Walker Stalker Convention

This was a fun event to attend. The actors were very friendly and seemed to really enjoy their time with everyone. The lines moved quickly, the food vendors outside had good snack food (hot dogs etc) I would have liked to see more of the «A» list stars and MUCH MORE zombies creeping around to take pictures with & more event stuff to purchase, My favorite things at the event… the Q&A sessions, meeting Zach Galligan from the movie Gremlins, and visiting a booth with a young couple in the process of making a movie called «Monochrome» — the couple were charming & the movie looks very interesting. I’d love to see what next year has in store.

I attended the Dallas, Tx Walker Stalker Convention and was pleasantly surprised at how well it was run. My group of four adults used our Living Social vouchers to pick up our wrist bands with no wait. We arrived an hour before General Admission was let in and waited in a long line. However, when the line was let in to the convention, it was very fast. We immediately went to one of the autograph booths and waited less than 15 minutes to get a selfie with Giancarlo Esposito (Gus from Breaking Bad). We then went to David Moressey’s booth (The Governor from The Walking Dead) and waited about 45 minutes to get a picture with him. The panels held at the convention were great. We watched two of them and the large screens set on both sides of the stage were awesome. I liked that the venue was large and open. You could hear the panel even if you weren’t sitting in the audience. The interactive games were entertaining, one of our group did the Zombie Apocalypse and enjoyed it.
The reasons I did not rate this five stars are:
— tickets were given out to people waiting in line for pictures, to minimize the length of the lines and for safety reasons I think. The volunteers gave them out in the wrong order, which resulted in people from the back of the line getting through first.
–there was not enough to do to for two full days of attendance.
