I don’t eat Taco Bell but my son wanted it so we went. Meh…

I came by for a quick on-​the-​go meal in the drive thru — 2 Fiery tacos Fresco style, and a tea. The tea tasted like dirty socks. I used to work in fast food — and that nasty taste in tea comes from one thing and one thing only — the nozzles in the tea dispensers have not been cleaned. Bacteria can build up in there — so that no matter how well you clean the tea reservoir, the tea passes through the dirty nozzles and has the flavor of dirty socks. I was pretty grossed out by the tea. I was in a hurry and didn’t have time to go back and get my money refunded. I don’t drink sodas anymore — but even if I did — I know from my fast food experience, that if they’re not cleaning the tea nozzles, they’re definitely not cleaning the soft drink nozzles — and those things REALLY can get nasty. I ended up tossing the tea. The tacos were good and made to my order specs — but when something simple like the tea nozzles not getting cleaned happens — that tells me poor management and that also tells me other stuff isn’t happening, like employees washing their hands. That was my first and last visit at that location.

Ok so I finally built up enough motivation to try out their new breakfast menu. I like going to this taco bell because the staff here is extremely friendly. I’m going to go down the list on what I ordered.
Breakfast combo #15 the waffle taco with sausage meal. I’ve seen the pictures online and it looked quite delicious, and it’s what my husband wanted to try out. When I first looked at it, I was a little disappointed on how small it was. A waffle serves as the taco and holds one sausage patty, eggs and cheese. I thought it would be bigger but it’s still a good size. First bite wasn’t that impressive, I thought it needed some maple syrup (which is not given with it), while my husband thought it needed salt (seriously?). Hash browns were really good. Bigger than your average McDonald’s, and were crispy too.
Next item I got was the sausage melt. It’s basically a sausage patty with melted cheese inside a flatbread. I got this simple taco for my daughter because she can be very picky when it comes to food and this was the simplest item they had on their menu. Simple yet very delicious! And only $ 1. My daughter seemed to like it too.
For myself, I ordered the AM crunchwrap with steak. I wanted to go with something other than the average eggs and sausage or bacon. The crunchwrap holds a hash brown, eggs, cheese, and steak. I was surprised at how well it held together. I’ve had their lunch version crunchwrap supreme and I usually had to hold it with two hands because it was bending and falling apart on me. But the AM version was actually Saturday and great for on the go! It tasted pretty well too, once I had a bite that had the hash brown, eggs, cheese and steak. Add some taco sauce and it was even better. The flavors really complimented each other in this wrap. I very much recommend it.
Another item I ordered were the cinnamon delights. You have the option to get the 2-​pack, 4-​pack, and 12-​pack. I got the 4-​pack for my family to try. After viewing my husband bite his donut-​hole-​sized delight first (cream cheese icing oozing out and dripping down his chin), I decided to approach mine with caution (small bites). These come very close top tasting just just like a donut hole, but it’s even better because they’re covered in cinnamon and sugar, and are filled with cream cheese icing. So good! Definitely try these out when you get the chance. You won’t regret it.
