Urban Outfitters

Not the best urban outfitters I’ve been to but one of the busiest. Originally I thought this was a place where they sold novelty items and some clothes now they mostly focus on clothes so I really don’t shop here unless I am shopping for someone else.

They played Tupac while I was here, that’s all I have to say.
Oh and their jewelry kicks butt too.

Nothing short of s disaster. Stuff everywhere. I was sent in a wild goose hunt twice by two employees while looking orbs disposable camera’s

The Urban Outfitters at Mockingbird Station plays the most vile and inappropriate music! I was there last week with a 17 y.o. and a 13 y.o. and they were embarrassed by the music. You have a nice selection of clothes but please do something about your music!!!

I love shopping here when they have great sales. The best time is when they have either an extra 40% or 50% off on sale items. They have clothes, shoes, socks, accessories, books, bags, and more for both sexes. It’s a hit or miss service here, but as long as I walk out with what I want, I’m cool. Their clothes are cute and trendy, and most importantly, they fit me… small people’s struggle.

I love UO. Most of the stuff is too eclectic for my taste but there is always something worth checking out. Sure most of the stuff is overpriced, but many of the items are pretty rare stuff.
I wanted to write a review of this place for Von. He was one of the staff there and he was awesome! He went out of his way to be super helpful and when a pair of shoes weren’t available at this particular location, he checked the other stores and eventually found a pair online to be shipped to my home for free. Awesome service!
I ended up walking out with a bottle-​opener ring. :)

It looks as if most of the reviews of this Urban Outfitters locations are a year or two old. It seems to me that maybe UO has been checking out Unilocal,because the customer service is much better now. Much more friendly, less pretentious, and they continue to have some of the best t-​shirts in the industry. You can beat some of the old school stuff they have.
For those of you saying to go to the Mockingbird Station location, you should revisit the Northpark one… they seem to have improved.

The truth is about 90% of the clothes here aren’t for me, but I have bought a couple of t-​shirts here, and I love them… it’s a little more expensive then the usual, but I think it’s worth it.

Don’t go here! Go to the one in mockingbird station! Here the employees really don’t care. They stand around and talk or stare out in to space. I had to hunt down an employee and almost beg to find out what a price was.
Me: Please please tell me the price
UO employee: Oh god your going to be gaudy enough to ask the price before you buy. You are no where near cool enough to even breath my air.
Yup that sums up my trip.

Stick with the Urban at Mockingbird. The sales, furniture, and staff (for the most part) are so much better at the original location.
I’ve been to this location several times. Weekends, weeknights, Black Fridays, and Sundays. Without fail, the employees just kind of suck.
One weeknight about a month ago, I ventured out to Northpark with a friend, and grabbed a few items to try on. The girl literally said nothing in the dressing room:
Me: I think I have 4 things.
Her: (blank, too-​stoned-​for-​work stare as she grabs my stuff and haphazardly dumps it on a super cool chair in the dressing room)
Me: Thanks (no sarcasm, as I’m still trying at this point)
Her: (trots off in a daze)
Among these items was a lovely Kimichi & Blue beaded, strappy dress. No price tag, no other dress like it, and even though I’d grabbed it from the sale section, I was almost positive if was a full-​price fluke.
Up until this point, I’d felt so-​so about this particular scenester heaven.
My friend and I head up to the counter to pay about 15 minutes before closing time to purchase the dress. Little pangs of guilt hit me when I noticed the time (I’ve worked several retain jobs), so I apologized to the girl ringing me up. No acknowledgment. Instead, she’s simply freaking out about the lack of taggage on the dress. I apologize again for the fact that it was the only one, but she’s clearly annoyed, and too busy adjusting her strange facial piercing/​dirty hair to hear me or care.
Eventually, she lugs, with great effort, an enormous binder onto the counter from down below, and flips through it, clearly annoyed. Five awkward minutes later of me apologizing and her scowling, her manager comes over. He’s just like the guys in the Jeffrey’s skit on Saturday Night Live (
), only super scene and twice as bitchy.
He starts loudly complaining about how OLD the dress I was attempting to purchase is, and how he just REALLY doesn’t know how much it costs, because it’s ANCIENT. JEEZ.
At this point, I jokingly tell him that I’m sorry I ruined Christmas, and he glares at me and mutters presumably bitchy phrases under his breath to Amy Winehouse, who leaves to go stack men’s pearlsnap shirts.
In the end, he let me have it for $ 10. Which was nice, and I’m grateful for. But seriously, I would have spent more if it meant better customer service.
Stick to the Urban at Mockingbird Station… better selection, apartment and kitschy décor, sale section, and employees. The end.

I have one. I got it at UO. I bet they have them at both stores. You however, are not cool enough to have one. I was sooooo excited I had to open it up at Snuffers and play with it on the table. My daughter kept yelling «I WANNA DO IT TOOOOO!» She, being marginally cooler than you, was allowed to play with it.
Most fun you can have for $ 10.

Obviously you do not know what a spirograph is or you would be very excited. This UO has gotten better. Used to the one at Mockingbird blew this location out of the water. However, as late, they have had some really cool stuff on their sale table.
