This is probably my favorite spa in southern Orange County. I love that it is open with natural light. It has a beautiful spa patio with fireplace where you can have lunch or a wine and cheese platter as you desire. The staff is always incredibly kind and knowledgeable. My girlfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful ladies night out here and we will be back very soon. I got a facial by Shannon and my skin looks incredible! My friend got a hot stone massage by Rosalie and she said she could practically melt it felt so good. The facilities are always clean and tidy. Wheel of the steam room and jacuzzi. The showers have wrap-around wall jets and the product smells heavenly. Thank you so much for a wonderful girls night out. We look forward to our next visit.

I would not recommend this spa. Mediocre amenities. Massage therapist with very minimal training. Lack of staff. They do not put the customer first.

For the 2nd time I’ve encountered very un accommodating, elitist staff. So rather than give my usual review, I’m just going to say go somewhere a little friendlier.

DONOTGOTOTHISSPATOGETYOURHAIRDONE! This past weekend it was my sister’s wedding and her and the wedding party scheduled an appointment with the Spa at Laguna Cliffs. We all asked for very basic, simple looks(curls). My niece had her hair curled with two small braids on the side. When my niece left the salon, all her curls instantly fell and the braids were loose and bumpy. My sister who was getting married had extremely frizzy hair and her curls fell instantly. My other sister who was in the wedding asked for a wavy beach curl look but ended up with curly sue tight curls. I wanted a simple wavy curl with my hair to the side and got pounds of hair spray with a bee hive volume look. AWFUL! My niece was crying so much because of her hair and we had to re-curl it when we got back to the room. TWICE! I had to brush out my hair(which was hard from all the hair spray) and re-curl and re-style myself. My other sister had to brush out her hair because the curls were too tight. and the bride was too stressed and had no time to fix hers. Bad hair happens, yes, but my biggest complaint are the people who work there. My sisters and I have called multiple times and the staff keeps giving us the runaround. One staff member(a male) told us they reimbursed the money to my sister’s room which makes no sense because we all paid with separate credit cards. And when my sister who booked the room checked, no money was reimbursed. The staff keeps telling my sisters and I that the manager is either out of the office or will return our call but the manager has yet to return our call. That to me is worse than a bad hair job. What kind of people do they have managing there… If your customers are so dissatisfied, you should be professional enough to at least return a phone call to fix the issue. It has been 6 days since the wedding and we still have yet to hear from the manager. I would prefer to give ZERO stars but there is no option for that so I give them one star

I have to agree with the post about the lunch experience. I went here for a day with a girlfriend for salt scrub and massage and a facial. We were making a day of it and were going to lounge and enjoy lunch after our treatments. We live in newport so it was a 30 minute drive there and when we got there, the front receptionist was not very friendly. She took back a gentleman who arrived after we did, and pretty much went down hill from there. I had a great facial from Marina, my skin is still smooth 3 days later. However I did not like being sold an additional service for a product when I was already there. I ended up doing it, and additional $ 15 for alpha product. These are usually included in an hour long facial. My facialist was awesome though, she massaged my hands and arms and face. My massage was with Nina who again was fabulous! Unfortunately when we went to order lunch, we couldn’t even get a glass of wine for 1 ½ hours!!! NOT relaxing at all. All in all spa is mediocre at best, the technicians were great but not worth the drive and problems with lunch.

Wife and I went there for a relaxing weekend. Got a great package deal that included two treaments per night and valet parking! Was totally worth it. The spa was super clean, we both got comfy robes and the therapists were excellent and beyond courteous! Definitely coming back.

Like a previous poster I went here for a makeup trial for my wedding. It was awful. Two hours after having it on I looked older than I do without makeup. The woman didn’t listen to what I wanted and as the previous poster mentioned I couldn’t not tip her since it is built in. Since I was having a hard time finding someone I called a couple days later to see if I could talk to the makeup artist to see if she could make any adjustments. The front desk took my message and I never heard back from her. Needless to say I canceled all of our hair and makeup appointments for the day of my wedding. The direct service and customer service were terrible. When I called to cancel they didn’t even ask why.

I live in San Clemente and love to come here for a special treat. Always clean. Steam/Sauna/pool/jacuzzi are all included in your treatment. I feel as if I am on a staycation when I come here. Would love to give 5 stars however I feel that the prices for the services could be better although they do give a 15% discount to the locals. Keep in mind that the gratuity IS included in the price so be careful not to double tip.

Took a day off from work to hang out with girlfriends and we planned on spending a day of relaxation at this spa. My friend chose it not because she’s been there before but she wanted to scope the location out for her future wedding. So we got there thinking we’ll have time for a light lunch but since one of us ran late(grrr… j/k =) we couldn’t. So instead we placed an order for lunch to be delivered soon after our treatments… Oh wait, I got ahead. When we entered the lobby, there were 2 ladies behind the desk and neither really greeted us. We had to go up to them and make them look away from that precious monitor to sign us in. When she finally acknowledged us, we checked in and that’s when we asked if we can order lunch. She said Ya sure I’ll make sure it gets delivered right after your treatments.(Should Have Definitely Confirmed This!) The lady who showed us around was nice, the locker room area was small but clean, and the lounge waiting area was ok. They had chocolate covered coffee beans, dried apricot, and this really REALLY good trail mix. I was asking my friends who had a Ziploc bag coz I wanted to snack on it later! Ha ha, of course I didn’t do it! We all got their Tropical Exfoliation special which is a salt scrub with an oil of your choice. And I almost forgot that at the beginning we were asked to choose which fragrance we wanted for our rub and we were told that their supply is limited so we may not get what we want. We all wanted the same and she was like Oh ok, I’ll see if I can make it work. ??? The treatment was awesome! Our masseuses(too bad I can’t recall names) were all very professional, polite, and pleasant. After the treatment, we were all exicted and very much ready for our lunch when lo and behold, we were told that they didn’t place our order. 30 mins later the manager came(the one at the beginning who said she was going to place our order!) and apologized and offered us champagne or cider on the house. Where’s the food? Well she told us that they are«hunting» it down. ??? Ok, I guess they needed to hunt that chicken still for my friend’s grilled chicken sandwich! So another 30 mins(for a total of one hour wait) our food finally came. It was delicious but maybe because we were starving! While we ate, the same manager came out and told us that she will be giving us a 50% discount on our order because it was late. At the end, she ended up taking more than 50% so that was pretty great! Sorry this was so long… in the end, I enjoyed this place the most because of the company I was with. The spa itself was pretty typical and not the best out there.

Poo poo poo! Went here to get my trial hair and make-up done for my wedding and it was a big NO! I cried all the way to my car because both were so bad. I’ll be spending the big bucks to bring my personal hair & make-up person from home on my big day… Also, fyi if you do decide to go there… they incorporate tip into the price, you don’t get to decide on tip… they decide what you’re going to tip for you. Not cool.

Nothing over the top, but nice. The Spa at Laguna Cliffs(located at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott) is a small, day spa that’s great for hours of pampering, especially for its location overlooking the water. My friends and I lucked out with mother nature as we layed out poolside in ‘kinis in December. :) While small and a bit cramped in the locker areas, the jacuzzi, wet & dry saunas are great for a group of 5 or less to enjoy. The spa staff was attentive and all of our respective massages ranging from deep tissue to relaxation were well received. Outside of the waiting/relaxation area is an outdoor fireplace and patio that’s great for breakfast or lunch. Spa service prices are average for the area.
