The people there are very nice and warm. The samoan food is delicious. You have to have the taste buds for this kind of food, otherwise it’s not for you. The falefo taro is prepared just right. I love the chopsuey. I guess they stop making chicken, but if I can recommended BBQ chicken the plate would be the bomb. As for the pineapple pie, I would recommended you bake it in the oven to brown the crust. Otherwise, when it’s time I love my samoan food. Thank you Polynesian Island Luau.

To start, The ladies were very warm welcoming and I appreciate their hospitality as I walked into the building. This review will be solely on the quality of food. I ordered a pineapple pie, which was cold and bitter tasting. The filling was a horribly textured-colored jelly like filling. The pie crust wasnt good at all either. The taro was harder than trying to chew on a rock. Food looked like it was a week old, and might have been I was terribly sick after just tasting a Lil bit. May be food poisoning. Really makes you miss Levi’s fresh food and amazing pineapple pies. Wish they didn’t close shop. Never coming here for food.

I was craving Hawaiian food. Poke, spam, kalua pork maybe. I didn’t get any of that. The food is pre cooked and kept hot on warmers. I’ve never tried turkey tail before– dang this bird has got a LOT of junk in their trunk. If its the classic Hawaiian/Polynesian flavors you are seeking– this is not your restaurant.

I love this little shop there is nice accessories and jewlery to choose from and very nice Hawaiian fabric that is offered at a good price. I loved the customer service there which I was greeted by the owner of the shop and she was the sweetest lady she even offered me a sweet custard filled pie which was so good and weighed about 5LB lol. This is my favorite island store I’ve been to in the bay area.

I love this small little one-stop shop for those missing the island life! Don’t expect to ‘wine and dine’ because this is not that sort of place. You can buy food here for take-out or eat at the tables set up just outside of the shop. This place has music, clothing, crafts, fabric as well as food. The people here are very friendly and the food is good, but it may be an acquired taste for most people. It’s a down-to-earth atmosphere here. It would be better if this shop was bigger. It can get pretty crowded with only a few people in the store because of all the things they have inside and how it is set up. Nonetheless, this will soon enough become one of my favorite holes-in-the-wall type of place. I’d like to try their baked goods on my next visit.
