The best tacos I’ve had in my life period. The nachos and queso is really good too. At lunch time this place gets packed, and there’s no questioning why.

I love Torchy’s! Usually, the«brush fire» taco, but sometimes a good old-fashioned beef fajita, regardless, they never let me down. Service is fast and friendly! Have tacos on the porch with drinks!

People rave about Torchy’s but I’ve tried it twice and it’s just ok to me. They try to put way too many ingredients in a lot of their tacos and both times I’ve eaten there my taco was cold. It was like they left it sitting in the kitchen window for at least 7 – 8 minutes after it was cooked and they weren’t even that busy either time I went. It tasted ok, but Velvet taco is way better. I“d rather make a longer drive to get velvet taco than go to torchy’s out of convenience. Torchy’s really is overpriced for what you get. And what you get is room temp, soggy tacos with way too much cilantro. I dislike the whole«secret menu» thing they try to do. Just put your full menu up. But what pisses me off the most about this place is that they charged my card not twice, but THREETIMES. Once a day for 3 consecutive days!!! Why my receipt kept getting transferred to the next day and they continued to charge me each day without even looking at the date is bewildering. What kind of troglodytes do they have working at this place? I’ve had to call my bank numerous times to get the Extra $ 36 they charged me returned to me. It STILL hasn’t been refunded and I just keep going round and round. Save yourself some frustration and go to Velvet Taco instead. This place sucks.

Best queso and chips in Dallas, best beef tacos in Dallas, everytime I come to Torchy’s I leave satisfied. Even my kids love this place. I found out about this place last year and been coming at least once a month.

Stopped by when I saw the Torchy’s sign. Who can resist a taco, even at 10 in the morning? Not me. Ordered the fried avocado taco. YUM! And YUM! I love avocados and they are fried. They are served with an avocado sauce, which had a god taste, but z little spicy for me. The order was 2 tacos, but there was so much good stuff, I was able to make four. I was a little disappointed the had diet Mexican drink, but I really couldn’t tell any difference from diet coke. I would’ve like the corn tortillas cooked a little longer, better yet, fried. All in all it was good. I wanted to try a Lil nookie, but my better sense took over.

This one is close to work and I don’t feel awkward eating by myself during lunch time. The menu board is big and the food comes out quick. More chill than other locations. The staff is very attentive and will go out of their way to service you. I want to give a shout out to a particular employee; there is a petite African American woman that usually buses the tables. I don’t know her name, but she is really great! Always on top of her game without being overbearing like most servers I’ve experienced.

Pretty good tacos. It’s a bit more pricey than fuzzy’s, but you get more in your taco.

Damn one of the best Tourchys I’ve been too and I been to the original one in Austin. Compared to the SMU Blvd there’s no competition. I was like where’s the flies. Food looks great like a better quality and service was great. The pregnant woman at the register had awesome hair by the way was helpful. I like the way the management was asking customers«how’s the food» you never see that at SMU and they were just as busy. I’ll diffidently be coming back to this location. Keep up the great job guys.

It wasn’t expensive either.

MASSIVETACOS, SECRETMENU, and TACOOFTHEMONTH. A lot going on at Torchy’s, including the bar, interior décor, and wide variety of sodas that don’t include coke, pepsi, sprite, and the other usual suspects of diabetes. The tacos are huge and full of meat, with a few vegetarian options. The average grown man can fill up with 2 – 3 tacos. Check out the secret menu online to further your choices. The taco of the month is a force to be reckoned with, in terms of limited availability and unique flavor combinations. And now, the food. The Food: HIT or MISS, YOU’LLBEFILLED: The Democrat & the Ace of Spades(Secret Menu) The Democrat: Delicious, tender barbacoa(slow cooked beef) along with onions, cilantro, and an 1⁄8th of an avocado(at least, a huge unadulterated slice) on 2 corn tortillas. THEBARBACOA has such a strong beefiness that immediately takes you into comfort. It is meaty, but at the same time, it is not at all heavy on the palate because of the onion and cilantro balancing it out. There is little oil/grease, and much beefy juices and flavors oozing out. The creamy avocado enhances the decadence of the barbacoa and combines well with the soft, and tender barbacoa to bring you into ecstasy. This is the Democrat that everyone loves. Delicious and well worth it. I’d give 5-stars for only this. The Ace of Spades: FIRSTHANDLESSON, HOTDOGSANDTACOSDONTMIXWELL. Note: This usually comes with a large flour tortilla, but I opted for corn tortilla. When I got it, it came with 4 corn tortillas and looked like a mini burrito or monstrous taco. VERYFILLING. Ace of Spades contained a jalapeño sausage link, grilled brisket, green chile queso, cotija cheese, sour cream, Diablo sauce, and topped with a fried egg. A lot of elements, but they do not agree together and the sausage link dominates the flavor(–1 star). These elements provide more of a filler effect, as it is very tough or near impossible to distinguish each of these elements(–1 star). If you are hungry, go for the Ace of Spades and sub with corn tortillas. But flavorwise, it just tastes like a low-carb hot dog. Half the time, I didn’t even realize I was eating cheese. The heat and fragrance of the Diablo sauce(habanero) did not stand out; as tame as pico de gallo. WAIT, there was grilled brisket in there? Didn’t even notice. I won’t be trying this again. Note: Heard the margaritas are really sweet, so go for them if you’re in for the sweet tooth. The Verdict: THEDEMOCRATWINS and THEACEOFSPADESSHOULDREMAIN A SECRET. Large and unique taco portions. Great bar and interior décor to make it a down home place for friends and family. Unique sodas that aren’t usually found in supermarkets. The Democrat and its barbacoa must be experienced and clearly headlines the menu. The Ace of Spades should be ordered under the context of starvation. I will definitely be back with some coworkers to take on the rest of their unique menu and the taco of the month. The Democrat might be that taco that I will order upon each visit, because it reminds me oh too well about Dallas, Texas.

These tacos are huge! Two or three should be enough for most people. There is a secret menu that you can ask to order from. The secret menu tacos are so good. My friend and I tried the Matador and Hillbilly. I wish I could remember what was in these. The fried avocado taco off the regular menu is also great. The fountain drinks are different brands I’ve never heard of. I tried the Black Cherry and didn’t really like it. The Mexican Cola is much better. I wish there was a Torchy’s in Chicago!

Good tacos(except the seafood options), fast service, full bar. Very casual setting that is good for lunch or a very casual dinner. You order at the counter and the food is brought out to your table or can sit at the bar. The menu is expansive without being overwhelming and I really enjoyed 2 of the three tacos I ordered(Democrat, Mr. Orange and crossroads) with the democrat being the best by far. The one I would recommend avoiding was the Mr. Orange which contains blackened salmon and tasted so fishy I couldn’t finish it. The salmon is what prevented this from being 4 stars. Either serve legitimate seafood or don’t put it on the menu — no one wants to eat old/low quality fish that has a strong odor. Perhaps i should have known better than to order cheap seafood in texas. Also, the side guacamole is excellent and has a little heat to it — definitely recommend getting.

Awesome location and setting. I placed an online order and it was ready when I got there even though I had a very short drive. Service was great as someone was there to greet me instantly even though the restaurant was pretty crowded. Ordered 2 tacos alongside an order a queso and the food was pretty good. The tacos were actually amazing especially with the Diablo sauce and extra toppings if you please. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area. I’ll for sure be visiting again. Cheers!

With tacos being one of my favorites foods, this place is up there on my list of faves. I usually get their Green Chili Pork tacos, which is shredded pork with onions and cilantros or the Baja Shrimp, which is shrimp with this tasty cabbage coleslaw. The Brushfire is really good as well, it has jerk chicken, and my favorite vegetarian option is the Fried Avocado, which is literally that. Also, I have to says hands down their queso is the very best. I could eat their queso for days! The restaurant itself has a very cool atmosphere and cool decorations all over, and they have a «Secret Menu» that you can order from.

My two favorite tacos are Trailer Trash… and whatever the Baja Shrimp one is called :) the queso and guacamole is delicious and PLENTY for a table of 2 – 3, which I love! And last but not least… their bloody Mary’s are TOPOFTHELINE! As someone who looooves a good Bloody, this place, strangely enough, tops my list. I come here all the time and can’t wait to go back again!

I cannot get over how good these tacos were. I got 3(greedy, I know): The Democrat The Crossroads Green chile pork All on corn tortillas All 3 were delicious but my most favorite was the Democrat– the barbacoa was SO delicious! They do give you a lime and some salsa, but I didn’t need it. I have nothing bad to say about this taco. Really, I have nothing bad to say about any of the tacos. The meat was plentiful and had great flavors! I’ll definitely be back!

We don’t have Torchy’s Tacos in California. :( So my brother-in-law took me and my husband to eat here while we were visiting. When we first walked in, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I noticed the offbeat décor right away and the different textures of wood, textures, patterns, and colors.(uhhh…hmmm?). Also, they were playing ‘90s rap and hip hop. Hhaha. made me feel like I was back in middle school/high school! They had so many choices of tacos… breakfast tacos and almost every kind of meat. We ordered… The Democrat(beef barbacoa), Chicken Fajita, Mr. Orange(blackened salmon, & Crossroads(smoked beef brisket). The individual tacos were a bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it. They were so delicious and I also liked their choices of fountain drinks. If ever in TX again, I’d be sure to find a Torchy’s! 76⁄100 Reviews for 2015
