Great, clean trail. Love that it goes on both sides of the river. Had the trail all to myself on a Saturday afternoon

I walk here almost daily. it is so calming. And now all the wonderful different birds are coming here too. Its like being in the country, only it’s in Dallas. I strive to see more of the trail as I progress in distance and time. its a MUST do! With great photo ops.

Great trail with a spectacular view of the bridge and downtown Dallas skyline! They are doing a lot to this area to expand and make it better for walkers, runners and bikers. I’ve run through here a few times before during races and it is certainly beautiful. Not a lot of parts of it are shaded though so be prepared to bask in the sunshine! I can’t wait to come back out here during the summer and get my tan on.

I think this place is between 3 and 4 stars right now… there isn’t a lot of paved section for a road bike and sometimes you can see dogs off leash. It’s a 50⁄50 issue… it’s great that it’s not used as much, but because it’s not used as much you have people do things like let the dog off leash. As more and more people find out about this place it will become like WRL or the Katy Trail and not as good to ride a bike… but in the end it’s a beautiful space. Those of us who live on this side are hoping the Trinity Toll road dies and that money gets invested here and on surface roads… But in the meantime you can really enjoy the peace of this place in a busy city. They have big plans to connect here to there and this to that… but it’s taking a while to get that pavement laid. The views of downtown are stunning and I can see a future with some wetland, maybe a dog park, some food trucks… now? it’s just you and the trail. On another note, if you have a hybrid, mountain bike or gravel bike you can actually explore much more of this magnificent trail/space.

Sky’s the limit There is a new jogging/biking trail in town, and it just happens to have the best view of town. The Trinity Skyline Trail is a game changer! Finally, the area between the levees will become a recreational jewel instead of the neutral zone between affluent Dallas and the often forgotten other half. This trail is part of the new regional biking superhighway initiative that will connect downtown Dallas and downtown Ft. Worth. For the most part, the trail is still pretty bare bones. While some of the trails are brand new, it also connects to the older more delapidated Trammell Crow loop. There are a few broken sections and a lot of to be paved sections. There are only a handful of benches scattered throughout and no water fountains are to be found, so make sure to bring your own. The Trinity can be seen at several points, but a lot of the heavy brush hasn’t been cleared out. Still, you can definitely see the endless potential for a majestic park if this space is properly developed. The views of downtown are great, as are the cow sculptures at Trammell Crow park. Once the Sylvan Avenue Bridge is completed, there will be two parking areas, but for the time being, park at the Continental Pedestrian Bridge Park. As long as the Trinity Toll Road stays dead, these empty river bottom fields will one day be the crown jewel of Dallas’ Park system. Field of Dreams
