Bayshore Heights Park

Wow, this playground is a throwback to playground dinosaur times. When Daly City forked over $ 8 million to create the Bayshore Community Center on Martin Street, it forgot to spend some of that remodeling the existing playground. As of today, the playground is so terribly outdated and neglected.
The grass is green, but the dark green paint is chipping off the wood. The wood is splintering off, and the slides, while functional, look rusty. I can’t see any tot wowing and ooohing at the sight of such dilapidation. The only redeeming quality this playground has is that it is still functional for the neighborhood little kids. If they added some fresh colorful paint, this place would not be so bad. Under one of the beams is a piece of graffiti: «Joanne is still a slut.»
I would bring my son back to this spot only if I were desperate. This is one neglected playground that is in sore need of renovation NOW.
