Truly an upscale, elite restaurant that offered a great dining experience. Upscale/trendy décor with an outstanding menu. The steak was incredible, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The sides were equally as good. Every offering was far above average. It was quite evident that the highly-skilled chefs here had prepared our meal using fresh food and had prepared it with expert culinary skill. I would highly recommend, and hope that it is not closed as some have reported.

Wow. Why haven’t I been here before? I pass this place all the time and decided to try it out for Fathers Day dinner after looking at the menu online. Everything was amazing! Even on a Saturday the service was professional, friendly and more than happy to answer every question my less than food savvy father had to ask. Portions were great. The ambiance was so serene and modern. I can’t wait to go back with friends and try the variety of unique cocktails!

One of the best steaks I’ve ever had! The happy hour has half price glasses of wine with good deals on appetizers and beer. I ordered calamari which was the best I’ve had, and my steak was cooked to perfection. I ordered the 8oz filet and it was very thick. The person I was with had salmon which was also cooked very well. The ambiance is very enjoyable and I would come here again. Also, to Gables Villa Rosa residents, happy hour prices in the bar and patio, all day, any day.

I recently held my sister’s bridal brunch in the private room. Everything from the pre-planning with Matt & Alice to the waitstaff service and day of coordinator, Karrie, was perfect. The Place at Perry’s crew made it so easy for this nervous Maid of Honor! The guests raved about the food and venue. Most importantly, the Bride won’t shut up about how perfect her shower was… Happy Bride, Happy Maid of Honor. I couldn’t have done this without Place at Perry’s!

Food: excellent. Have not had an average item from the menu. Steak is a must buy branching out is encourages occasionally. Drinks: Great wine lists and the mixed drinks I hear are very good. Décor: upscale and a little dark. Live music on some Friday nights. Service: outstanding and knowledgable. The chef even came out to our table the last time to check how our meals were. Location: attached to the Villa Gables Apartment Complex. Parking other than valet is tight. Price: expensive.

Food was just OK, service was rushed even though the restaurant was empty. Expensive for quality of food. Once was definitely enough.

I am torn writing this review. I took my wife there for a good steak and we received an excellent steak. We both had the 14oz ribeye which was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The service was nice and the server was helpful but there were too many negatives to not warrant a higher rating. My wife and I love stuffed mushroom so we ordered some for an appetizer. They lacked any sort flavor and we were very disappointed. For the two sides we had asparagus and bacon mac and cheese. The sides are served family style so they can be easily split and there is a generous portion. The asparagus was good but the bacon mac and cheese tasted like something out of a box you buy from Walmart. This may sound nit picky but the bread they serve is horrible. It was tasteless, stale, and chewy. I really wish I could have given a higher rating because I loved their steak.

I’ve never been to Place at Perry’s for anything other than Happy Hour, so that is what I’m basing this review off of. I live in the building Place at Perry’s is located under, and one of the resident perks is getting Happy Hour pricing all day every day. Wine is half off by the glass, and there are two draft beers on tap for $ 3. One of which is Lakewood Temptress, which is my husband’s go to drink. Appetizers are $ 9/plate, and from what I’ve seen the chicken strips and fries are definitely the most bang for your buck. There’s plenty for 2 people to split and they come with multiple dressings(gravy, ketchup, BBQ sauce, ranch). I’ve also had the two beef sliders and while good, they were pretty plain and not super filling. I haven’t tried them yet but next on my list are the dumplings. Service is always quick, polite, and accommodating. This is definitely a go-to spot for a late night drink or quick drink before dinner.

Of course I ordered the Pork Chop! Holy Wow it was a lot of food and the meat just falls off the bone. Mac and cheese was to die for! I ended up taking home a lot of it. If you are a fan of pork chops, this is the place for you!

My friends had their engagement party here and they had variety of appetizers that they served us. We had sliders, bbq shrimp, tuna tartar, stuffed mushrooms just to name a few. Everything I had was delicious! The ambience, staff, food definitely deserve a 5 star! I thought it was a spin off of Perry’s steakhouse but the bartender told me it’s actually family owned. I know I will definitely come back again for dinner soon I loved the food and the décor!

Went here to celebrate a special occasion with my girlfriend. When you first walk in, you will notice that this place is very well decorated. Some of the fine steak restaurants in Dallas are very old-school when it comes to their decoration, so it was refreshing to walk into a place with some color. As with any nice steakhouse, the service was exceptional. IMHO, I thought my server was working a little too hard for his tip, but we still received great service. I will say for a Saturday night, the place was not that full, but don’t be alarmed, the food is still good. Ordered the filet medium rare, and it was cooked very well. Not the best I’ve had, but in the top 5. To go with our steaks, we ordered a cesar salad and some sides. Note that the sides, along with the salad, can feed at least 2 people. The cesar was top notch, our asparagus was good not great, and our mac and cheese was pretty good(hard to mess up). Overall, steak gets 5 stars, but the sides get 4. One thing I was disappointed with was the amount of options. While the list of sides had everything you need at a steakhouse(creamed spinach, potatoes, asparagus, etc.), I would have liked to have seen more options or something more exotic. The wine list is definitely not on par with the competition either. When you think about how exhaustive the wine list is at places like Perry’s, Pappas Steakhouse, Nick and Sam’s, etc, this place only carries a fraction of the amount that the other places carry. That being said, the wines that they do have are still good. There is a lot of competition in the area for fine steak houses, but this is definitely worth trying. Looking forward to trying this place out for happy hour since those who live in the Villa Rosa receive a discount.

Came during Restaurant Week 2014. I’ve never been before as well. That out of the way, we had a great dinner here. I had the tomato bisque as my appetizer — great flavor and very filling. It was rich and smooth without being too tomato-y. I was afraid it would just taste like tomato sauce but it was far from it. For the main course, I enjoyed the ribeye steak with mashed potatoes. First off, it’s HUGE. So right off the bat, I went ahead and split my food in two on the plate, knowing that I could get another meal out of the leftovers. The steak was delicious, although I must say that I ordered it cooked medium and while the center-most part was medium, the outer pieces were nearly well-done. I’m sure I could have sent it back but I was hungry and I was a good steak nonetheless. Finally for dessert, I enjoyed a chocolate cake with chocolate crisps on top. I was heavenly. Really rich. I took the rest home and enjoyed it another time with a little ice cream on the side. All in all, it was a great spot. The music was modern — a little loud but not too much. The servers were all attentive and prompt and the décor was updated. I would recommend this spot for a great date night or even for a celebratory dinner spot.

I absolutely love their goat cheese ravioli, and their tomato artichoke bisque soup. I also love their house salad. Their steak however is good, but not the best. The service is great though.

PATIOHAPPYHOUR Chicken strips w/fresh gravy and truffle fries 5⁄5(best chicken strips ever) Filet Sliders 5⁄5(steak melts in your mouth) Ahi Tuna Cones 3⁄5(too much sesame oil) Cilantro Steak Bites 2⁄5(weird, do not recommend) Cocktails 4⁄5(great but –1 pt for being over-priced) Atmosphere 4⁄5(–1 pt for old conservative people everywhere. lol) Service 5⁄5 Overall I enjoyed the experience but this place is so high priced it’s ONLY worth the value at Happy Hour, otherwise do not come here unless you have money to waste.

Oh how I love this place. For starters they have complimentary valet. That’s a rarity in uptown. The ambiance is very lively without being overbearing. Its vibrant with all the red accents against the white walls and giant windows. I honestly felt like there couldn’t be a bad seat in the house. My favorite spot is the booths to the left of the bar by the huge windows. The food is wonderful. The beef carpaccio starter is great! Its drizzled with truffle oil, black salt and comes with avocado and arugula. The Island Muscles were also just as great. They came in a garlic white wine sauce. Light but so flavorful! For the main course I always get the 8oz filet. They cook it perfectly! I like my steaks near close to mooing still, and the waiter doesn’t ever hesitate at my request. For sides this last time we ordered the sautéed mushrooms, crispy brussel sprouts, and creamed spinach. All were wonderful! The perfect addition to my steak. Unfortunately I was too stuffed for dessert so I made another glass of wine my dessert. They have a wonderful wine list available. They had an eye catching cocktail list but Im more of a wine-o so I stuck with my red for the night. This is definitely a great place to go for a celebration, date, or anything of the sort. The food is great, the service is great, and the atmosphere is wonderful.

We ventured out to Place at Perry’s again for Brunch this time and the food was still awesome. Our waiter Martinez Martinez was very curtious and funny. Food Ordered Crab Eggs Benedict — soooo good the cakes were so flavorful best I have had. Side of grits– The texture of the grits are so creamy and just make you smile. I love how the added in the corn and peppers to give it a twist. Not your gamgams grits. Applewood Bacon– overcooked nothing great Chicken and waffles– wonderful. The waffles were just the right crispness. They were sweet and melt in your mouth good. The chicken was breaded just right and was juicy but not too juicy. The syrup topped off the party in my mouth. They didn’t have to dress up the dish with different types of garnishments because it was good in its own entirety. Brunch Mimosas only $ 3 bones. Sweet!!! We got apple pie togo and it was really good. They are known for it and we had to tear into it on the way home. Yummy! This place is now our favorite place and we will be back many times in the near future!!!

Perry’s moved just down the street. In the process it morphed from classic dining establishment to a more trendy«lighter» version of itself. That’s okay. Instead of dark room with white table cloths and an older established set, you now get bright white vaulted ceilings with cherry red sculptures and pretty uptown girls. Affordable brunch menu with good mimosa specials. Pork chop special all day Friday. And don’t forget — it’s a steak house.

This review is only for their brunch on Sundays. We booked a table through Open Table which required a credit card guarantee. We walked in around noon and it wasn’t crowded at all. We had a party of 5 and the restaurant gave us the middle booth up the steps which we loved. I think it can fit up to 6 people very comfortably. So be sure to ask for booth seating if you want to experience something different. Basically the middle booth gives you a very nice view of the whole restaurant. You feel like royalty when you are sitting there and looking down at the restaurant. I love the high ceiling and the modern décor of the whole place. The service was excellent and friendly. They gave everyone a cheese and jalapeños biscuit to start. Everyone in our group got either the crab cake benedict or the chicken and waffles because it came highly recommended from our waitress. None of us was disappointed at all. The portion of chicken and waffle was actually quite large compared to the crab cake benedict. So if you want something larger, then the chicken and waffle might be for you. We also had the $ 3 Mimosa which I thought was just ok. Nothing spectacular!

Located inside the Gables Villa Rosa, Place at Perry’s has an electric ambiance and polished décor. Party of 4(2 couples) Starters: The hubs and I got the Stuffed Mushrooms($ 11), which included 4 sizable mushrooms stuffed with italian sausage, mascarpone, & gorgonzola. I could have kept eating these and made it my meal, but I wanted to see what else they could do. The table also had an order of muscles, which was a very large bowl and they were well received. Wine: Our first pick was sold out, bummer; it’s their #1 seller. But our 2nd pick was a delicious robust red Malbec. We ordered another bottle of the same. Dinner: Hubs — 14 oz. Pork Chop. It was a nice thick cut of pork, just as thick as it was wide, bone-in. Perfectly seared and full of flavor. Served with whipped potatoes rounded this out perfectly. Too much to finish. Me — George Bank Scallops Suff & Turf: served with Niman Ranch Beef Dumplings, Brussels Sprout Leaves, and Black Sesame«Paint». The«paint» was a flavorful smear that dressed up the plate and complimented the dish very well. The brussel sprout leaves were deliciously seasoned with the right about of crunch; I’ll have to learn to make these at home! It came with 2 large bay scallops and 3 dumplings. I thought it could have used one more of each for the dish, especially for $ 32. Absolutely delicious and well presented dish, just skimpy(especially when compared to their other dishes). Server: Preston«like the road» was excellent. He was friendly but not interruptive; attentive but not pushy. He was efficient. Other notes: They served cucumber water and kept our glasses filled, even after the bill came. The restroom included those extra touches, such as mouthwash, which I always appreciate. The chef came through the dining room and checked on all of the diners. Seems that it gets busy a little later in the evening. We had a 7pm reservation but it didn’t start to pick up until after 8. Good to know. We agreed to go back for the baked potatoes and dessert(Billy Bob’s sounds delish)!

Dinner: We love their food so much, we chose it for our rehearsal dinner. I’ve never had food that good on such a large scale. Would highly recommend Place At Perry’s for any special event or large group. Brunch: The Belgian waffle and the California Benedict were fabulous. The Belgian waffle is heaping with pieces of fresh fruit– strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. The California benedict was spicier than I expected, which was a nice surprise for those that like spicy food. Atmosphere: Wow! Super high ceilings with a beautiful spiral glass sculpture hanging down above the tables. The ceiling high windows and white leather furniture nicely contrast the otherwise«club-like» atmosphere. — We went right at opening(11am sat.) and given how awesome the food was I couldnt believe there werent more people there. It was great to have a break from the super packed Dallas brunch scene. The quiet, bright, airy atmosphere made this such a peaceful place to have brunch. Service: great! Parking: Valet or self street park
