Gary is a fantastic teacher that takes great interest in the needs of his students. Ego is not a word in Gary’s vocabulary so it never gets in the way of what the student needs. I would highly recommend the Dallas Drum School no matter if you are an experienced musician looking to brush up on technique or learning how to play along with your favorite group is a bucket list item for you, Gary will tailor his approach to you.

Gary is a mix of rocket scientist, and musical genius. He is an expert in the rudiments of percussion but is also a creative Rockstar. His ability to mix classical instruction with real world improvisation is wonderful. I’m in my 40’s and was hesitant about signing up as I thought I going to be too old to figure it out. Couldn’t have been more wrong! Gary was patient but persistent and made it all make total sense. I wouldn’t hesitate to send (will be soon) my 7 year old son there either.
Bottom line is Gary and the Dallas Drum School is the Gold Standard in making your dreams of being a drummer come true.
