O’riley’s Billiards Food & Bar

This place is good for drinks and good bartenders, but absolutely terrible for everything else. A $ 100^th cover charge? For what? They don’t even have computers ! The floor is stained to high heavens with only God knows what and the food is atrocious. The «queso» is literally ball park nacho cheese sauce. The «sliders» are frozen white castle minis. Not even worth the cheap price. I’m surprised they served their drinks in glasses rather than red solo cups. This place should have been shut down by the health department long ago, no wonder it was so empty.

This place sucks. It is dirty dirty dirty.
Not even good for people watching. Avoid it like the plague… because you could catch the plague here.
I was here a week ago and still don’t think I have gotten all the grime off.

What can I say about this place besides they don’t sell auto parts… If you come here long enough it’s like a second home. I started coming here in Feb 2001 and have been coming back since. If you need a spot to chill for a few hours, then this is your spot. Live bands on the weekends are usually pretty good, but give this place a chance, and you might find yourself writing a review 10 years later saying its the spot, which it is!
Did I mention they open at 7:00am!!!

Great place! I have been coming here for years and they go through some format changes occasionally, but the drinks are always reasonably priced and the acoustics are still great. It’s a little dive bar which I love, but they actually get some great talent playing in there! The bands are now being booked by a new booking agent and they’re doing a great job! Thanks Dan and Aulora! I will be coming here much more often now that I know I can expect great caliber talent to be playing!
Oh, I almost forgot — I love this place because no matter what age group you fall into, you are always welcome. Unfortunately some of the bars in Deep Ellum and the such tend to be a little rude to people any older than 20-​something. The owner of O’Riley’s is ALWAYS exceptional! Well run place!

Excellent place to see live local bands! Great cover bands and original artists play here on the weekend. Haven’t tried the bar food but I hear it’s just that… bar food. Drinks are very decently priced.
Picture a hole in the wall bar with great acoustics and pool tables. You get O’Riley’s as the result. I strongly suggest you check out Chin’s Mojo. They are an awesome band!

I did not even know this place was here. It’s really hid behind some other buildings. Live music, drinks, food, billiards in a dive bar atmosphere. Two super large screens to watch sports on. It’s not super, but it’s okay.
On a side note I went here to see School of Rock have their end of year shindig. If you’re not familiar with School of Rock, other than the Jack Black movie, it’s a school for young musicians who have a talent for rock music. The kiddos are put in a variety of bands and belt out 70’s metal, 80’s metal and assorted standards. The kids have talent for sure.
However, it felt really really weird taking my 14 year-​old into a bar, even if it is labeled «Food & Bar.» Not sure it’s the right environment for her and I to be together. If she’s in a bar at 14, where’s she gonna be when she’s 19. I’m just saying…

Fun place to chill.
they have live music quite often… and a good sound system.
I like to relax and play pool w/​friends on occasion and this is one of my favorite places!!!
