I’ve been a procrastinator the last four years around Christmas time. I don’t want to compete with all the shoppers at the malls anymore, and that’s compounded by the fact that I’ve waited just a few days before Christmas to even think about Christmas presents.
And for the last four years, I’ve relied on
to perform my shopping via the Internet. Maybe it’s because around this time, JC Penney has free shipping on anything bought on their website (or it’s just deliberate timing on my part).
What do I buy off of JC Penney’s website?
Gold Toe socks — The best socks money can buy for dress, casual or sport wear. I still have Gold Toe socks from twenty years ago! I’ve converted all my sons to Gold Toe socks… that is all they’ll purchase in the way of socks now.
Big Mac workwear — Just as good as Carthartt or Dickies! And you don’t have to break them in for a whole year like those brands! Durable, stain resistant (for the most part), affordable, and in a pinch a little more fashionable than the other brands.
Stafford — dress shirts and underwear. This is the only brand I buy. Fits me just right, and looks OK too.
Magnum by Hi-​Tech work shoes — Made famous by members of the military (and the cops)… these shoes last a lifetime and are comfortable to boot!
Dockers Slacks — Was a fan of this brand the very first day they came out. Perfect fit (on me, at least), nice looking… their fiber content has decreased over the years, though, where slacks just don’t last as long as they used to make them.
Stuff will get to you in 2 – 3 days… how convenient! Just sit back and shop from home! That’s what I do.
