I went to see Wilde/Earnest put on by the Kitchen Dog Theater and had a blast! This play is an adaptation of Oscar Wilde The Importance of Being Earnest to modern times. The whole Cast and Production Staff did an amazing job and the whole play would be lacking without their brilliant individual contributions. I’d like to highlight the exceptional performance of Jenny Ledel who captured my attention from the moment she came on stage. She is talented and graceful actress and I hope to see her in whatever she does next.

The MAC is a huge non-profit space(which means that none of the work shown in the gallery is sold within it) that hosts up-and-coming artists and established ones. Many of my professors at UT Arlington have had work shown there and it’s great to see local artists get a show there as well. There are three different sized rooms to view work and they also have a theater called the Kitchen Dog Theater. Becoming a member of the MAC has some great perks, students(like me) can join for only $ 30 and can submit work in their annual membership show(talk about a boost for your CV!) I’ve visited the MAC twist thus far and plan to make many visits in the future.

This week you’re in luck if you’re trying to find the MAC– there is a 20′ MACrodon affixed to the roof to guide you there. And to guide you to Billy ZInser’s Macrodon exhibit. He and his fellow artists share this quaint space that is run on donations alone. Every employee is extremely nice and informative. And the artists are new and fresh. What a great way to spend the beginning of your evening! The Kitchen Dog Theatre shares this address.

I have been nothing but impressed with everything I’ve seen at The MAC. The two gallerias small but have progressive and unique art that changes frequently. Since the art it for sale, there is no entrance fee so GOSEESOMEGREATART! I’ve seen two plays here in the Black Box Theater put on by Kitchen Dog Theater and they were both extremely entertaining and thought provoking. Dallas needs more places like The MAC !

I saw one show here, that was decent. I think they also have plays. Worth keeping on the check list, and noting it’s progression. Member show is open to all for a small fee. Worth checking out.

I visited the members’ art exhibition at the MAC and was impressed by the quality of this gallery. The art was all over the map, some good, some not so good. The space and service was great.
