Came here for brunch around 1:00 and was immediately seated. The waitress said hello then didn’t come check on me again for 10 minutes(FYI they weren’t that busy). I had to go find her and ask her to come take my order. Then she still didn’t come for 10 more minutes, I got up and asked for help from another server. He was more helpful. Got my food in about 20 minutes. Typical diner food, prices are very reasonable though. The fact that the waitress had an attitude and didn’t seem to want to take care of me ruined my experience. Would have gave 3 stars otherwise.

I love brunch places! Especially inexpensive and delicious ones. Like other Unilocal reviewers have mentioned, this place is cash only. It gets really busy Sunday around noon but that says a lot about the food and service. The waiting line to be served moves pretty quickly. The few times that I’ve been, the staff has always been kind and helpful. My coffee cup was never empty for long. Their menu has brunch items, lunch, and Mexican foods. I really liked their breakfast tacos and chicken fried steak. The breakfast biscuits melt right in your mouth! The café is small and loud but it has a diner feel to it. Check it out my fellow brunch lovers!

This morning my husband and I wanted to try out a diner in the area and this was the great choice! We walked in and it was pretty busy, assumed considering it was noon on a Saturday for brunch. The place is small so it was limited in areas to stand. We got seated in less than 5 minutes. Staff greeted us immediately, got our coffee out right away. The options are typical breakfast options and they had some yummy specials. We chose our meals pretty quick, the western omelet and the Mexican omelet both priced at 6.99 with egg whites so there was a small up charge. The food came out pretty fast, and it was delicious! We got biscuits and hash browns as our sides and we put the hash browns on top of the omelette and they made it even more delicious! I was very impressed with the service and the food and especially the cost! 18 for two people-coffee and meals in less than 45 minutes!

Haven’t been back in years, was in the hood and craving breakfast. As soon as I walked in remembered why I was boycotting them. Cash only. In this day and age, that should be illegal. Service hasn’t improved either. Very slow to get menu, take order and it is faster if you just refill your drinks yourself. Regulars seem to get preferential treatment. Food was nicely done, turkey bacon crisp, eggs cooked perfectly and English muffin crisp around edges. Unfortunately I can’t get past the poor service and cash only to want to come back anytime soon.

Fantastic breakfast food. Old school diner feel. Kinda small, and they only take cash(but there is an ATM nearby). I’m definitely coming here over Breadwinners because this place is LOTS cheaper and has great food. Friendly and surprisingly efficient staff. It was very crowded so come early.

Very friendly people and nice little diner type place. Went two days in a row while we stayed at the doubletree nearby.

**CASHONLYESTABLISHMENT** This place is AWESOME! Went on a Sunday around 11:30am to this little gem and it was PACKED. Apparently very popular with the locals(many to-go orders picked up), people were willing to stand in the entrance to wait for a table.(We were lucky to catch a table when we arrived) Nice waitress with a sense of humor. Good coffee which was always kept topped off by another gentleman working there. I had the Mexican omlette, very yummy, light and fluffy. Good hashbrowns and very tasty biscuits and gravy. BUT the STAR of the show was my Husband’s meal, the Chile Chilaquiles!!! HUGE plate. Two perfectly cooked Sunnyside up eggs on a pile of tortilla chips covered in the richest, most delectable chilli sauce I’ve ever had. Served with some creamy refried beans, shredded lettuce and sour cream. I will drive back to Dallas just to eat this meal. So don’t walk, RUN to the Oasis! Just remember to bring cash money and possibly to be patient for a table but the wait in my opinion is completely worth it. Enjoy. :)

I just left the Oasis… nice little mom & pop affordable no frill place to sit down and enjoy a mean that won’t break your wallet or send you out with a bad case of buyers remorse. I did notice the hashbrown helpings for breakfast are quite small compared to orders I have had from other establishments. But that being said, I had Chicken Fried Steak with Gravy, two eggs done perfectly, hashbrowns and wheat toast for $ 6.99 and everything was steaming hot… Coffee, $ 1.59. After a 2 buck tip I walked out spending $ 11.00 bucks and had a happy tummy… I will be back…

We drove by there a couple weeks ago and thought to check it out soon. After reading some reviews, it was time to go on in. The place is small and it is CASHONLY. Breakfast was the plan and the service was kinda slow, but the older lady who waited on us was very friendly. The food came quickly… and it wasn’t busy when we arrive, but quickly filled to standing room waiting in about 30 minutes. Onto the food… I got the GRANDE breakfast. For ~8.00, it was inline with a good cheap breakfast. One of the litmus tests for me is how much salt is needed and I found I needed it more than usual. While I’m glad the food doesn’t come salty, the hash browns and gravy needed it. The gravy… I hope they find a better recipe. It looks so good, but really had no flavor. The biscuits… oh my, what a treat. Fresh, flaky, butter… excellently done. Wifey got the crispy tacos and loved them. The hot sauce was too hot, but the waitress promptly brought salsa and all was well. BOTTOMLINE: Good place for a cheap breakfast that simply OK. Not the best overall quality for a diner, but it’s a diner even though the word CAFE is on the building. We may try it again and see how a lunch experience will be.

Extremely casual hole in the wall place that only accepts cash. I have only eaten breakfast here and it has always been crowded but has extremely quick service. The food is usually pretty good and feels very homemade. Every time I eat here I feel like my grandma is in the one in the kitchen making me breakfast. Great hidden gem but does not necessarily stand out and may get over looked

Great mom and pop shop for breakfast. Daily menu changes everyday. The two of us had pancake, fruits, omelette, French toast, grand breakfast(3 eggs, ham and hash) for just 17 $. The only downside is the cleanliness. The floor was just a bit dirty.

Cash only– be prepared, accordingly. Oasis Café excels by doing all the little simple things that others falter at so well: 1. Perfectly cooked eggs(OE), every time 2. Moist, fluffy biscuits, every time 3. Gravy that does not congeal in the bowl before you’ve finished with it, every time 4. Perfectly cooked steak(MR, with eggs), every time 5. Cheerful, promp service, every time For these reasons, I prefer this little diner to all others in the area(including Gold Rush, my previous fave), by a significant margin. Bring cash, order what looks best, sit back, and enjoy the experience thoroughly– lovely!

Mom and Pop shop breakfast, come and get it! It’s a good halfway point between Plano and Dallas and made for a good brunch on a Saturday morning. The hostess/waitress was amazingly personable and figured that it was our first time at the establishment. She made suggestions off the menu — breakfast tacos, Mexican omelette — as well as pointed out the specials of the day. My friend and I decided to split a special — spinach, bacon, onion, Swiss cheese omelet — and definitely got our bang for the buck! The meal was served with hash browns, an orange slice, and toast but we switched out the toast for the home-made biscuit. They gave us each a biscuit. It was double the meal for the same price of $ 5.49! Food caliber wasn’t a stand-out but I cleaned the plate. If you’re looking for an affordable breakfast with happy staff, this is the place to visit!

This place is tiny. Couldn’t have been more than 10 booths and a few tables. I thought the booths themselves were very small and I’m a small person standing just over 5’2″. So if you are a large person, you may have to sit at a table. French toast, eggs over medium, grits and sausage was my order. Eggs were perfect. Sausage was good but tasted just like Jimmy Dean. French toast was not the texas toast kind, just normal slices but still tasty. Syrup was warm. Grits score a 0. Plain, nasty and if a small joint like this can’t do grits better, honestly they should take them off the menu. Service was friendly. Coffee was hot and fresh. Meal was cheap. This place is nothing to call home about but if you’re looking for a cheap, hot meal and you want to stay below the radar, this is your spot.

This place is great for breakfast, fast and very inexpensive! Please make sure you have cash on you, they don’t take credit cards. They have a board with all there specials, I like the chilaquiles, good stuff. Today I tried there spinach omelette, it was pretty good, the biscuits on the side are so soft, I’m thinking they are Pittsbury. Like the fact that the staff all works together and helps every table regardless if it was assigned to them or not. We stop here for breakfast every time we come to Dallas so I definitely recommend.

I want to like this place. I tried to like this place. Today was the second time we went there, and at best this place is «meh.» The waitress was obviously in a bad mood, and the food was definitely subpar. My wife had the french toast, and it was a pretty pitiful attempt. She ate about half and then couldn’t stomach anymore. I had the breakfast tacos. Not bad, but definitely nothing to brag about. Again, I want to like this place. Mainly because I find diners so much fun. But, save your money and venture off somewhere else.
