Being Mexican and growing around real Mexican food not Tex-​Mex this was a gem to find ! Best sopes and tacos de tripitas I’ve had in Dallas.

The tacos and quesadillas are good but the service is hideous. You know those places you walk into and you just don’t feel like they appreciate your business? If you come here, do take out and don’t get chorizo. For a better experience go to «la banqueta» the food and service is way better.

These are the best tacos we have had in Dallas yet! While the place is small, the flavors are big. We filled ourselves with tacos de huitlacoche and tacos al pastor. We also tried the authentic quesadillas de huitlacoche. No flour tortillas for their quesadillas here. Just authentic corn shells. We highly recommend this place if you are a bit adventurous and want something more than the other Tex Mex that surrounds Dallas.

So my friend and I decided to undertake a «Best Authentic Dallas Metroplex Taco» challenge. After trying very good tacos in Oak Cliff, East Dallas, Oak Lawn, N. Dallas & various other locations, Taqueria Conin beats them all HANDS DOWN. This was based solely on the food, not the customer service otherwise they’d get higher than a 5 Star. Friendly, very laid back but attentive cashiers take your order immediately while cooks overhear the order and immediately start cooking. Space is limited to approximately 6 barstools against a thin wall counter, but no one seems to mind — the food is cooked fast so turnover is almost immediate and a seat will come available. Since you pay for your order at the end (like a traditional restaurant instead of a taqueria), you can feel free to keep adding to your order right from your seat! which we often take advantage of. The food is simple, but pretty amazing. Typical ingredients like onion and cilantro are very finely chopped so they blend well with any meat choice for your meal. We’ve tried just about all the choices on the menu and you can’t go wrong with any of them. Think you’ve had good tacos? You haven’t until you’ve tried these! ;) BTW, prices are extremely reasonably and both cash & cards are welcomed (unlike the previous taco place here).

This place is a whole in the wall place, but don’t be fooled. It has some of the best tacos!!!

Being Mexican, and also living the majority of my life in Chicago which is a great Taco town. I think Taqueria Conin is the best/​most authentic taco in dallas, that ive found thus far.
Their al pastor is top notch, and their red/​green salsa is the best we’ve had in dallas. Watch out on the salsa, spice level varies week by week.

This place is legit. It’s a nice little hole-​in-​the-​wall place nestled in the corner of a gas station. Don’t let the run-​down nature of the area/​building dissuade you; this place is awesome. Real street tacos. Breakfast tacos all day. So good! Don’t skimp on the verde salsa.

Satisfaction guaranteed. You get the Mexico DF flavor here, at least as close as it gets taken you’re in Texas. Go there every chance I get when I’m by the neighborhood. They do to-​go and ready for pick-​up.

Thank God for people who take you out of your comfort zone. I would have never known about this place had it not been for a friend who is more adventurous than me.
Forget the gritty image on the outside, the place was fairly clean on the inside, albeit not exactly pretty… but the Tacos were a thing of beauty! I had two beef tacos, and ordered two more once I was done! They were that good!
