We’ve been shopping here for years. If you are a savvy shopper the prices are the best around. But truth be told we love the customer service here. We feel like we are being treated like family. We have a bunch of kids and we are always welcomed with smiles and friendly help from customer service to produce to butcher bakery and seafood I’ve have had countless fantastic experiences here. Best grocery in Damascus by far!

Newer grocery store in Damascus with a friendly staff that is willing to help you put your groceries in your car. Just 4 U program you sign up for online makes Safeway a much less expensive place to shop. Love the Safeway app where you can upload all your coupons and personal deals on your rewards card. Gas rewards are great where we have a Safeway gas station around the corner to use your discount or now at any Exxon or Mobil.
Wish this location offered free WiFi like some of the others do. Makes it easier to use the Safeway app while shopping.

This store never has enough people available to check you out. You can move around the store easily, but be prepared for a long line to checkout. I went early one morning to avoid lines and they had only one lane open and all self checkouts were closed!
Produce is usually not very good either. I have been disappointed by this store several times and will shop at weis instead.

One of only two full grocery stores in the immediate Damascus area. Prices might be a little higher than Weiss, but I feel they have better quality items too. Store is about to change locations to a newer facility, with a more modern feel, more modern amenities. Seafood and Bakery departments are special standouts — the bakery particularly makes amazing doughnuts and cakes. I much prefer Safeway over Weiss, and generally seek Safeway out wherever I am. When they have sales, they are hard to beat.
