Rockfish Seafood Grill

Ok. This was my first time coming to Rock fish and I was blown away. The food was beyond amazing. Perfectly seasoned seafood, grilled to perfection and right on time. The portions were just right and so was the price. I cannot wait to come back and try other things on the menu.

Great fish and chips. The fish had a nice delicate crunch when I bit into each of the 3 fist sized pieces. Nice tangy slaw on the side, as well. Waitress, I think her name was Robin, was super nice and gave me advice on what to order the next time.

This was senior citizen night at this location and so they got very busy after we were sat. Waitress was nice, but I would have liked to have my drink refilled more than once during my meal, as it had been sitting empty for over 10 minutes. I was offered a to go soda when I paid for my meal so that was nice. Had the fish and chips and they were very good, would order them again. On another occasion I had the sea bass and it was delicious.

Good food served correctly and in a timely fashion.

Not horrible. I wouldn’t go here expecting a home run. It wasn’t horrible but if you have a choice go somewhere else.

This place is pretty good as far as seafood is concerned. I wasn’t necessarily wowed, but for the price it’s a good seafood place to try and the service is good. I would definitely visit again.

I’ve eaten here on several Sundays, and it’s a great quiet dining option. It’s an older crowd, but everyone’s really nice, and the food is delicious, especially the scallops and the daily specials.
I also enjoy that healthy feeling after I eat here.

This really should be 2 separate reviews. If going for fresh crawfish I would give a 4 star… they are fabulous. Recommend you ask for them spicy. The rest of the food has a tendency to be luke warm and not as flavorful. It’s certainly not bad but not great. Now the crawfish, those are great!

Food was good. Mexican shrimp cocktail use to be presented better but still good. Eat at the bar. Nicole is awesome.

Great Sunday afternoon spot for a meal. It’s quiet and food is great and a good happy hour. Robin is the bestest ever!

Came in and was immediately greeted. It wasn’t busy on Wednesday and the hh was right on time. I wish they had hh snacks but the customer service was up to par! I ordered the seafood enchiladas and they were nothing to write home about but the beer was ice cold and the po boy was an excellent replacement. The mgr or maybe (head chef) came and spoke with me and got my food right out. I will be back.

I had the lunch Shrimp Basket, and not only did I get a great amount it was delicious! Very fresh!

Very fresh, relaxing atmosphere, excellent service. They were able to make my dish with out butter when requested.

Everything I tried tasted great. But I couldnt help to feel it didnt blow me away. I had the mango salsa mahi mahi. The snapperfish was good. The crab stuffed flounder as pretty good to. I cant help to feel all the meals were a bit softer than I prefer, but it still got the job done. Price wise its pretty reasonable for seafood. But I feel it could have been better. But dont feel discouraged to eat here.

Had dinner with my husband on a busy Saturday night. The restaurant was pretty crowded so we grabbed two stools at the bar. Nicole was tending bar and made some excellent drinks for us. Service was great. Will be back to see nicole at the bar very soon.

I really love this place. Try the shrimp and grits or the blackened chicken. YUMMY!

Had ahi tuna steak was pretty fresh and sweet.

This location is kind of hidden away in a strip mall, but it’s worth finding. I really like this place and have never ordered something I didn’t enjoy. They give you good portions as well.
For this specific visit, we ordered the spinach dip as an appetizer and it was delish. I was SO hungry, so that helped.
My main course was the crab & artichoke stuffed salmon with asparagus. It was amazing! I am definitely a salmon and crab and artichoke and asparagus fan. Make sure that you not only look at the main menu, but also look at the board they have because it includes different offerings not included on the menu (this is where my salmon was listed).
Dessert was bread pudding with bourbon sauce. You can defintely taste taht bourbon in it! It threw me off guard a little bit, but it was good. It won’t get you drunk or anything, but the taste it obviously there.
The atmosphere is very laid-​back and super casual. This would be a good place for a friend-​meetup or a good place for a family meal.

I’ve been going to Rockfish since they opened. Going to this location kinda hurts the heart a lot though… I used to manage a former restaurant where this restaurant is currently standing called «Mainstream Fishhouse». So when I go into this location, a flood of memories comes through the as I sit and eat my lunch at the Rockfish bar.
From a Rockfish perspective, this visit wasn’t that great. I sat at the bar for over 10 minutes waiting for the bartender to come up to the bar and take my order. 10 minutes. I had a blackened shrimp poboy and a bowl of chowder. Both dishes were excellent. as usual. While signing my check, I quickly looked at my bill and noticed my «tea» had a charge of 2.95 on it. WOW. 2.95 for a glass of tea… while I totally understand that restaurants love to make money off of their beverages, I think 2.95 is a bit much. I love how Beverage prices aren’t listed on the menu… I like Rockfish, but I think this is my last visit for awhile. I hate feeling ripped off on something like tea. 15 dollar check. at lunch. just to much to be consistant.

It’s actually more than 3 stars, about 3.5; couldn’t justify 4 as this was my first visit; and certainly won’t be my last.
After a brief shopping spree in the area, I was headed home down Preston Rd and spotted RSG out of the corner of my eye. Made a quick left and pulled into the parking lot. I arrived after the lunch crowd so it wasn’t packed, but still several tables occupied around 1530 on a weekday. I really liked the ambiance of this spot upon walking in; kinda felt like I was in a hunting lodge, lots of light shiny woods abound. I decided on a seat at the nice bar; with comfy bar stools to boot.
Drake was right there as I sat down; offered a friendly welcome and greeting. Ordered a TS Margarita (with Grand Marnier of course) and did he ever deliver! My oh my, what a lovely smooth delicious concoction, with that bright golden color so necessary to make it a REAL top shelf. :) And reasonably priced @ $ 7.50 for a nice pour.
Only wanted a light lunch so opted for the crab cake appetizer. And it was plenty for this tummy. The two nice sized cakes were very moist, no hint of excess breading included, lightly sauteed with a hint of onion, and with lots of chunks of lump crab. Absolutely scrumalicious with both the remoulade and spicy red sauce. I hit a home run with my selection today. It will be a definite repeat on future visits.
Their menu is quite extensive; many more things I wish to try; several «specials of the day» that looked mighty appealing. Didn’t even know about this location, so glad I discovered it, rather than having to go to Irving for a casual seafood fix.
Another place to add to my go-​back-​again-​soon list. :)
