Don’t get tricked into spending $ 250 on their cookie recipe. When the waitress tells you«it’s only two fifty», she does not mean $ 2.50. That came as quite a surprise when Evelyn got her Visa statement. Anyways, here is the $ 250 cookie recipe, compliments of Evelyn!(See photos)

Neiman Marcus Café is located at street level on Commerce Street(valet parking) side, opposite Main Street entrance. Order their LOVESALAD which has big chunks of artichokes served with balsamic vinegar. NM serves mostly salad and healthy eats, but it’s also a good option if time is of the essence. For us espresso/cappuccino lovers, you will need to go back inside Neiman Marcus main floor, and head to their«Espresso Bar» located underneath the 1st Floor escalator. Restroom is also not available inside the NM café. So do plan ahead, otherwise; seriously cross your legs! «fml» Overall, not bad for a quick bite to eat! Until then, Cheers! ~ :p

Very disappointed by my meal. The food was sub normal and was pretty pricey. I would not recommend this place.

What a pleasant place for a lunch. Enjoyed the seafood lasagna and that’s a hard one to get right. They nailed it. Great tea and service.

This place is awesome nice daily special with a salad, very good combination of vegetables and meat, cannot find a better place for lunch closeby that’s good with a reasonable tag… very professional wait staff… just wish they could serve espresso there but flying horse is a few steps away… Perfect !! Strongly recommended. Also the fashion shows on the big TV is usually great too :-) 2 thumbs UP!

Best venue for a baby shower ever — its all style and service and fun, and no work for the hostess, just sit back and enjoy yourself. Best cake, the best. Love NM

I was beyond starving, and I refused to eat another Tex-Mex meal. The young ladies at the Weekend coffeehouse suggested the Neiman Marcus café. I walked in, and Timothy Fry gave me the window seat so that I can people watch. He was extremely knowledgeable about the items. He was a real sweetheart. I ordered a Mediterranean salad and Pepsi. Yes, a salad is a salad, but this salad was was very tasty. The combination of chickpeas, cucumbers, feta, peppers, tomatoes, and lo-cal vinaigrette was EVERYTHING. It was light yet filling. The only complaint was the fact that I had to walk outside to go to the store in order to use the restroom, and Dallas’s heat was no joke. If you are downtown and need something light, fresh, and healthy, then this place is perfect.

So I expected this place to be amazing cause it is in Neiman Marcus and all but both times I was just meh about it. The first time I got a regular salad with grilled salmon and balsamic vinaigrette, and it was standard, nothing amazing but pretty good. The second time, I got a vegetable salad and it was just not worth the money. I could have gotten it panera or something and it would have been way better. The actual café is really cute though and the atmosphere is nice. You pay for the environment basically, not the food. I would only really come here if it was for work or something, but I would rather eat at better cafes.

Great lunch spot with fresh, healthy feeling sandwiches, salads and entrees. Great for a post-shopping stop, lunch with colleagues, etc. Service is great, in line with other Neiman Marcus stores and restaurants. Also, can’t forget to mention their cookies. Grab one to go for an afternoon snack(my fav is the plain chocolate chip!)

My parents took me here while we were visiting Dallas because my mom loved the NM café when she lived in Dallas 25 years ago. Our server, Francisco, was excellent, friendly, and accommodating. You can tell he loves what he does and he does it very well. The food was also on point. The bread they give along with the strawberry butter is so good! I ordered the ahi tuna salad, which was both refreshing and filling. Prices are a little on the high side but the excellent service and food makes it worth it.

I work downtown, so this is a convenient and fairly affordable option for a healthy lunch. The service is always good, and they seem to realize that the lunchtime crowd has about an hour. The specials are great and there are calorie counts on many of the menu items. They can accomodate birthday parities, etc. after 3 and have cakes on-site!

The manager here is really nice. Friendly and engaging. They have really fresh and yummy salads here. Probably the best salad that you can get in Dallas. Try it for yourself! Oh, they also have gigantic cookies here that my managers love eating. I brought a cookie and brownie back for my boyfriend and he loved them.

Great little lunch spot downtown. My friend said that the food is the same as their Zodiac restaurant inside except prices are more reasonable. The only thing is you don’t get the popovers. I ordered the ham and brie sandwich with honey dijon on the side. It was so yummy! We came here around noon and it wasn’t too busy. Seated right away and the servers were constantly filling my water too. Some of the items on the menu even has the calorie amount for those NM fashionistas. Since I’m working downtown right now I will be back to try out more items!

The food is great but the worst service I’ve had in a while. For the price you pay for food you would expect more. They are like the Neiman’s store and only take AMEX, NM card, and cash. If I go back it will be for take out.

Excellent quality food-wise but will put a dent in your wallet. Salads, sandwiches, and especially desserts are worthy of the Neiman Marcus moniker. Excellent quantities for the price. Expensive for lunch but you get what you pay for. Trent is right. No MC/Visa. Cash, AMEX and NM card are your only options.

This was my favorite place to eat lunch when I worked downtown for five and a hlaf years. It has a lot of the same menu items as the Zodiac(fancier restaurant located inside Neiman’s). It’s chicken salad sandwich and tortilla soup are my favorite lunch combination anywhere. It is not cheap, but it is really good and they have the same odd payment policies as Neiman’s the store. No MC/Visa only AMEX and Neiman’s charge, so bring your cash.
