Taco Cabana

In addition to the terrible attitude when I asked a question about the 10 minutes they said I had to wait for fajitas when it’s hard to imagine they had to cook the fajitas instead of having them ready to serve, I ordered ½ pound of «steak» fajitas for $ 13 and got ½ pound of onions with a few fajita strips. I call it an OUTRAGEOUS RIP OFF AND TERRIBLE SERVICE. The menu doesn’t say and I didn’t order nor would I have paid for ½ pound of ONIONS. In fact it doesn’t say onions AT ALL in the deceptive description. The «steak» fajita tacos however don’t have ANY onions at all. I expected the same with the ½ pound of «steak» fajitas, but got ripped off instead. One star is too good for how I got robbed and treated.

Giving this place a one star is generous! Went through drive thru to have food thrown into a paper bag not even wrapped! Was told they didn’t have fajitas which is odd since every item on the menu is offered with fajitas. Then when I asked for a refund they shorted me, guess that was partly my fault for driving off furious without counting the cash. Nevertheless stay clear of this place filled with incompetent people!!!

Long wait at cashier, got my order wrong two ways, all the tables were dirty.

I go to taco cabana mainly for the happy hour margaritas. They are Great. The last 3xs I have gotten food OMG. Nasty can’t even make a taco worth eating. Old tasting tortillas were old cold hard. (ordered soft tacos) just gross. Eat before you go or on your way home its a waste of money to eat at this place. Now the tc in balch springs is great. Food always fresh.

My wife and I have given this location several opportunities, but we’re officially done. It’s close to our house, we wanted to have a good experience and have this be our «go to», quick, mexican-​ish food.
The service was less than stellar. The lady taking orders made me feel like I was wasting her time by asking a few questions. I understand that working at a fast food restaurant is probably not much fun, but it’s not a good idea to take it out on the customers.
The problem for us was the day after the meal, if you know what I mean. The wife had chicken tacos, I had a chicken quesadilla and we split a few flautas. None of those items seemed questionable, at the time, but proved to be bad decisions. We won’t be back to this location and may swear off of the entire chain.
***Update to my misery! This place should be shut down and cleaned from top to bottom. I have had some serious gastrointestinal issues since I made the fatal mistake of eating here. I am certain it’s food poisoning, and likely Ecoli. This is unacceptable. I’m certain I am not the only person that’s been affected by this. It’s been 5 days!!!

Clean restrooms. Nice staff. Good food! The bad reviews sound racist to me. Nice setup.

The people don’t care about what they give you, they don’t listen, they interrupt you while ordering and quick to have attitudes that they have to work there.

Happy Hour Margaritas and Nachos can’t beat the price along with a two for one Flautas special we had dinner for two with Margaritas for less than $ 11!

I don’t even know what I can say about this establishment. Other then Taco cabana dropped and killed a location! The manager clearly does not care how his customers are treated at this location. I had the absolute worst experience in not only the dine in but drive thru as well!!!

I hate to give this location a less-​than-​stellar rating, because when it’s good? It’s reeeeeaaal good. The morning drive-​thru staff is top notch in every way. Ms. Mae will take care of all your requests with a big happy smile on her face and the man who is usually working the window in the morning if Ms. Mae is off (whose name I haven’t got yet) is equally good at the job.
The food that comes out in the morning is fresh, hot, and carefully constructed. And the orders are correct right down to the types of salsa and condiments requested. The morning staff clearly takes pride in a job well done and, obviously, that’s hard to find in the fast food world. If my rating was based only on the breakfast experiences I’ve had here, which are numerous, there would be five bright red stars up there.
…And then there is the post meridian deterioration. To be fair, this Taco Cabana is –extremely busy– pretty much all the time, but especially in the afternoons and evenings. However, something bizarre happens in the transition from the morning crew to the second shift.
Every time I’ve been to this TC for a late lunch or dinner things have been pretty bad. Most tables remain dirty through several sets of people’s meals, the salsa bar is trashed and there is at least one at or near empty bin in the bunch, and literally every time I’ve used the drive-​thru after about 2:00 pm my order has been wrong. Usually they’ve forgotten an item or two, and once I even got an entire box full of just tortilla chips with retried beans farted all over it and no other toppings. This was supposed to be an order of fajita nachos. Wat.
TL;DR — Go to the TC in the morning for a great experience. Avoid at any cost after 2:00 pm unless and until the second shift gets its crap together.

Ghetto staff, poor service and icky food.

Generic Mexican food. I wanted some tacos and enchiladas, so this place was it. The tacos were good but the enchilada was… Can someone please explain to me where did the idea of putting chili on top of an enchilada come from? Is that a Tex-​Mex kind of thing? Well, I’m no fan of this concoction. And not only that, the enchilada was hard. Overall, the employees were very pleasant.

I’ve been here 4 or 5 times and every time I get the Lg. Super nachos. It’s huge and loaded with cheese, bean, and beef. I take it a step further and load it down with salsa, pica de goi, onions, and jalapeños. Their salsa bar has about 5 different salsas and all the other stuff I add to my nachos. Not a bad place for fast food.
