City of Dana Point

Next to Bell, City of Dana Point has to be one of the most political cities that does not work for their residents who are paying their salaries. I would agree with the previous review that the City in the last five years has changed for the worse. As a taxpayer and homeowner you have the least of rights and this City does not support their residents… If these organizations (Cities) were run like corporate business many of their employees would not be receiving retirements, and when the public in general has a poor perception most companies try to find out what the problem is so it can be resolved… Not Dana Point!!!

The best place to visit if you enjoy watching southern California’s wilderness be destroyed hillside by hillside. If only California had some adults in charge, development beyond Laguna would have been prohibited and this little turd would not exist.

Bum City!
I’ve lived in South Orange County for over forty years and have seen it change for the worse, especially the City of Dana Point. The number of beggars, homeless, and drug addicts has increased dramatically over the last five years! You cannot go anywhere without being asked for money or food. There was one bum who lived in front of a vacant building for two entire weeks!
The portion of Pacific Coast Highway that runs along Doheney State Beach now has people living in their motorhomes! It started with two, then three, then six, and now on my drive to work every day I count at least eight to ten! These motorhomes are all beat up; they’re covered in rust and tarps. There are also people living in their SUVs. They are there at six in the morning, three in the afternoon, and at midnight as well!
The bottom line is this… Dana Point is allowing itself to turn into a dirty, bum infested, shanty town. Do yourself a favor and avoid any business or destination in the city!

Great place for all them old folks from Mission Viejo to come and hang out. It’s pretty boring and lame for everyone else. I have NO IDEA why people younger than me would come here but its not horribly bad either.

Besides the basic horrible polotics, its a pretty place, but i will never move back. they dont value the environment as much as a seaside community should. dont wmiss the harbor, best part of the city.
