Broadmoor Cleaners Laundry & Alteration

I had a great experience with Shay at Broadmoor Cleaners. I was traveling and needed a pair of pants/​shirts dry cleaned on the fly, meaning that day. Shay was even nice enough to drop them off at the Hampton Inn down the street on her way home later that night. She was very friendly and they did a great job too. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

No star rating at all. Will never ever go back to this place. They lost my daughter’s new dress that I brought for alteration. Waited for more than an hour looking for the dress… very unhappy with how the male owner handle the situation… had to charge them for the dress, i was still nice not to overcharged him. Daughter cried because we spent days looking for that dress just for some irresponsible people to lose it. Very disorganized and the place is so messy.

If I could give a negative rating I would. The name of this place should be Laurel & Hardy or the Three Stooges Laundry. I called to inquire if I needed to make an appointment for an alteration. The person on the phone spoke little to no English and told me to call back in 15 minutes to speak to the owner. I called back, someone different answered so I asked if this was the owner. My Lord he was so rude and gave me the third degree on who was I, etc. Who is he running from? I was told that no appointment was necessary for alterations and yes they have a private area in which you may change. I arrive shortly thereafter and the owner is out. The young lady at the counter, very nice, said the brother was there who did alterations. He really wanted nothing to do with me because it was a ‘hem’ job and told the gal to measure me. The changing area, OMG, it is right up front where customers enter, left of the counter. A 3×3 area with no chair or place to put your clothes AND you’ll love this… there is a curtain on a rod that you pull shut and close with a clip fastener, like for office papers!!! It was the most awkward, unsafe, uncomfortable area to change in. I knew that my outfit needed to be taken up at least 5″. It would require cutting. This poor gal is on the ground trying to pin this up, with customers walking in… just horrible. She finally asked for help and the brother reluctantly comes over, puts a measuring stick on the floor and very roughly makes a chalk mark on the outfit in my calf area. The young lady explained to me what he was doing. I asked him how much he was taking it up and he said 2 – 2 ½ «…I don’t think so. I asked him to recheck and he finally said I was right 5 – 5 ½». This was a new, tags still on, $ 130 outfit. I was so very hesitant to leave it, but against my better judgement, I did. I picked it up about a week later, the chalk mark was still visible, it wasn’t pressed and he sewed the hem by machine… not a blind stitch!!! I paid my $ 12 and left. It is still too long, but I am going to hem it myself and ‘chalk’ up my experience as a mistake and lesson in life. Both times that I was there customers were having issues too with communication, the changing room from hell, their cleaning thrown on the floor in a pile, not ready or couldn’t be found!!! The topper was the ‘tip jar’ on the counter labeled ‘tips for Mission’…yeah right. As God is my witness I will never go back there and I suggest you don’t either!!!

If I could give negative stars I would. I came in on a Wednesday. And the lady said it would be done by Friday the earliest. Saturday the latest. I came both days. My things weren’t even ready. I came back on Monday and yet it still wasn’t ready. I’m a business man and I needed my suit to be ready. Now it is the Monday after and I just got it. Never come here. Spend $ elsewhere.

Wow, I’m flabbergasted at the level of efficiency and service they provided.
I left my jacket with them on January 2^nd… got my jacket back today, January 23
First they can’t decide how much they’re going to charge me and promise to call me the following business day. aaaaand that never happened.
I come back from vacation and wander in expecting my jacket… only to find that they’ve lost it!!! I had to come back three times to get it and they charged me full price for the service. guess they realized I was never coming back

Super alterations! The owner is a Master cutter from his former home country… They lost my shirt but eventually found it. Hope they stay open much later, and also on Sundays.

Same day alterations! And for a great deal! I brought in two pairs of true religions and one pair joes jeans to this place. The nice little Filipino lady behind the counter told me to try on the pants for her to make her markings. She was quick and precise. I called many other places before coming here and they would tell me original hem for jeans would be $ 20+ and it would take a week to get them back.
I paid $ 11 for each pair of jeans and the hem looks just as good as original hemming! And I got them within three hours! Can’t beat that!
