Willies Burger & Fish Fry

If you went by the outside look of this place and didn’t stop, you would miss one of the best dining experiences of your life! When I am asked what is good one the menu, I honestly have to say everything. I have tried many items on the menu and everything was excellent. Just be sure to bring an appetite because the servings are huge! A combo meal is almost a challenge to finish all of it. And I have to mention the lemonade… It is addictive! Some of the best I have ever had. Now don’t plan to sit down and eat here, it’s truly a take out place with a walk-​up window and drive through. Unless you know exactly what you want, I recommend skipping the drive-​thru and taking time to read the menu. So if you want anything from burgers to subs to fish and chicken to hot dogs, you must give this place a try!

they have everything, really good food

The best burger I have ever had. Staff was friendly and the food was served quickly. When I want a burger this is where I get my my burger fix.

The is a great small local place and if you ever come to Dalton you have to come here. The portions and quality are the best!!!

In my hometown (Columbus OH) this would be some hipstery, trying too hard, unauthentic letdown. Luckily here in Georgia this place is LEGIT. The burgers are the size of frisbees before they cook them. The chicken po’ boy that I got was the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. It was 2 huge fried chicken patty’s, covered in some secret sauce, hot sauce, pickles, tomatoes and lettuce and it came with a giant bag of fries and huge drink. My friend got a double chili bacon cheeseburger that looked like one big chunk of juicy, cheesy delicious meat and a macaroni salad that was made with a spicy as hell mustard. Very glad we stopped here.

Huge portions of food, which is always delicious! I’ve not been disappointed in any item yet!

If you have a craving for some big comfort food, this is the place to go! We visit this little place at least once every two weeks if we can.
Staff are always kind and patient.
The service is always great and quick.
The serving sizes are enormous.
The price fits the serving size.
(One burger combo can pretty much feed two. A full sub order can feed 3 people. Loaded with fries at the bottom of the bag)
Their combination of ingredients just trumps any burger in Dalton.
If you’re not up for a burger, they have subs, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and fish sandwiches too.
My Favorites: The Miss Piggy burger, The Big Kahuna chicken sandwich, The Shrimp Po’ Boy, and their Hot Dogs w/​chili chow chow and slaw.
It’s really all up to the hungry patron who stops by! Don’t be afraid to try random things each visit! They do a great job.

After seeing the reviews and video I just had to go. I kinda expected some seating but there were just a couple of places outside so it’s really just a walk-​up/​drive through place. Don’t let that put you off. The food is great. Large portions and the service was friendly and quick. I had the catfish platter. 3 catfish fillets, fries, hushpuppies and cole slaw. I could only eat half so I got two great full meals out of this. I will most definitely be back for more!

What a great spot! This place should be featured on Diners, Drive-​ins, and Dives!
Willie greets you immediately and is quite a character. I had the shrimp and calamari combo. Very good but simply too much food! My coworker and I could have easily shared one order between us.

Would definitely comeback. Great food very filling and large portions at a great price. Not a lot of seating but great for take out. Food is fresh and served quickly.

The good lord above has certainly personally blessed this shack that is home to the best burgers in NW GA. Recommend it to everyone.

If you were to drive past this place it might be easy to not really look or even stop. This is where you would be missing out. They have unique options. Their burgers are very creative and could easily compete with the food truck culture of Atlanta. I ordered The Big Fat Elvis burger. It has two huge patties, lots of cheese, peanut butter & jelly, and bacon. The burgers are huge so you may want to think about sharing the burger. My friend ordered The Batman and Robin and loved it! Drive through or pick up window, very quick service, and courteous staff!

Regular catfish sandwich was 3 large filets nicely fried. Giant order of fries. It was good.
Now the burger…
I got the Black Widow Burger– mushrooms, provolone, thousand island. It was huge and look great! But the taste… The burger had been precooked, then kept in a weird tasting broth or something and reheated on the grill. It tasted weird. I had the chef cut it in half for me (because they have no plastic knives) and the burger patty had a weird, unappetizing texture where it was cut. Again, over all, it was weird! I couldn’t finish half because of the flavor.
Service was fast, portions were huge and the folks were nice. Just quit pre-​cooking those burger patties, they’re gross!

Willie’s can be summed up with one word: satisfaction. You will never go home hungry. All portions are generous. The sandwiches are massive. If you order a shrimp poboy you don’t just get a handful of shrimp, you get over a dozen. The large BBQ sandwich was so massive you can hardly get your mouth on it. You can tell everything is made fresh and to order. The sweet tea is HUGE, and it’s $ 1! It’s the perfect strength and sweetness. Give Willie’s a try and you won’t be disappointed.

I had heard good things about this place. I didn’t know it was mainly drive thru. A walk up window with 3 tables… we were lucky enough to get one being odd hours although the drive up window was busy the whole time. I had the California burger which was amazing and huge. Husband had the catfish sandwich also amazing and huge… good fries we shared. Arnold Palmers to drink! Friendly service including the cat… I think it was half ownership!

I stopped by for lunch today through the drive through. I ordered the «special» 3 piece catfish combo which included 3 huge catfish tenders, fries, hush puppies, and a HUGE drink for $ 9.99.
Service: Good. I mean I can’t really say much about since I went through the drive through. They seemed really busy although there was only one other family there. It took them about 5 minutes before getting to my order but I didn’t mind since I was looking over their menu anyways. The food came out outrageously quick and with a smile!
Food: Alright. I wouldn’t say it’s worth the $ 10 but the portions were definitely large. The crunch on the catfish was not that appealing. It just wasn’t…tasty. Maybe I’m used to the cheap overly seasoned super crunchy fish filets at captain D’s but if that’s what «homemade» taste like, I’ll stick to the cheap captain D’s. The fries were good though, thick cut crinkle fries and very crunchy. Hush puppies were definitely overly cooked and burnt as you can see in the picture I will attach; tasted good still though. Sweet tea, deliciously sweet like good southern sweet tea.
Location/​ambiance: it’s a shack, what do you expect?
Overall: Interesting menu and friendly crowd. I’ll definitely try them again but won’t be ordering the catfish again.

If your reading these reviews stop now and just go, this place is the best from the fish to the burgers. A++ i leave in Atlanta but im in the area a lot so i will be back soon. Customer service is great to.

Took their Cubans off the menu. So… Maybe next year they’ll get them back…

OMG! Willie’s brought back the Kahuna Sammy!!!
This is an absolute must try. It was this sammy that originally lured me to try Willie’s in the first place, and then it disappeared. I was sad, but still immensely happy with the other options. But now it’s back and my heart is whole once again.
The Kahuna is a larger-​than-​life fried chicken breast served up burger style. And it is awesomeness between a bun. I love you, Mr. Willie and Crew.
