Excellent quality mouth watering food with affordable prices. Would definitely recommend trying the fajita chimichanga… some delicious with juicy yet tender meat. Can’t wait for my next trip to Dallas.

I went here for lunch recently. I was very disappointed in the service… extremely slow. The food was just meh.

I’ve been coming here for years and I can’t say tradition wins me over quality. Service is great and definitely loyal to the regulars. Margaritas are good but don’t expect a full service bar — no martinis or creative mixology. Puff tacos are enough for one and portions of protein are generous. I personally like the enchiladas, but the salsa that’s served with chips are not my style; too much texture, too hot and has too much of an Old El Paso appearance :[ Just not my thing; however, they do have a gringo salsa for those who do not want as much heat. I guess I’m just not that much of a fan after witnessing a rat running across the wood beams in the ceiling, scooped into a cone by a fellow worker and quickly carried through the kitchen toward its final destination. Pretty certain someone has remnants of this creature and its siblings in their meal — somewhere!!!

Best Cheese Enchiladas in all of Dallas! And I’ve had my share all over. I have a favorite everything at places all over Dallas and here it is the cheese enchiladas. So cheesy, so tasty, so good. Chips and salsa are great. And awesome margaritas. Been coming here for years and only get the enchiladas, but another family favorite is the Mole.

Pretty good food! Drinks are pricey as is the food. It seems because they are the most popular Mexican food place in the area they think they can charge what they want. Do like it just wish the drinks specials were better.

Service is usually typically quick. Food comes out warm. Their salsa sauce is already on the table and you’re good to go to start noshing when the chips come to your table. There’s plenty of seating and never really had a problem being seated all the dozen times that I’ve gone. Don’t expect mind-blowing but expect comforting tex mex that hits the spot and has the local spot feel to it. All the typical staples are here so I don’t really have to go through the menu. I’m spoiled by a certain restaurant’s fajitas so I can never review fajitas as they always go unmatched. Otherwise, get your grub on while here. The margs are pretty good too!

Not a good place for big groups. Went with company party and we requested food for forty people, because of cold season, half the staff showed up. Unfortunately there was not enough food for those who were present. When we requested more food they began to argue with us. Not a friendly staff, and the the food was mediocre. Go somewhere else.

Our third time here. We had the lunch special enchilada dinner. It was very good. We always enjoy the food and atmosphere of this restaurant.

Not bad but I think I’ve had better Tex-mex elsewhere. I ordered the chicken mole, which came with two very tender pieces of dark meat, rice, refried beans, and your choice of flour or corn tortillas. I loved how the meat just fell off the bone. As for the mole sauce, it was a bit spicier than what I was used to but still okay in flavor. The refried beans were flavorful and the rice cooked perfectly. I’d come back but I’d probably order something else…

They have gone downhill. The food is mediocre and the service is poor. I used to be a fan and a regular, but have chosen to revoke my patronage of Ojeda’s

Went here for dinner lastnight hoping to find a yummy new tex mex place. def not the case. Let me just cut to the chase, this place screams mediocre, it’s oozing from the walls. Honesty I’m clueless as to why this place was packed. Now, it wasn’t that the food tasted bad, it was just nothing special, like at all. My $ 9 rita did jack shit, the chicken fajitas were ok but very tough & dry, my puffy taco was blah, I make better queso at home, & I wanted to chunk my rice and beans across the restaurant. Let me stop before I really start to rant, save ur time/money and go elsewhere. unless you’re for overrated, overpriced, crappy Mexican food

I really need half star rating options. this place is perfectly mediocre. nothing standout and it wasn’t quite repulsive enough to send the food back. queso was bland, margarita was weak, ribeye & chicken fajitas were dry, chips were cold, tortillas aren’t house made. there are too many other better texmex places to go to for me to waste time and money here. it reminded me of the little Mexican TV dinners I used to eat when I was a kid.

This is a run of the mill Tex-Mex place with what I’d consider good quality ingredients. They were packed for Friday lunch, which I think attests to the menu items we didn’t try. Inside this place is very large, and has a low-light ambiance. We were seated right away and they brought out warm chips and salsa. The house salsa is super spicy, ask for the mild if you can’t handle it! The fajita salad was a good quality salad for a tex-mex place. It was spring mix, tomatoes, corn, avocado and fajita chicken. I liked that it wasn’t just iceberg lettuce in an unhealthy fried tortilla bowl. The dressings were Kraft packets! I’d say that’s really not great… can’t they come up with some cilantro/avocado/ranch or something? I ended up using salsa as an alternative. My counterpart had chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. The red enchilada sauce was nice and spicy, and the enchiladas were good size where 2 were filling. I don’t think he thought they were anything too special. Overall this place is alright… nothing to really differentiate it from other local spots like Uncle Julio’s or El Fenix. Worth a visit if you’re nearby, but don’t plan a trip anytime soon.

Located this place as it was close to my hotel. The neighborhood is a little«iffy», however this place has a fenced parking lot & a security guard watching your car. Inside it is decorated with bright lights hanging from the ceiling. The service here is amazing! Very friendly and fast! I ordered a spicy margarita which was outstanding. Spicy, but not over powering. Nice. The tortilla soup was ok. It is a broth style and I like the creamy style. However, the brisket tacos were great. Meaty, large portions and filling.

I had the combination fajita nachos. This was a mistake. The beans on the nachos were very loose which made a complete mess. I’m usually okay with that but in this case, no thank you. It felt like the beans were the only taste, completely overpowering everything else and they honestly weren’t great tasting on their own. The meat itself was good. What I did like was the atmosphere. They have, what I felt were Halloween Christmas lights. Purple, orange and a lighter color. It was pretty and made you feel transported upon walking in. The service was also lacking but not a huge deal during my visit. All in all, I won’t be going back. There are much better options for Mexican food, in my opinion.

I have been here twice now. Service has been excellent both times. Atmosphere is traditional with a festive flair. I like their chips, not too thick or thin. The salsa is a bit generic. Has a little heat. Picture blended tomatoes and jalapeño. Needs cilantro desperately, or bell peppers, onions, something to spice it up with more flavor. They serve the salsa in a pour your own container, which is nice. First visit ordered the Ojeda platter, their biggest Mexican sampler. Delicious and recommended. A bit pricey at $ 12.50, but it is a lot of food. Recommended. Second visit I ordered the lunch enchilada plate, with one cheese and one beef. I’m not sure but what those were about as fine of enchiladas I’ve ever had. Served with good brown enchilada sauce on top. Recommended. I also ordered an Anaheim beef stuffed crispy Chili Relleno. I just did not like it. The pepper and beef were probably good, but was hard to tell because of some unusual sauce on top. The sauce was mostly a clear yellow thickened sauce, almost like thickened salty chicken bullion. Out of place and not good at all. I think if you had enchilada sauce or chili on top, would be delicious. I couldn’t finish it for the flavor. The flan isn’t the best I ever had, but good enough to definitely recommend.

Came here with my new co-workers for a happy hour. I didn’t get to try the food because I’d had a late lunch. The chips were decent… didn’t do the salsa because they put it in a container and sit it on the table. I didn’t know how long the salsa had been out, so I wasn’t going to take any chances and eat any lol. The drinks were not on a «happy hour» special but they were ok… nothing to write home about. I did take my wife some fajitas home and she said they were pretty good. I do want to come back here to try the food. The staff was very attentive and friendly… so that’s always a plus in my eyes. Watch out for the review of the food! LOL

I’m so disappointed! It had been awhile since I’ve dined at Ojeda’s but years ago, I remember this was THE place to get steak fajitas because they serve you rib-eye cuts. I remember the meat was so tender and flavorful. I finally convinced the boyfriend to take me here. and well, it appears they decided to be cheap and down-grade. The meat was dry and flavorless. So sad…

«Everybody loves Ojedas» seems to be a general repeated phrase, especially for neighboring Oak Lawners who perhaps enjoy the«hidden gem derelict» feel of unshowy but real Maple Avenue. Ojedas looks, and smells the part — bacony beans, smoky fajitas, kitschy Mexicana tchotchkes like wrestling posters, pinatas, cheap colorful maracas and of course, Christmas lights — a dark and delightful Tex Mex cove. Speedy friendly service, often coupled with that natural Latin flirtation, gets you going. Then quick bites of the hot sauce, thin and fairly hot, feels Mexican and commands drinks. And drinking is always what keeps me here, wanting to stay in this dizzy cantina that is often packed. Not the food. «This chicken tastes canned.» Jeremiah illicited with a slight lip curl up. Who during our Ojedas tête-á-tête revealed that an actual friendship had ended over his refusal to go to over rated Ojedas. On this, his first trip here, he ordered his goto tex mex meal — two sour cream enchiladas and one beef with chile con carne sauce. He wasn’t impressed, nor am I, which is why I just ordered a small guacamole, ate hot sauce and sipped on Jameson. That’s the way to enjoy this actually quiet nice atmosphere, with just okay food, that happens to be some Dallasites very favorite Tex Mex restaurants. It must be the margaritas talking. Holey moley. This place was bomb. I’m a CA native and was visiting Dallas for the weekend and everyone I was visiting with highly recommended Ojeda’s. Despite them raving about it I really didn’t have the highest expectations. After all I’m from socal where good Mexican food is a staple. Ojeda’s fajita-fried egg-enchilada was AMAZING. I was full by the time I’d had half of it but really just couldn’t stop eating. You can choose between chicken and beef fajitas and enchiladas so I got a chicken enchilada and beef fajitas. This place definitely made me want to try more Tex-Mex dishes. If I ever find myself back in Dallas this is where i’m dining.
