Brent and his team were excellent. From Eric who helped take the application and made himself available for questions on the weekend, to the originator, Ashley and Rita the processor. Rita even called me to personally explain what they needed and walk me through a potential issue. I saw exemplary professionalism from each team member and they were extremely quick and responsive.
The portal link they gave us to upload our documentation and e-​sign worked well. I think that part of that system was a series of automated emails that explained what was happening and where we were in the overall process. The updates were very useful and were often followed up by a personal email or check in if they were requesting information from us. It was a great balance of automated communication and personal communication.
This is a great team and I have already recommended them to friends and co-​workers.

I’ve been burned by lenders in the past who promised an accelerated delivery date in order to get your business only to drop the ball and cause a moving date to push out. Not so with Brent’s team. Not only did they get our loan approved in an extremely accelerated time, we were kept up to date with tracking metrics throughout the entire process. There were no «black holes» when the loan package goes to underwriting for approval. The constant flow of communication helped us understand exactly what the lenders needed to help them get the loan approved as well as showed us that they were working hard to get everything lined up for us.
I never once felt like I was just another case number to First Choice, but rather a treated with a personal touch I’ve never seen before with a financial institution of any size. Brent even showed up to our closing in person to make sure everything went smoothly; which it did, funding within a couple of hours after closing.
I can tell you for sure that I will be going with Brent and First Choice from now on for any future home purchases.
