Sweet 200

Just moved to Oak Cliff and worried I wouldn’t find anyone as good as my stylist in Southlake. Saw Amy Marshall at Sweet 200 today for a cut and highlight. Always scary when you go in for the first time but I am so happy with the results. I knew immediately I was at the right place when she grabbed my hair with confidence and knew just what to do. Her years of experience really made the difference. She actually surpassed my previous stylist. Go see her! You won’t be disappointed!

If Sweet 200 moved to another state, I would fly there to keep my appointment. Every time I leave LOVING my hair again! Not cheap, but neither is a Bentley… and worth it. Annette is amazing, always quick and professional but fun and likely the coolest chic I know.

I had set up an appointment with Cris Hernadez the day of my Prom a couple months ago I had seen her posts on instagram and all the references to her were good once so I decided to give it a shot. I was going for a half up half down doo with a crown braid on top. I asked her Specifically in the beginning not to give me tight curls with the loose hair, but I still ended up with them. Since she was in a hurry to be done with me all she did was brush it through and ended up looking like I had just gotten out of bed. The crown braid was done really messy too since all she did was Bobby pin it down on the side instead of finishing the braid around and hiding it under my hair. She also did my make up which I had shown her a picture of and finished looking like a total different thing. It didn’t match my skin tone at all. At the end I didn’t want to be rude so I paid left and fix what she couldn’t do at home by myself. I regret going here and will definitely not be going back. To any other girls who plan on booking here for prom or homecoming do yourself a favor and go somewhere else because you will be disappointed

I got a hair cut and it was done nicely. So then I decided to go back again to dye my hair. And the work was done nicely as well. The atmosphere was very edgy. But they don’t honor the free styling product like its says on here. They say’s it just something Unilocal does, and they don’t give you nothing.

I saw Ashley Harris today for cut and color correction and left with the best hair I’ve ever had in my life. She managed to take my way over-​processed, multicolored hair to a gorgeous platinum and it somehow feels and looks healthier than ever! She also pulled off a spectacularly precise asymmetrical bob exactly as I had pictured it in my head. I will definitely be back again and again!

I’ve seen Kristina at Sweet 200 several times now, and I have to say I’m very happy. She always gets my color just how I want it no matter how many times I’ve decided to change it. My hair feels and looks great and I get lots of compliments.
The salon is gorgeous; great music and a friendly staff make it a real treat to visit.
Finding a stylist to stay with can be hard, and I have had many different ones over the years, but I think I’m done looking. I’ll stay with Kristina. She’s a badass.

I got «balayage» from Kristin. If you are wanting this done, I suggest you DO NOT get it done by her. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and told her I wanted it very subtle. After 3 hours, I look in the mirror and was appalled! She gave me all over HIGHLIGHTS and it completely changed the color of my hair. Balayage does NOT start at the root, yet she insisted that it does. She is the only one in the studio «trained» on this technique, though she clearly has no idea what balayage actually is. Also, she charged double what I was quoted by the receptionist and what my regular hair stylist at the same studio told me it would cost. The color was also very inconsistent and was splotchy. Wound up having to get a box dye to fix it. So, $ 140 later I’m almost back to my original hair color. Never again will I mess with my hair color thanks to this horrible experience!

I simply LOVE this place! Ashley Harris did my cut and color. I keep my natural red and this is the best it has ever been done! Their prices can’t be beat either. I have found my permanent salon in Dallas after living here for 7 years. Thanks you guys!

Both of my experiences at Sweet 200 were fantastic!
Just moved to the OC a few months ago and was super nervous about finding a hip, but laid back salon near home.
Lacie gave me a great hair cut a month or two ago and rockin’ color last night.
Couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Annette has been cutting my hair for 17 years now. She always makes me look my best. The salon is fun, stylish and clean. They were just awarded best salon by the Observer 2012.

I went in last night to be the model for a haircut class.
I just love this place.
I love its location, so happy to have something so awesome in the OC hood.
Anette has a great vibe to her and is a great teacher from what I saw and I think the student, Stefani will do well once fully trained.
They also have these adorable cupcake bath bombs for sale in there and I got one to try out… they are delightful. I had a wonderful bath.
And I have a good styled hair cute too.
I love how Anette paid attention and knew how to make my current hair look that much better. Thank you. I will definitely keep you in my books for my services.

When I moved to Dallas last fall, the only thing that I was anxious about was finding a new sylist! Upon the advice of a friend whose style and judgement I totally trust, I made an appointment with Sara Hernandez. I am so glad I did!
The salon fits right in to Oak Cliff/​Bishop Arts — cool vibe, laid back and not at all pretentious. Which I love, because I don’t want to feel like I have to get dolled up BEFORE I go to the hair salon!
Sara’s work is amazing — I have (highlighted) long, blonde hair that Sara always finds ways to keep interesting. Everytime I leave the salon, I get tons of compliments on my hair! And best of all, she has great customer repoire. She is super easy to talk to and makes you feel like you are an old friend.

WORST haircut ever.
After growing my hair out for 7 MONTHS I went in with a simple request to cut long layers. After Sarah sabotaged my hair I left with an uneven and unflattering HACK job. I’ve had better cuts at schools and seriously could have cut my own hair better than this!
I specifically told her to not cut my bangs because I wanted to grow them out. Instead she cut my bangs in a million layers and made them impossible to style or fix. Now I will have to grow out my hair for another 6 months and have to use bobby pins to conceal the damage
When I told her that I was unhappy she was uncaring and unprofessional and blamed me for having a bad cut before. It’s clear she doesn’t know what she is doing.
I question a salon that would employ someone so talentless and unprofessional.
