Walked in on Sunday around 6. Not busy at all. Was not greeted at the front door and there are no clear signs as to how to order and it’s no obvious. We ended up walking up to the bar to grab a drink. And we waited and waited and waited… bartender with lip piercing was too busy flirting with the people RIGHTNEXTTOUS to acknowledge our presence. I pulled out my timer just to see how long this would go on. As it approached 5 minutes when the restaurant was half empty, my bf was like… nah let’s go. On the way out, I told her just how long we waited to which she responded«I didn’t see you» yeah… ok

Still love this place, went this past Friday for a few cocktails and lucked up on a free meal. Winning! lol The chimichanga pollo verde was delicious! And the pineapple cinnamon margarita was so yummy! My only negative and it’s minor is the huge open bar window which is cool in the right weather but this Texas heat is ridiculous! lol

Our first visit with a bad experience. The bus lady gave us better service than the waiters. The waitress was too busy having a conversation with her Co-workers than to see if we needed anything. Very bad service I would only go back just to have bus lady wait on us.

One of my favorite week night spots. Perfect patio vibe for Dallas summer nights and the best nachos in town. The manager, Willis, is extremely hospitable and is always quick to say hello. Quickly becoming a regular and would recommend to anyone.

I had visit on Sunday night 05÷29÷16 after having a bad experience with a transaction on my credit card to to human mistake of the server I was pretty upset regrading that we stated to the server that we were paying all cash and still ask for are cards. Believing it to assure for walk out or something in place. Well I was able to get in a great Pleasant with the help of jasmine to refund me the amount that was charger in my credit card and street her apologize of the mistake that was done. As we all make mistakes we should be kind and things would be take care of. As for visiting again I be going again to try out their food for the first time since I had just a drink at the place. Thanks agains jasmine for helping me resolve this issue.

They had horrible customer service and the food was mediocre at best. We sat down and the waiter told us it was happy hour so we ordered margaritas. We then asked another waitress when happy hour ended and she said over an hour before we came. She said she would go find out why he said that but never came back to tell us. Then we got a bill for regular price after she said she was sorry but they were regular price. If they had good customer service they would have fixed our tab due to the waiter being misinformed. This place needs to get their facts in order. Also the garlic beef burrito bowl was no bueno!

You can get better Mex at Chile’s. It’s not horrible it’s just not good. They use queso that I’ve bought at Kroger’s, tortilla soup came out cold and doesn’t have any flavor. Only good thing here is the bartender and drink menu. In other words don’t come here for the food!

I can’t believe I’ve never been here before. This is the perfect spot to grab some good food before heading out for a night on Lower Greenville. The menu is great — lots of variety! I had a tempura battered shrimp burrito. HELLO. It was insanely good. The portions are huge and very filling. I was prepared with a solid base for a night of drinking that evening. It’s great people watching too because most people are preparing to go out for the night. There’s plenty of seating. They do serve alcohol — so if you want to get your night started –this is a great spot! I don’t think I’d seek this place out on its own because parking can be a pain. However, if you need to be in the Lower Greenville area for something else– this is a solid lunch/dinner spot.

The food was really really good. We ordered a beef taco which my date said tasted like smoked brisket(yum), the Chicken Tortilla soup, and a Tenderloin Tamale. Chips and salsa come with the meal. ***Now for the three stars rating: our bartender/server named Mark. Mark barely acknowledged us, rarely even looked away from the outdoor bar, didn’t realize that eating utensils are generally part of the whole dining experience. He didn’t bother to tell us that chips and salsa are included with our meal. He thought it was funny when they brought the complimentary chips out to us, but we had already ordered the chips and salsa. He also left it on our tab until I told him that he should have comp’d it – which he did. The copper bar also had a funky, unclean metallic smell to it. I’m pretty sure it’s not in Mark’s job description to clean the bar.

Good — fun environment, good for groups, nice outdoor sitting area, yummy chips and salsa Not so good — food is very average, queso is not hot enough, chile relleno is luke warm, signature fish taco is nothing special(can’t really taste the flavor of the fish), and veggie salad(needs avocado). Chipotle is probably better . 2-stars in terms of food but the environment bumps them up a star, hence I go ahead and give them 3-stars

I went in for the first time today and was immediately greeted by the bartender and instructed where to go and place my order. The set up is great– similar to Velvet Taco, except it’s an added perk that Yucatan doesn’t call your name, they deliver your food to you. I didn’t pay attention to the price, but it seemed fairly inexpensive– $ 4 for a generously sized taco and fountain drink. I had the tempura taco and everything I’ve consumed since has been tasteless by comparison… It was SO good! No disrespect to the delicious Velvet Taco, but I have to imagine if they had the publicity VT has of being on the intersection of Henderson and the traffic jam of 75 Central, they’d triple their business… But please don’t swap locations with them, I like the Greenville vibe! Equally noteworthy, the owner and GM were happy to take a moment from their conversation to chat with me, a first time customer and hear my opinions and feedback. True customer service is sometimes truly hard to find, but not at Yucatan! Thanks for an all around great experience!

OMG! If it was not for Unilocal, we would have completely missed out on this amazing taco stand! Its a inside/outside bar when you can smell the meat and grilled veggies from outside! The pictures on Unilocal it was sold us to get the Nachos! You just walk straight in and there’s a place where you can order your food at. You take a number and then find your own seat. There’s an outside patio area as well! The customer service was outstanding. We had a few people come up to us and ask us how everything was! Their prices are pretty reasonable! It’s at the very beginning of the strip! So if you are in the mood for tacos and tequila, please stop by the place!

Cool taco joint plus great tequila selection! I recently visited Yucatan Taco Stand for a friends birthday. We did the tequila pairing with the 5 courses. The tequilas varied by your taste buds, but went amazingly well with the food. It was unreal how some of the tequilas would taste like a tire or dirty socks, but suddenly when paired with a smoky pancheco it was spot on. The pina chicken was tender and fresh. There was an expert who explained each tequila as you received your course. It was a good deal for the price and a very neat experience. The margaritas are also top notch. Their salsa could use a little more heat. It’s very tomato-e, but I liked the consistency. The dessert served with this February pairing will hopefully wind up on the menu… it was freaking awesome! Hard chocolate covered ice cream with coconut and caramel sauce. Yummy! I can’t wait to go back and try something else :)

Pass through bars are a big win for me. I can stroll by, take a seat and without much commitment I can enjoy a drink and maybe some food if the mood strikes me. If the mood does not, then I pay for my booze and stroll on. That’s what I did on a sunny day when I spotted some friends of mine bellied-up to the bar at Yucatan. I like the reboot. Admittedly the inside is not as much fun as the outside. But sitting at the bar outside is nice. We had some mixed drinks which were strong and some Garlic Shredded Beef Nachos which were tasty. I must admit it is hard to mess up strong drinks and nachos. They were busy and seemed to be caught off guard by the increased business. They could have used some more staff, but it happens.

Good lord this place has incredibly lackluster service. My friends and I went to Yucatan because Truck Yard was packed on a lovely 70 degree day. There seemed to be plenty of outdoor seating on such a nice Saturday afternoon so we were pleased with being able to find a spot without being crammed in the patio area like a bunch of sardines. Perhaps there was a foreboding reason why we were so easily able to find eating. You order inside and grab a number so that whatever you’ve ordered will be delivered to you later on. All 4 of my friends ordered and we were supposed to be on the same ticket. I ordered the chicken tequila nachos and those came out promptly. Taste wise, the nachos were alright. It’s a generous portion — I sure as hell would hope so for $ 10 nachos. Unfortunately, they’re not the type of nachos that would make me fall to my knees but they are the reason why this review is 2 stars instead of 1. My friends ordered tacos, burrito bowls and queso but none of those orders came out for a good 45 minutes. We received another table’s order and the individual who delivered it to us did not believe us when we said it wasn’t ours. My friends went inside to let them know what was going on. Drink orders were also mistakenly placed at our table. None of us would say no to free alcohol but we weren’t receiving the drinks we had initially ordered either. Once everyone did finally receive their rightful orders and drinks(apparently the bar was a train wreck), duplicate plates of the same orders came out and we were repeatedly asked if we had received something. I had already gotten the chicken nachos and three different people came around with a platter asking if we had received ours. Yes, we did. Look, there’s at the empty nacho plate on the table that a bunch of inebriated folks devoured! We ended up with a bunch of random tacos on our table that we didn’t even order in the first place as well as random piña colada. The staff seemed apathetic and didn’t acknowledge that their ordering system was a mess. Whatever is going on from cashier to kitchen to delivery is not working at all. There are far too many better alternatives on lower Greenville.

I love this place. The food has great flavor & can be very addictive! The staff is friendly, location is great, & prices are very reasonable. My favorite thing I’ve had is the garlic beef nachos! So great and plenty to share, the nacho portions are HUGE! Margaritas are good too!

Tried this place out on Saturday night and it was super crowded. I thought it was very strange that with a line of people 20+ deep, they only had one person at the register taking orders. I think maybe it’s to make you order a drink at the bar while you wait. We waited in line about 20 minutes and then waited another 20 minutes for our food to arrive. The jalapeño cucumber margarita was very delicious, although a little steep in price for a taco stand(about $ 10). The other cocktails looked really good too. My boyfriend and I split the pork nachos and it was HUGE. We could barely finish it and there was plenty of food on it(including queso)! Plenty of seating outside when the weather is nice and it also seemed to be a dog friendly patio.
