I’m honored to be able to write the first review for Fix Wood Floor(FWF) as a company and specifically for Tony, who is absolutely the best to work with. I had a great experience with FWF and would gladly be a reference for the work done. 1. Tony(FWF) is responsive and prompt and punctual. I’ve been wanting to have my staircase and landings sanded/restained/refinished and some small hardwood floors done, and other contractors took weeks to respond and to get me a quote. Tony responded immediately and had a quote to me the next day. 2. Fair/Reasonable price. Their prices were better than most, but not all of the quotes I got, but what made me go with them is how their experience and knowledgeability showed. Tony saw the project and made a ton of suggestions I hadn’t even thought of out of his experience in working with flooring. All of those suggestions made the project turn out better than I had initially even envisioned. 3. Neat/Clean/Organized: Tony laid down plastic/paper to protect the path into the house, used booties on his feet when he walked in, was super tidy even as he worked(not just at the end with cleanup), and then finally cleaned up thoroughly after himself. 4. Professionalism: Tony accurately spec’d out the work and the time it would take to get the work done. Worked expeditiously, meticulously, and carefully attentive to detail where I’ve seen other contractors haphazardly brush just to just get the job done — he put a lot of pride into his work, which I greatly appreciate and respect. 5. Trustworthy: I felt completely secure/safe leaving Tony alone to do work at my place while I was out. Tony completed the work without any unexpected surprises, mistakes or upcharges — what he quoted is what I paid. He finished his work on time as expected. 6. Quality: It wasn’t easy to match the stain color used on my other flooring, but Tony’s experienced eye helped get the job done even though I was dubious on whether he’d be able to match it well. He added nice touches like staircase step moulding, floor to tile transitions,(and even helped me on a side project with a circular saw on my dresser to make it fit a space — outside the scope of the project — free of charge, just to be helpful!). The work looks fantastic, and once I finish the paint for the walls and crown moulding, I’ll post some finished product photos along with this review. stay tuned. I’ll definitely be using Tony and Fix Wood Floor, going forward for other flooring projects and am glad to recommend them!
