Dallas and the Metroplex is replete with caterers. To be in business, their menu must be varied, and their food tasty, and most are that way. The difference in choosing a caterer is in the service. I attended a Modern Luxury event at the Maserati dealer in Plano, and TK Culinary was the caterer. It was a small event, and they passed three hors d’oeurves, sugared pork belly, chicken meatballs in a pesto sauce, and cheeseburger sliders. They were all very good. The problem was the service. There were less than 50 people there, but the food came out v-e-r-y slowly. The servers gave the impression that they would rather be somewhere else. They gave what can only be described as a dirty look if you dared to take another of the same hors d’oeurve on a second pass, and with a comment«Do you want another one» with the emphasis on «another». It was uncomfortable to say the least. If you want good food, try them. If you want good service, forget it.
