I stopped into Office Depot to exchange some letter-size file folders for legal-size, since we had an ordering oops at work. We order through Office Max which is the same as Office Depot since the merger(my receipt said Office Max, but they were Office Depot brand file folders). The employee who greeted us right as we walked through the oven(I mean vestibule– seriously, it was uncomfortably hot in the entryway) was friendly and asked if I needed any help, as I was carrying the box of folders. I told him that I needed to exchange them and he asked if I knew where they were in the store. I didn’t, but was happy to go find them. He offered to take me over there, which I thought was great. I told him I just needed legal size instead of letter size. He grabbed a box off the shelf and we headed up front to do the exchange. Imagine my shock when it’s not an even exchange at all(or even a $ 5 difference) — the box of folders he picked for me were $ 36.99. $ 36.99 for 25 folders! No sir. After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I asked if I could go get folders that were cheaper because wtf. He seemed confused, but said«Sure». On the shelf below the folders he had chosen were the Office Depot brand simple basic recycled legal-sized folders I needed for $ 12.79. Turns out the ones he picked were heavy duty and could hold 2″ of materials, etc. etc. I just wanted basic ones, which I had said. The letter-sized ones I had were basic. I said, «I want these, but in legal size. Just basic folders.» Yet he got the $ 36 ones and seemed confused when my eyes popped out of my head? All in all, I was able to get what I needed and there was only a small price difference for my legal folders from the letter sized ones. Next time, however, I will be much more likely to just find the item myself and get what I need rather than defer to the employee and $ 36.99 file folders…

I needed a laptop and had searched many stores. When I went into Office Depot I was helped by Tony. He spent about 45 minutes with me discussing all the possible choices. After a second and third visit I made the purchase which went smoothly and included an additional rebate, security software and refreshing of the computer. I also returned about a week later with a glitch in the program and they fixed it right there on the spot. The knowledge, helpfulness and time spent with me was so impressive that I actually enjoyed coming in there every time.

Went there earlier this month to get a computer. The guys in the store were very up-front and honest about their recommendations. I walked out with a great Lenovo computer for under $ 400. These guys were not traditional sales men which made it nice. And now, the thing that will keep me coming back… Laura the cashier. She is an older woman who is so funny. Words can’t describe how great she was. If you need ink, office stuff, to ship something, or a computer then go to this place just to talk to the cashier. She had me cracking up.

The store is always clean and organized! The staff is always helpful and courteous about any needs. I use to go there a lot for work related projects and once they lost an order and completed a huge laminated project for me in 20 mins. Always great service, always! Ive been to some run down office depots and this one is best! Good job office depot team!

Love the service. Very friendly and helpful. They do have a little savings card right now where you get credits for all of the ink cartridges you bring it.

Decent Office Depot location… not my regular one that I patronize(that would be the Valley Ranch location). I am in the Addison area from time to time, so I have stopped by… if my wife is with me, I insist she go check out DSW. She’s always upset about having to do that ;) Anyway, the reason I give this location 4 stars(high for just an office supply store) is that, among most the the DFW locations, THIS location has a much larger selection, in general, than most. If you can’t find a USB flash drive here that tickles your fancy, then it doesn’t exist. Lots a cool stuff for a home office and office supplies freak, like myself, to find wonderful, pricey comfort in. So yes… I will volunteer to drive my wife to DSW in Addison… as long as I can stop by Office Depot and pick up an unnecessary office item that I probably won’t use nearly as much as I imagine :)

This location must have a severe problem with ink thieves, because they lock those boxes up behind the counter in a heavy-duty storage system. First it was money, then cigarettes and booze, now INK?!? What is this world coming to? But in all seriousness, this«keep away the ink thieves» system is really inconvenient for the rest of us who just want to pay for our printer needs. For example, today I had to wait in line until I reached a free clerk. Then he had to go to another computer, look up my printer, find the correct box, then shuffle through 4 storage shelves until he found the right inks. Meanwhile, the line behind me continued to build and I got mean looks from those waiting. On a positive note, they do have some pretty great prices and sales going on for the holidays. I saw a brand new Flip on sale for $ 89… I almost picked it up for my own stocking! *A message to the infamous ink thieves: Take your klepto tendencies elsewhere. It’s interrupting my quick shopping trips to Office Depot.
