Good colombian good. Very good arepas and empanadas. Very nice and friendly service. Local owners, support them. Visit and review. It would be nice if they could clean a bit more.

I did not like this place at all. While they were nice the food overall was mediocre to really bad. Two summers ago I had the pleasure of surprising my husband with some Colombian food at this place I found while vacationing in San Diego and the food was AMAZING!!! We went back the next day and ate again. Fast forward to now we decided to find one near us in the Bay Area and travelled from San Leandro to this place. My husband whose Colombian got way to excited but somehow we ordered 12 empanadas and they cost $ 50!!! He thought he read 4 for $ 2.50 whatever before we saw the bill we were just excited to eat. I was so disappointed 1. Food came backwards I got my two tacos that I wanted with a side of rice n beans… Why did they put it ON my taco, they also brought out the bandeja that myriad and ordered. Then they brought out the empanadas and arepas which looked nice on this huge platter. THENTHEYBROUGHT out our drinks. 2. The empanadas had no seasoning what so ever, appeared to be all potato inside with barely any beef. None of the veggie stuff you’re supposed to add. I’ve made these once and Im not Colombian and everyone loved them. How do I do better than the actual Colombian place!!! 3. The arepas weren’t firm and it tasted like so much sugar had been added to it. We literally ate one of each and almost cried out of sadness and devastation. We left the arepas all 11 of them and would of done the same to the empanadas but I didn’t want to feel rude and was hoping I could give it to a homeless person or something The rest of the food was ok. But I felt like we were robbed to the max. I’ll never go back there again. JUSTTAKEMEBACKTOSANDIEGO where the food was authentic and delicious!

Best place to find home-cook Colombian food! The owners are warm-hearted and friendly, great service and generous portion! It opens pretty late too, so I know where to go for those late night cravings! I love Arepas and Super nacho here; the tortilla is particularly crisp

On first glance this place doesn’t look much different from a lot of Mexican places, don’t let look fool you. This place’s strength come from it’s Columbian dishes. Ask if you’re not sure which they are, the cook, Angel, is super nice. The arepas here are great and if you’ve never tried maracuya juice you’re missing out. Food is a little pricy and slow, but you should leave happy and full.

I haven’t eaten at this location since it changed ownership about two years ago. I was bitter that the previous tenant Pulatan had gone out of business or moved… but then I found myself famished at 930pm. What to do? I went over there and grabbed a super burrito. Excellent decision! I ate it so fast I can’t even remember if it had guacamole or not. It was absolutely fantastic. The flavor was two cuts above was I’ve come to expect from $ 7 burritos. I messed up and didn’t order any arepas. I will definitely get one next time(and there will be a next time for sure). I love local vendors! Go Mr. Pollo!

I have to update my review and I am sad about doing so! The staff are all very nice, but I cannot let my Unilocal community down. We came in and though our order was simple, it took a long time to get our food. The plates and silver ware were not clean. The chicken in my arepas was tough, like it had been cooked then reheated, and the pieces were not butchered well. My boyfriend’s meal also had pieces which we could tell were not freshly cooked. While I like the arepas here, I cannot continue to come back. This place needs a good spring cleaning, a dishwasher, and someone who is cooking food fresh upon order. I would have been happy waiting for that!

Amazing, a diamond in the rough. The arepas are delicious. Boyfriend and I were visiting from hawaii and the owner Angel treated us with excellent service and tips on where to go in the city.

I loved this place! Best Colombian arepas I have ever tried. This is a family managed restaurant and the owners always provide great customer service. Just understand that this is a Colombian food restaurant. Do not go there looking for the best Mexican food. That will be like trying to find great sushi in a ramen restaurant.

I came here today after months of searching for a Colombian restaurant; specifically craving Bandeja Paisa. The place was quaint & the staff was incredibly welcoming & friendly. I ordered Maracuya juice(which was very delicious) & of course Bandeja Paisa. Being from Colombia I can honestly say the seasoning was very authentic & the frijoles tasted like the ones made in Colombia. Also, the Arepas con Queso were to die for! If you’re looking for a Mom & Pop place with friendly staff & good food this is the place to go!

I came here to get a super burrito for $ 7. It was supposed to have cheese, salsa, beans, rice guacamole and meat. The burrito had no guacamole, no salsa and the chicken was stale. I threw away half of it. Save your money and eat at a different burrito joint, there’s tons of good ones in the area. That’s what I get for trying something new. I’m giving two stars because the lady who took my order was polite and the spot was welcoming.

Long story short: Me AND my boyfriend got food poisoning. I’m really sad to leave this review b/c I used to LOVE this place! This was my go-to burrito store when I first moved into the neighborhood. The last time I went here and ordered a super burrito, my boyfriend decided not to finish his b/c he said the chicken smelt funny. I didn’t believe him, so I saved the other half for lunch the next day. The next day I opened my lunch, and the chicken smelt so bad my co-worker smelt it from across the hall. I did not eat it, and unfortunately, I had to join my boyfriend at home from work the next day b/c we both had food poisoning. So sad — the owner is really friendly but I can’t go back.

It’s so refreshing to have some versatility in the Daly City Area. This restaurant speaks to that diversity because it’s Colombian based and offers a variety of Mexican food as well. But predominately Cuban food is sold here which is so nice to have because it’s hard to find in this area. Here are some words that will help me get my point across. Deliciousness, freshness, and very filling. These are the verbs that describe this restaurant and it’s food in my opinion. Anthony was our server and he was very polite and had no problem explaining the different kinds of food and even its origins in Columbia. He grew up there with his family so it made it feel so much more authentic. More authentic than some of these restaurants that claimed they cater to that specific cultures food. Yet get their recipes off of a social media website. Here you have authentic Colombians cooking these meals and it definitely shows in the flavor and the freshness. We ordered the empanadas. They were light and deep fried to perfection and filled with a potato and beef. The Arepas were also delicious but the great treat for me was the national dish of Columbia called Bandeja. This is a huge platter of multiple items such as: Chicharron, beans over rice that are sautéed in pork fat, Carne Asada steak(which was very salty). With a side of chorizo sausage and topped with and egg that’s cooked over easy. I will gladly return to try more dishes off the menu. The inside of the restaurant is painted beautifully to represent parts of Columbia. It’s colorful and the restaurant overall is clean. I was very satisfied with my meal and left extremely full, so all in all a great start to a restaurant that I will hopefully visit frequently.

* Delicious Blended Mango Drink * Delicious Burrito Mojado * Delicious Empanadas * Delicious Bandeja Paisa (Arepa thin and toasty, tasty and crunchy chicharrón) My parents are originally from Bogota, Colombia. I’m always on the lookout for Colombian food when my husband and I are traveling. Great little spot that serves Colombian, Nicaraguan, and Mexican food. Thanks, Anthony for the great service!

The food is greasy and overpriced. In fact, some of the prices seem to be made up on the spot. I was overcharged by a dollar for both horchata and an arepa. The only consolation is that the arepa was pretty good. But it wasn’t good enough to warrant a return visit.

Walked by this place last night, looked at the menu and decided to come back today. My god was it a great decision. The food was excellent. I ordered the Chicken Sandwhich w/bacon. Literally one of the best chicken sandwiches in SF. This was the only Sandwhich that could compare to Boos Voni down near Geneva & Mission. The chicken was grilled perfectly and the melted cheese really complimented the bun. Will I return? YES. The customer service is also very great! Friendly cashier and friendly waitress. Always checked up on us to make sure we were okay as well as the food.

Never saw Columbian food before so was excited to try it out.( ) Came for a weekday lunch; it was pretty empty. You order at the counter and the food is brought to you. The interior has murals. The didn’t have lines of cocaine as a menu item but they had Mexican favorites like tacos, burritos, enchiladas, etc. even hamburgers. I focused on the South American stuff with everything coming out to around $ 40 with tax and tip.( ) *EMPANADAS — Recommended by the cashier. Deep fried to perfection they were filled with this creamy potato mixture that could have used some seasoning. Pico was given as a side.( ) *BANDEJAPAISA — The national dish of Columbia! A platter of chicharron(this one was deep fried pork meat not skin), carne asada(Mexican style), chorizo, rice, beans, and topped with an over easy egg. Everything but the chorizo had subtle flavors. Not a lot of spice since they don’t use alot of chilies. Thought I’d be more excited but wasn’t.( ) *PATACONRELLENO — Best dish, order this. Thought it was going to be like chili relleno but it was more like carne asada fries over plantains instead of french fries. Really good flavors.( ) ARROZCONPOLLO — Chunks of dark meat chicken, frozen veggies?, with rice similar to the paisa except this one added a sauce. I prefer Peruvian Arroz con pollo.( ) Reasonably priced. It was cool trying out, I think outside of trying their arepas I’m not in a rush to go back.
