This is a very traditional Filipino Restaurant and I grew up around a lot of Filipino friends and families. So I had a lot of good authentic filipino food before. I tried the Sisig(sizzle platter of beef) but I’ve had better before. It’s quite greasy and not the flavor I remember but one can even that out with a bunch of rice. We had a large party so had the Kamayan which came deep fried fish, squid, chicken wings, lumpia, shrimp and a few balls of rice. The sinigang(soup) lacks a bit of flavor but with all that fried food on the table, it settles the stomach a little. Oh yea you eat with your hands on top of banana leaves. They had a certain method that you ball up your rice and flick it in your mouth. It’s quite an experience. Lastly, get yourself a lemonade here. It was my favorite thing here from all the fried goodness I couldn’t handle.

LIARS!!! So disappointing. Prior to my visit, I called ahead to see if their halo halo has pinipig, they said yes it does. I got there, ordered two halo halos BUT when I got back to my car and drove off the halo halo did NOT have any pinipig. How can you lie about an ingredient? I’m not going here ever again!

There sisig is there best bet as they have to cater to their name — but try calling and order to go — SOBAD — the lady hang up on after putting me on HOLD for 10 minutes. When I came in to pick up my order — the cashier was rude but I let it go because I was hungry — so here I am — have to help about this place.

I love sisig, so when you name your restaurant House of Sisig, I have to go eat there. I was at a big table with my family, and the first thing the staff does is cover the table in banana leaves. Well, there’s a surprise! We’re eating with our hands today! I had never done that before. It was way tougher than it seemed. The food was decent; nothing too special. I’ve had better Filipino food, honestly. But the service was great, and the size of the servings were generous. I’d probably come back here again.

Service is HORRIBLE! My family and I waited to be seated for over 45 minutes and we seen a group leave there were empty tables that needed to be cleaned and not one employee cleaned those tables right away. So we waited another 15 minutes and finally after I came up to a woman and asked when we are going to be seated, she told me rudely we needed to wait because there are no empty tables which clearly there were 3UNCLEANED tables that were left alone. So we just walked out. An employee even looked us and not even say a word. They don’t know how to treat their costumers warmly. I used to go to this place for years and years until today.

Horrible service. Nobody was flipping tables to sit new customers. They take too long to help us out. Seems like they don’t care about their business.

I usually order their sisig. While ordering over the counter as to go, I saw how they chop the meat on a wooden block and the chef scrapped it with a butcher knife(including the wood) which ended up on my order. Pricey which is typical Filipino restaurant coupled with small serving. Since then, I just make my own sisig…

We came a day after thanksgiving as this was the only Filipino restaurant open around the area. My husband ordered tinapsilog which he said was«okay» and I ordered sisigsilog. I gave 2 stars as it wasn’t sisig at all! I may not be a pro in cooking but I know for sure that sisig is different from«chopped grilled pork». Yes. It was just«inihaw na baboy». NOTSISIG!!! The serving was a LOT but i was already disappointed so I barely finished my meal. Customer service was«okay», again, coz they were able to sit us right away and took our orders promptly. However, the servers probably don’t know how to keep their stories by themselves. We heard EVERYTHING as they were talking out loud that everybody in the main dining room heard it. Funny thing is, my husband was about to put the to-go boxes in the plastic when the server approached him saying«Sir, let me show you how to open the plastic bag. You do this, etc.» I wasn’t paying attention when it happened as I was paying the bill. But WTH??? You’re trying to teach your customer how to open a plastic bag? My husband is 30 years old not 3!!! Omg!

Horrible service! I went here by myself, but no one was there to greet me at the door. However, when right behind me a large group came in they were seated right away and their orders taken. I tried to catch a server’s attention but they continued to avoid eye contact. Since they were going out of their way to avoud me — possibly because I am just one person versus a large group — I decided to leave. There is no point to go and support a business if they decide to pick and choose who they serve! Avoid!

I love the amount of food they give you. I always avoid coming here because they have the worst service. They always serve people who speak Tagalog first, and they never come to check on you and take forever to give you your check. They’re also slow at cleaning tables after customers leave. I’d rather go to Tselogs for better service.

My mom, my son and ordered: Pancit Bihon Pork Sinigang Fried Chicken Lechon Kawali Steamed rice Pros: Steamed rice was cooked really well Lechon Kawali and fried chicken was edible Cons: Pancit was soaked in grease, garlic was undercooked taste was displeasing Pork Sinigang was a joke. The meat was old and you can taste it. I literally spat mine out, like none of the meat from the sinigang is being digested! And when my mom complained the waitress shouted out complaint to the cooks in the kitchen, it was definitely audible from the dining room so we heard the cook barking his side from the kitchen, RUDE! The money we spent would’ve been well spent elsewhere. Never going back.

If I could only give this place 0 stars, I would. They serve their sisig cold. I bought sisig here a few times and most of the time, it was cold. Most recent experience is that my mom ordered it to go. My sister and I had it for dinner, then we both ended up with a stomach flu. It’s been 4 days, and I still have a nad stomach ache. This place used to be good. The sisig used to be the best. What happened guys?!

So today on 9÷17÷015 at 9:15PM I was told I could not order because they were close but they clearly state they close at 10 o’clock. I don’t know why they will not change the time but if its after 9 o’clock don’t look for this place as a option. Hope this helps fellow Unilocalers

You eat with your hands… how can that not be legit? Three things you need to know here: — BBQ(don’t bring a vegetarian, they won’t have anything to eat) — Everything is on the Banana leaves — You eat with your hands. So this is apparently how they used to do things in the Philippines. Best bring someone with you who speaks Tagalog so you can translate the menu. There’s a lot of dishes on the menu, but you want to get the Kamayan, and bring some folks to help you eat it. That’s the BBQ party pack and there’s plenty there. Usually we order just below the amount of people we have and add 1 to 2 other dishes(depending on how hungry you are). The food that you’ll get is a mixture of sides(sour mangos, onions, tomatoes, salty eggs, yams and eggplant) and BBQ meats of all sorts, usually Chicken, Squid, Fish, Pork and of course Lumpia(Egg rolls). Oh and rice.(Hey! Its a Filipino restaurant, rice is pretty much a given.) And you eat all this with your hands. Yes yes you do. They have a hands cleaning station out the back so make sure you use it before and after. They do have forks and you can get a plate if you want to. Just ask the servers, they’ll have them for you. But really this place is known for the hands eating thing, so you might as well. Know this. This place does look scary. Its not the cleanest looking establishment nor does it look even half way decent on the outside. But! If you are looking for good fill and a unique experience this is the place to go to. Kinda like being in asia but not actually in asia. They do have other meals too that you can eat normally on plates and bowls, but honestly, wheres the fun in that.

Despite all the negative reviews, I enjoyed the food here. Granted, it was my first time eating Filipino food, and I don’t have much to compare it to. They had kamayan, which is traditionally eaten with hands on top of a banana leaf. I liked the concept, but me being a germaphobe, I asked for a fork. This didn’t stop be from experiencing the authenticity of the meal. Will definitely be back if I’m in the area!

We came all the way from LA and we were all excited to dine in this restaurant and by surprise I was not happy eating in this restaurant. First, you will notice how dirty the place is, the waiters here are very loud and not pleasing. All we here are the waiter arguing with his fellow waiters about tips. It’s very annoying because you can’t enjoy your food hearing them talking so loud. Second, we ordered the kamayan special, sizzling pork sisig and combination soup. The kamayan we ordered was to dry, it felt like its been cooked for days already and just reheated, its too oily and the meat is overcooked. The sisig is very dry and very oily. The soup is fine but the«pork» they served in the soup doesnt even have a meat but instead they served the«fat(taba)» which is very disgusting. Third, the restroom is dirty and has a bad smell. This place is horrible, the food they served is not worth tasting. I will never go back to this place again and will not definitely recommend it to anyone. I would rather go to isla restaurant because they serve good food and the price are worth paying. At first When I saw the review I was thinking twice to go here but my husband told me to try it, but I was disappointed. It deserve a one star or less. So think twice before buyingfood here. The place deserve a total gut down. It needs to be checked by the owner and please repremand your server to observed proper service because he is very loud and unpleasing to the customer. It’s the bald guy im talking about. They have the worst customer service.

DEAROWNER/MANAGEMENT: SHUTTHISDISGRACEOF A PLACEDOWN! You make the rest of us Filipinos look real bad. How can you sleep at night serving food that you yourself wouldn’t serve to your own mother!!! I mean, seriously!!! Would you give your mom or your loved ones the same service you give your customers? Would you watch your mom eat frozen chopped tomatoes and half cooked squid, as you do with the customers you expect to give you a generous tip and a pat on a back!!! Nope, I didn’t think so. Fire your cook, fire your server… and fire yourself for embarrassing the Filipino community who pretty much populates 99% of Daly City. And the only reason why you’re getting a star from me is I can’t write a review without giving you one apparently.
