT.

The pizza is just ok. Certainly edible and surprisingly not greasy. Their website is misleading. We thought this was a sit-​down type place and that they served alcohol. They have a couple seats in the corner if your desperate. The staff was very friendly.

We used to be big, big pizza consumers, and this was a frequent stop. Prices are reasonable, pick up was usually ready in 15 minutes.
