I knew I might be in trouble when the boss forced the«let’s try something new» trial one day when we all decided to go out for lunch. Our group of 4 didn’t drive far when Sweet Sue’s came into view, I had seen it many times before but I was skeptical, especially with the lack of cars. So my boss pre-determined that we shall eat there. In a quick and zealous attempt to avoid it, I got my phone and tried looking up the place on Unilocal. At the time there were 0 reviews… :( I’m all for supporting small businesses, so I went in optimistic about it. It’s American-style«comfort» food and there were pictures of entrees all over the main wall where you ordered. Behind the counter was an asian woman who was friendly enough but seemed surprised we were actually going to eat there. I decided on the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes and green beans. Once the food was brought to our table(suspiciously fast I might add) I realized none of it was fresh. I agree with the other reviewer who compared the food that of a high school cafeteria. The CFS was like a cheap, frozen patty you can buy in your grocery store, and the mash potatoes and gravy were obviously from a powder mix. It was not terrible, but nothing what I expected from a place that advertises itself as fresh home-cooking. I will most likely not be coming back, especially with so many great alternatives nearby.

Looks like a down home cooking place from the outside. Even says«everything fresh» and«nothing fried» on the sign out front. YET I had a chicken fried steak. And most meals come with fries. How is that possible if they don’t serve fried food? Nothing is fresh here. Tastes like a high school cafeteria. Gravy for the CFS tasted like it was made from powder. Be warned!
