Lot of fun with a good dj. The food food and clever paintings are in the bathroom hallway. If you are near downtown and want to party and have a snack. Come here. The hotel has an awesome pool too.

PM is certainly a hidden gem, situated in the underground of the neo-gothic revival hotel, The Joule(a luxury collection hotel by SPG). Swanky and chic, this place is a must visit.

very nice posh spot downtown Dallas – really enjoyed the décor. for the most part — this place is always packed, which is a good thing. but not if you are trying to mingle or get your groove on … very body to body… i do recommend table/bottle service, just to decrease fighting the crowds at the bar… really enjoyed the actual crowd in general… careful about getting in. and not having a table or being on the guest list… – groups of 2 – 3 ladies shouldn’t have a problem. but anything larger without reservations or bottle service. good luck!

I tried out this spot for the first time with group of about 10 friends last weekend. We did the whole nine– bottle service, VIP seating, all that jazz. From what I can remember(which is a a good sign), it was fun! The place is lovely and gives an upscale feel. You feel kinda classy, but not so classy that you can’t still get down on da flo’. The décor is impressive, modern, and colorful. A nice crowd and great music make all the difference. PM Lounge’s Saturday night DJ was all awesome! We laughed, we cried, we fist pumped. The music was on point and the crowd was a good mix of attractive people. My only complaint is the how packed it was. No one likes an empty club, but it is quite difficult to get your dance on when you are booty to booty with folks. Bottle service/VIP is the way to go with large groups. You will end up saving money and still have your own area to dance and socialize. It is a little overpriced for my usual taste, but I definitely recommend this spot for a night you are trying to go big or go home.

I admit… I am a huge club snob. Dallas clubs have been a disappointment. A club by definition has always been a place where you dress up(no jeans!!!)…get bottle service… and to go to the bathroom only for someone to open up their bathroom stall and offer you a line of coke. They play techno and not hip hop. I like all kinds of music and I dont condone recreational drug use… but thats how clubs are suppose to be or what I am accustom to. So for a friend’s birthday… i thought I would give the Dallas club scene one more shot. I was expecting a douchey night out… not exactly! It was just right. So we get to the door at PM… my friend reserved a table and were escorted down underground to our table. The décor was trendy and cute. We got our table and there was a cold ass bottle of Patron waiting for us. We all took our shots and started to dance. This place doesnt have a designated dance floor… you just kind of dance where ever. No techno… but just top 40 and hip hop remixes. What got to me is that they played a Kid Cudi remix and they all stopped dancing… like right on the dance floor. Apparently Dallassites dont know great music if it slapped them on the ass. They sure as hell started dancing to some ghetto fab… very sexually suggestive hip hop. I bet they dont know the lyrics… but they are dancing like its the coolest song ever because they love the beat. I am like honey… do you know what they are saying in that song? You wouldnt be dancing like that if you knew! The lights in the lounge were cool… and the bathrooms were clean with white cloths instead of paper towels. Lots of mirrors… so you can take your facebook pics with your camera phone. The drink prices are about average for a club… I paid about 10 for a vodka tonic… no special booze… just plain well vodka. The staff was great… not pushy to buy another 400 bottle to keep our table… etc. My friend Bollyjuice had a great time… and so did I. Now I am disappointed that no one offered me a line in the bathroom(just kidding)…but I am giving this place 4 stars because it was not ghetto… people did dress up… no one was wearing jeans… and all and all… just a good place to chill and have a a good time. *For the guys… this place had a lot of girls… more so than guys. Need some more guys to come for us single ladies ;-).

I love PM. It is gorgeous inside and cool without trying to be cool. The bartenders, wait staff and bouncers are VERY professional, VERY well-dressed and surprisingly friendly. They don’t have this douchebag Dallas attitude that their club is ultra-exclusive and that nobody matters but the people with bottle service. Yes, the club is very exclusive and top notch, but they don’t give you an attitude like these other stupid bars around here who act as if they are ultra VIP when they really just suck. PM doesn’t have to try too hard, because it is just a cool place to begin with. They even let you sit at reserved tables when the party isn’t there yet. And yes, even guys. All in all, this is just a great lounge to sip cocktails while enjoying their beautiful, velvet couches and listening to fun music then transitioning to the dance scene. Or, you can just lounge the whole time. EIther way, it’s a good spot for both options and I have never had a bad or sketchy experience with PM. Top notch and always classy.

I was impressed with the whole operation at PM. I’ve been to PM a few times and don’t hesitate to say that for my money, there isn’t a better club in Dallas. As far as I’m concerned, service is the most important factor in rating a night club. I don’t want to go unless I’m VIP because I don’t drink or dance. If you demand VIP treatment, PM is the place for you. For the first time with a night club, my expectations were surpassed in every way. You’ll notice how smooth the operation is at the valet line and through the front door all the way down a posh staircase to the bartenders sporting ascots. The décor is a fusion of luxury and hipster flare. Everything about PM is super cool and when you visit you’ll feel the same way.

Very empty on two separate occasions, Friday and Saturday. Can’t complain too much since there was no cover as a result. Plus, Donna over there is really cool. Overall, it’s a great place for a small group to drink martinis over decent music in a pretty décor.

There is not a large designated dance floor in the middle and it really does not look like a dance club, especially when the night is rather early. But as the night gets darker, the cool laser light gets going and more people start dancing. The space itself, or the dance floor, is not as large as Cameo or Plush, but is still pretty cool. If not everyone in the group like to dance much, this is a better place than Cameo or Plush. People watching is easier and there is ample space to sit and enjoy the drinks.

one of the best nightclub i’ve been to here in DFW. We were turned down by Cameo(who our other group of 15 was already inside with 2 bottles bought already) because apparently we were 15 asians too many; who was willing to buy 4 bottles just to get in… hmmmmm… I guess we will take our $ 1000 elsewhere… and that’s exactly what we did, we jotted down to PM(Joule) and the door guy was gladly to take us in. From the moment the door was open, it was 5 stars service from there. We were walked down by one of the bouncer, escorted to our tables, and the waitress was there waiting on us. We couldn’t have asked for any better services unless you are at the Ritz. We ended up spending $ 1800 and we were glad to fork it out too. The music was mostly hip hop with some light mixes of your fav 90s rap, 2pac, biggie, bone thugz, etc… It was awesome!!! I will def be thinking about this place comes August for a very special occasion.

My first time at PM was after a long evening at the Ritz. Some fellas we were talking to the whole night invited us to come with them. We obliged after doing the prerequisite GOOGLE background check, and were whisked away in a bevy of BMWs and a Maseratti to PM. They had a table so we walked past the incredibly long line(Saturday night, 12ish) down the dark but beautiful stairway to the small ultra lounge. I was pretty lit, but even through my Rickey Goggles I noticed that PM is very chic and nice and small but not crowded. I did get lost going to the bathroom(VERY cool art on walls) but a cute boy helped me find my way so I was alright. Awesome music, dance, a lot of trance, oldie and top40/hip hop mashes with the hip hop being very little. I am not sure who the DJ was but DAMN he was awesome! Since that night I have been a few more times, some with bottle service, some without. Love it because the other girls were cool. I notice this is a huge problem in Dallas, really un-fun/defensive females(even in NYC girls are nicer when you go out) But, not at PM, I always make fun friends and dance buddies there. I always have a blast there, it is just a really cool spot. If you love to dance and meet interesting peeps PM is for you.

My wife and I are from California. I don’t say that bragging, I say that because the atmosphere is different in clubs in California. PM’s was so much like California, I didn’t feel like anyone tried to force their coolness, they were just actually cool. Drinks are a little pricey, but I’m no so concerned with the price of drinks if the club is fun. I can’t wait to go back.

PM Lounge is MUCH nicer than the places I normally frequent but since it was my & a friend’s bday this weekend a bunch of us went and it was quite a treat! Décor was fabulous for sure. As everyone else has described, you descend the stairs into a very intimate area with luxe fabric on the chairs, drapery, etc, gorgeous chandeliers, a small stage, and an area perfectly sized for dancing. There are even illuminated crystal formations along the staircase that sparkle like diamonds. So YES, it appeals to the ladies :) We purposely tried to get there somewhat early(think we got there around 10ish) because we had tried once before much later on a Saturday night and were turned away. We didn’t have any issues getting in but the bouncer warned us our friends trying to join us later might have a problem getting in because they were sold out for a private celebrity party. I have to admit, I thought«sure, whatever, you’re just trying to sound exclusive» but it turned out Lil Jon was partying there… not sure if that makes it more or less awesome, haha. The guys who got there afterward did have to slip the guy 20 bucks each but I had figured there might be a cover anyway so it wasn’t TOO bad. We are cheapskates(well…not balla enough for $ 1400 tables anyway) so we didn’t get bottle service or anything, but one of the hostesses was nice and said we could stay in the reserved area until the other party arrived… which didn’t end up being until midnight anyway and by that time we were on the dance floor, so it didn’t matter. It was obviously slow when we got there because it was early but by the end of the night it was crowded but not packed, and the music was great. Too bad we apparently left like 10 minutes before Lil Jon came out, that would have been pretty hilarious. Luckily the other bday girl got to meet him though – but apparently the words«what» «yeah» or «ok» were not part of the conversation :(

I’m originally from Dallas but now live in Los Angeles. I came back into town this past weekend after a 4 year absence for my cousin’s wedding. I met up with a friend who showed me the current Dallas nightlife. We started the night at the Ritz then off to Dragonfly and ended the night here at PM. My friend is a regular at all these places so we walked right in and got service immediately. I noticed that all these lounges have a Vegas vibe and L.A. feel which is vastly different from 4 years ago. However, the prices for drinks are not LA prices which was nice. The music playing was hip hop on the night I went and it was a good mix. Then place wasn’t too crowded but crowded enough that there was definitely a party going on. There’s a back hallway that takes you away from the crowd and easily maneuvers you toward the bar. There’s also chairs there where you can chill and do some good people watching. I have to say. it was refreshing to go out in Dallas. The guys are tall and the girls are pretty — dare I say both are better looking than the party crowd in Los Angeles. Next time I return to my home state and city, I plan to make another stop here to end the evening.

Another nice lounge with velvet rope access. Get bottle service or get on a list… Door is open next to/in the Joule hotel. Once you’re out you might get confused since front door then disappears right into the stone wall… If you’re doing valet, it gets really hectic at the end of the night… Fun place & good music. Saw some crazy action the night we were there but it was handled by the bouncers/management. Night ended earlier than planned but didn’t ruin our good time.

Boy do I love this swanky spot! PM has their game on tight from the moment you walk in. The stairs take you into a spiralling mystic. As what was faint sounds of music get louder the scene unvails itself. It wasn’t crowded at all, which makes it the perfect lounge! You must check out this ultra savvy lounge!

I guess I should consider myself a lucky one. I discovered this hidden gem in its infancy. The underground lounge resides along the boutique Hotel Joule in downtown on Main St. Past the nondescript velvet roped entrance you enter what I would describe a posh rendition of a 20’s speak easy. An eclectic collection of red, gold, and blue velvet furnishings line the walls and are reserved for bottle service and 5 bar height tables line the center. The hostess has always been a pleasure and attractive men dressed in dark jeans, white shirts, grey vests, and garters on their arms pour fantastic drinks — watch out they pack a punch, but my boozing ways wouldn’t have it any other way. The ambiance definitely conjures the urge to order up a pre-prohibition era inspired cocktail, Manhattan anyone? PM doesn’t start packing out until about 11 or so on the weekends. Friday is the night to go. Members of a local dance troupe put on a phenomenal burlesque show every hour on the hour. These ladies even capture my attention with their sexy, yet tasteful performances played out on an elevated stage, and anchored by a red leather fainting couch. If you’re going to splurge on the bottle service PM is the place to do it, your guests will not be disappointed. My only criticism as of late is the recent addition of promoters and their infamous ‘lists’ mainly of their college age ‘friends’. I find promoters bring in the pretentious college crowd that can’t seem to handle their liquor ie Ghost Baresque… ew! Case in point, the last time I had clients for bottle service and a fight broke out between two young beauty queens and their baby faced boyfriends. I was a little embarrassed in front of my guests but I’m willing to write it off as a fluke. I only hope management realizes the error in their ways and sends the children back to their playground, at least until they become independently successful. Otherwise the clientele consists of young professionals, dressed up and looking for good music, good drinks, and a lot of fun. Provided they keep it a place for young professionals to lay down their hard earned cash for a fun night out, PM has my vote as one of the best lounges in Dallas.

Without a doubt, PM Lounge is one of the more tastefully decorated lounges in Dallas. Perhaps because of its location by the Joule Hotel and Charlie Palmer’s, the owners invested in the finer touches. The only miss is the raised tables and seats at opposite ends of the floor that block the flow of party goers in and around the floor. Oh and perhaps a couple more seats? The subterranean lounge is accessed via a velvet rope, but at around 11pm entry wasn’t a problem. Even when we left closer to 1am line was 3 – 4 deep. Maybe we went on an off night, but the music was a disappointment. Saturday nights are celebrity DJ nights, but the DJ was spinning techno house beats all night long, none of which were all that great either. After countless songs pumping our fists mindlessly to the techno beat, we decided to bounce. When only a handful of people are dancing to the music after midnight, it’s a clue that you should change the music. Clientele skewed older — over 30, heck even over 50 at times — and not a very diverse crowd. We saw the booth for the burlesque dancer, but didn’t see anyone perform while we were there. So overall, experience wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t what we had hoped it would be based on the other reviews.

PM Lounge is definitely a place you need to go to if you haven’t stopped by yet. As soon as you walk in the ginormous wall sized door, you can see the detail put into decorating. I’d recommend this place to everyone I know, and have already! If you can get the thought of an ex Dallas Cowboys player getting arrested there for beating up his body guard, you’ll be good to go… haha. They play great music with a good mix of all types of music from new to old. The burlesque dancers are a cool addition, but I’ve only seen them up there one time. The staff is really helpful and I haven’t had a bad experience here as of yet. The drinks are a little pricey, but its expected at a place like this. I was there again last Saturday night. My date and I went up to have a smoke on the street and left our full drinks on the inside table by the door(where they tell you to leave them), but when we returned, they were gone! I was a little pissed, so I told the bar tender down stairs and he had no problem whatsoever replacing them. I made it clear that I wasn’t a winey freeloader, but probably wouldn’t have mattered if I was, he was super nice about the ordeal and immediately replaced. He introduced himself to us and asked us our names, and carried on a short convo. This doesn’t happen to me all that often at any bars I go to, so I was a bit surprised. It can be a bit of a pain to get in sometimes when they have sold all of their tables, but you can usually swing the door guys into getting you in. If you get there early you are more likely to get in with no issues. PM is one of the few downtown lounges that I am willing to go to these days. If you are going to be doing the Main St. scene with Dolce, Obar, PM, Mantus, Plush, etc, I’d skip all the others and make sure you make it to PM!!! The only thing that could make it a 5 star is more affordable drinks…

We totally agree with Kristen’s statement that PM kicks Ghost Bar in the shorts(my words). On a Saturday night, the velvet rope is definitely a gauntlet but it’s worth SWINGING a way in. My perspective is tempered with the fact that I’ve been in coastal big cities for the last few years so this was a huge and unexpectedly cool surprise. The rope-guard’s discriminating eye and the small size of the venue make it crammed with the kind of people you don’t mind rubbing up against. And there was plenty of rubbing! Being of «open mind and like body», I am one to notice that kind of thing and be happy it’s going on. Clearly there were more than a few three– and four– and more-somes priming themselves for an afterparty. [apologies to the management if this isn’t where you’re trying to take your club] Meanwhile, back at the review… The no smoking rule was icing on a delicious and sumptuous cake. Refined and edgy, the décor’ is unconventional and a step outside of most of the Dallas comfort zone(another plus if you’ve New Yorked enough). Snooty door girl and stuffed shirt dance-floor manager(apparently he was trained at a Catholic high school dance chaperone academy) aside, the people running things at PM clearly know what they’re doing. Oh, and the people… The door dude is on his game(he went to a much better training academy) and is definitely letting in the ‘in’ crowd. Without slacking too much, he let in a couple of the Mesquite-ish bimbos but probably because they were hot enough. Chock full of 20 – 40 somethings and nearly everybody was right for the spot(OK, there were a few WTFs too). Major kudos for keeping it tight(not to be confused with the über-trite«classy» crowd). Ok, enough stroking of Team PM. If you are wiling to wait and don’t mind paying for drinks(good but pricey) plus have the right wardrobe and a spare $ 20 for The Man, get your ass out there. Oh, if you bring the right friends with you, the atmosphere definitely has a little bit of the naughty side there for the taking(as long as you avoid Lurch).
