OK this is the worst food and serivce I have ever expereinced in my life!
Wanting to try African Food my date actually had a great idea to try this place out because it was close to my work.
First of all hardly anyone was even in this establishment and we now know why. We asked the waitress what we should order and she was not helpful. Food is literally gross.

I came away from this one fairly disappointed… I flew into Dallas where I used to live and had the itch for some African food. I picked here because it was new, I believe they moved recently but anyways I’d never been and I’m all about trying new places. I ordered some jollof rice w/​plantain & assorted meat to go. My big mistake was not checking the order before I left, it smelled great so I didn’t bother. When I got back to the hotel and open the container I was like WTH. a mound of rice, plantain but the meat picking were horrible. Small piece of goat, cow tripe and I dont even know what other part of the cow the last huge piece was but it wasn’t edible .no meat on it… useless!
Rice was good I’ll say that, but maybe I was just that hungry. Plantain was ok, but meat portions horrible for the $ 12 price tag paid, I feel like I basically paid for a mound of jollof rice because that’s about all I got out the meal…
My little 2 cents would be they could reduce the amount of rice and give better pieces of meat. meal definitely lacked value in that sense.

Have you ever liked a restaurant so much that when they fuck up you don’t complain? Well this is one of those places. I’ve been eating at this restaurant for about four years now. I must say, they have a very tasty menu. The problem I have is when I order my food to go. When you ask, and unfortunately pay for extra meat it’s not separated in a container, and you definitely don’t get any extra meat. They so-​called «piled it on top». I ordered the jollof rice plate w/​assorted meat and only got 2 pcs of extremely tough goat meat, along with two hefty pieces of skin with the bone in them.

I am reviewing the food only. They have moved and I haven’t been to the new location yet. But the old location on Centerville and Saturn Road is where I last ate. Their meat pies are solid, consistently good. I love the jollof rice which has just the right amount of spice and it isn’t too soft where it is mushy but it isn’t undercooked where the rice is too hard and chewy. The goat meat stew is very good. The goat meat are big chunky pieces that are soft. The fried plantains are sweet and ripe which I love. I haven’t had the eba or the fufu but the fish stew and the goat meat stews are really good. I will give an update once I visit the new location, hopefully they have improved their wait staff because the few times I have visited this restaurant, although it did not bother me, the wait staff was rude in the sense that «they couldn’t be bothered/​hurry up with your order type» rude. Also, they need to work on their cleanliness because a couple of times I have been: 1) the booths were sticky and 2) tables were LEFT dirty and weren’t cleaned until a customer came in ready to be seated.

Ordered Ogbono and Eba over the phone. I called, a woman answered, I gave her my order and she said okay… and hangs up the phone. Lol
I was a bit confused but I gave them about 15mins to get everything prepared. They are located in the parking lot next to the family dollar which is pretty convenient for me. As I entered the restaurant I must say this play is really dark. Extremely dim lighting EVERYWHERE. I could barely see. I was greeted by a waitress with a stiff smile who assisted in ringing my order. Smooth process.
NOW The food… the Eba was old, dry and stiff. I didn’t feel like complaining so I had to pound garri when I got home. The ogbono was half filled in the container which was strange but the taste wasn’t bad at all. I wish there was more but I would def order it here it again!!! I just wish I hadn’t been given frozen Eba from months ago.
I give them a C+ for effort
