Had their rice bowl. Mushy rice. Weird vegetable combination. Meat was okay but looks like it died ages ago.

The basil mint lemonade is a must! The Bahn Mi is super tasty with a good price too! Portion size is BIG enough for two people to split.

Stopped by this food truck for a quick bite to eat. Service was fast, and everyone seemed pretty friendly. Also, the smells coming from this truck was insane! The ginger soy tofu sounded really good, so my mom and I shared a bowl of vermicelli noodles, with peppers, carrots, and more! The tofu had amazing flavor, and the bowl itself was extremely generous. The only problem I had with my meal is the noodles were dry after you finished eating the«protein»(you got to choose your meat/tofu). This may be because I didn’t add the fish sauce(I’m a vegetarian), but they should have an alternative for people like me! Overall, I would come back again. The portions were huge(thank goodness I shared with my mom!), and the protein was delicious!

Food truck located in Klyde Warren. The food was OK. I don’t really recommend spending $ 7.50 on the tacos. The corn tortilla wasn’t that good and the meat lacked flavor. That being said, the food was good but it wasn’t great for the prices. Not worth it.

Delish delish delish! I ordered the BBQ pork rice bowl and paired it off with mint lemonade. Total came to $ 12 — a little expensive, but what can I do? The portions are fairly generous, as it’s full of veggies, meat and rice, so I can’t really complain. I lavished my dish with the sauces they had on the side with spicy mayo, creamy cilantro, and sriracha, which made it even better. The meal as a whole had a nice spicy kick to it, and the veggies were very soft. It’s a little cute food truck in the heart of downtown, next to Klyde Warren Park. It’s dressed in baby blue, so you can’t miss it!

Nammi Nammi! Anytime I visit Klyde Warren park, I’m usually on the look out for the Nammi Truck. Their Banh Mi sandwiches are always so delicious and fulfilling. They are huge and filled up with meats and veggies. The BBQ Pork is my favorite and their chicken isn’t too bad either. I love the baguette they use as well to make the sandwich. It’s always so soft and yummy. The basil mint lemonade is a must! It goes perfectly with your sandwich! Check it out!

How could you lead us so astray on this one, Unilocalers? Don’t you know you should never pay more than $ 5(at the very most) for a sandwich? Any more than that and you’re just buying air. With so many food options in the area, why overpay for just OK food.

Visiting from Vegas and was excited to go find the Nammi truck! I’m Vietnamese and love Banh Mi, and was similar to the owners of Nammi, my husband and I also left the architecture world to venture into our own business! The Asian BBQ pork Banh Mi($ 8) and Basil Lemonade($ 3) did not disappoint! The Banh mi is piled high with pickled carrots and daikon and cilantro, messy and hard to shove in your mouth — but completely worth it! The customer service for this crew was not exceptional, young kids more interested in checking out girls at the Klyde Warren Park and giggling amongst themselves than taking my order. But the food was great and the surroundings if the park were great, children-friendly as the Park had play equipment. Will definitely eat here again!

I have only tried the Bahn Mi but it was not very good. a little too dry. I felt like i was eating a few pickled vegetables in a dry piece of bread… not sure why anyone would order this more than once. I had high hopes for the food but so far i’ve been disappointed by most food trucks.

I found Vietnamese food in Dallas, and well, with food trucks being so popular in DC I had to try one in Dallas. The guy running the truck taking orders was super friendly. I ordered the Asian noodle bowl with honey grilled pork and on another day the Asian noodle bowl with half chicken half tofu. Portions were large! The honey grilled pork was tender with a nice hint of sweetness from the honey. Could have been grilled a bit longer/higher heat to get some of that grill flavor that I’m use to. The lemongrass chicken, made with thigh meat I assume, was average. And the ginger soy tofu was soaked in a rich ginger soy sauce(obviously) that eventually overpowered the entire flavor of the dish(even with the added fish sauce) but that’s okay because it was still tasty. They also offer cute Asian snacks and Vietnamese coffee that are worth trying. Credit cards accepted and will text you a receipt.

Is it sad that I look for this truck at events and festivals. Love their lemongrass bahn mi with tons of siracha and that cilantro mayo stuff, for two you’re at about like 20 bucks which is a deal for their food portions sizes. The basil mint lemonade is the bomb pairs well with their food.

Banh Mi and other Vietnamese fare out of a food truck is just a fun idea all together. The truck itself is cute and they sell canned Thai Tea(meh!) and Hello Panda snacks, making any person with an inclination towards general Asian culture pretty happy. Although, considering the get up it’s flaunting, it’s pretty obvious to see that Nammi is catering to the people that walk their dogs/children at Klyde Warren Park. It’s haole-fied as a mofo, but I think anyone that has had the real deal will still enjoy their banh mi. It’s also nice that you can choose other meats(tofu and lemongrass chicken) for your banh mi instead of the usual pork. You still get that wonderful sting from their fresh jalapenos, but the sandwich still feels like it’s been through the FDA and back. I tried their Noodle Bowl with lemongrass chicken which was like bun thit nuong without that many vegetables and not as good. Okay and I did cry a little when I saw there wasn’t an egg roll in it. The price is also what you’d expect from some hip food truck($$) and I’ll be honest, I go to Nammi’s the most out of the others that are parked out here. When you take a step back though from all of its cuteness and shine, it’s just an alright place to eat when you’re stranded on top of Woodall Rodgers.

Nammi is absolutely not authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Thanks to a very doting boyfriend of mine, I’ve been spoiled rotten by real hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese food so I have the biased credentials to make such a statement. Nammi is an Asian fusion food truck that has huge portions, HUGE portions, and HUGEEEEEE portions. The turnaround time for your order is relatively short and the line during the lunch rush is pretty long. I wish they’d add more spice into some of their noodle dishes to liven up the dishes but their meats are usually seasoned pretty well. For $ 8+, you do get a pretty large amount of food in their noodle dishes. When I do get my order, I load up on Sriracha and fish sauce and drenched my entrée to give it the kick it needed. I do find the taste and spice a bit too mild for my own taste but that’s also coming from a Korean that prefers to cry during her meal because of the heat level. Their«banh-mi» is probably the best value for food at Nammi and for $ 6+ you’re not getting the real stuff. However, you are getting a plethora of seasoned meats and veggies in your mouth. If you’re looking for the real stuff, head on over to Garland or Houston. If it costs under $ 3 you’re probably at the right place. Nammi is a nice little pseudo Asian in between especially when you’re just hanging back at Klyde Warren on a sunny day wanting to nom on some semblance of Asian food. P. S. Get a lot of fish sauce. If you don’t know what fish sauce is, you’re missing out.

Another yummy food truck. My friend wanted to eat here and I agreed. So have to say the rice bowl BBQ pork was yummy and fresh. Sticky rice and full of fresh veggies. Meat was tasty too. More like chasu pork. And even had the red color. Love the pickles but not too sure about the jalapeño pepper on the top. But still yummy. Will go back to try more combinations.

So the first time we tried this place, we where at an art show. They had about five food trucks and only the Nammi truck had a huge line. So of course, we got in the line. And man! After that day we are in a constant search for this truck! I’ve tried the Bahmi sandwiches and the rice bowls, it’s so awesome! They put tons of pickled carrots, jicama and on the rice bowls they have purple pickled cabbage. That with tons of siracha and their cilantro sauce it’s the best ever! Also, definitely try their basil mint lemonade. I just wish they had a bigger cup!

We just had nammi cater an event for us and they were great. They were right on time and set up exactly when expected. Food was delicious, fresh, served fast. Owner was friendly, and attentive. They worked out a great deal with us and worked within our budget to provide the best possible menu that was a total crowd pleaser! I highly recommend them for your next event!

Maybe an off day? I came during the Good Friday service and needed a rice fix! I smelled the soy sauce and made a run for this truck. I kept seeing huge portions coming out of the truck so you could say it was an anticipated wait. STAFF: 5! Super friendly and helpful despite the nonstop rush at the time. ASIANBBQPORK: the reason for the 3 stars. Too salty, less than expected, not much specialty on the sauce… no reason to revisit this. I was craving white rice… but the white rice and purple cabbage were the bulk of the dish. I would’ve been okay with that amount of rice if there was more sauce/flavor to mix it in, but I don’t typically like to pay for plain white rice with cold veggies. It didn’t start off steaming hot and the wind didn’t help much with that either. I would probably want to try the Banh Mi or noodle dish instead with some other kind of meat. Better luck next time!

Absolutely amazing! I have eaten at only a few food trucks in my life, so when my friend suggested we go to KWP to try out this truck I was hesitant. Not so much because I had bad experiences, but often it’s very little food for a lot of money, which I don’t have! Upon walking up to the truck there was a small line and lots of cute things to look at. They have shrimp chips!!! Which I would have gotten, but I knew the food I was ordering would be enough based on what I saw others taking away. I ordered the Asian noodle bowl with chicken and no jalapeños. I also got Thai tea, which if I had known it was in a can, I would’ve passed on. Anyways, the bowl is vermicelli noodles with all kinds of veggies. I added a little bit of their cilantro sauce and oh my glob this was DELICIOUS. I have never had anything like this and I would love to have it again. Everything was seasoned perfectly, the chicken was moist, and for $ 9.50 it was a huge portion. Plus the bowl was super cute. Definitely recommend eating here!

I was on a business trip at a conference, and there weren’t many options for lunch nearby, so I decided to go for the food trucks with long, longggg lines without much expectations. I never understood the hype for food trucks since all the ones I have had before were alright, nothing impressive or special — until Nammi. I was torn between getting Banh Mi or the Noodle Salad. Since I had to go back to the conference after lunch, I figured I would go for the less messy option — the Noodle Salad: 1. Super generous portions. 2. The pickled carrots and radishes have perfect crunches, perfect seasonings! 3. Everything(cilantro, veggies, and etc) was super fresh! 4. The cilantro cream is like cilantro mayo essentially! 5. I remembered the meat was a little salty, but that’s okay since the vermicelli noodles are too bland by itself. 6. Everything tasted fabulous when mixed together. I also went for the Basil Lemonade beverage — refreshing and a good ending to my lunch, which I couldn’t finish unfortunately due to the huge portions, and I can eat a LOT. Nammi, please come to Minneapolis?

I’ve only been to the on-site location in the semi-abandoned looking mall. Not to the food truck. Service here has always been friendly and kind. I really like their Honey Grilled Pork Banh Mi. If pâté is your thing, go for it, but I didn’t enjoy it. Other friends of mine liked their BBQ Pork Banh Mi. I haven’t tried it. It’s the only place close t work that has decent banh mi, though so I’ll be coming back here. The reason why it’s only 3 stars is because they have all this stuff on their menu that isn’t available. :(

I’m SO happy I finally got to experience this fusion of flavor… it was worth EVERY penny. I ordered the a Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi and a refreshing cup of the Basil Mint Lemonade. The baguette was crispy on the outside and chewy yet soft in the middle, the mayonnaise spread really helped with that. Now, I’m not a huge fan ATALL of cilantro and the sandwich was finished off with it, but to my surprise, it satisfied my taste buds combined with the sweet pickled carrots and radishes. I really liked it! One of my favorite things about the Banh Mi is the crunch of all of the veggies… the fresh cucumbers, the pickled veggies, even the fresh jalapeño which added just the right amount of kick. Even with all of the veggies, and the mayo spread, the lemongrass chicken, seasoned perfectly, was tasted in every bite, never overpowered. THEN, to wash it down with the fresh, bright, sweet & sour taste of the lemonade, everything was perfect!
