Monaco on Katy Trail

This apartment complex is right off of Katy Trail and close to Cedar Springs. They offer quite a few apartment models.
The guest parking is limited but you can have a guest pass. A few friends live here and the price is high per square foot.
Overall, it’s convenient but expensive.

I have lived in the uptown area for years and have great experience with other apartments in the area. When we first moved into this place, we were excited given the great location and amenities. Unfortunately the move in experience was awful and the service from the apt complex was to say minimal at best. They had informed us the prior night that we would have the freight elevator (which was several feet from out actually apt) available and blocked off for us for certain time frame. We already had movers hired and confirmed with them the time frame. In addition we had asked for time off from work to move in. An hour before our movers arrived, we went by the place to drop off small items and lo and behold the freight elevator was broken and no one had informed us. Our movers were paid on a rate of 15min after first two hours we naturally we were upset that now we had to move in using the main elevators with all the other residents and wait for the elevators and on top
Of that the elevators were about 5−7x the distance we had originally anticipated. The apt complex manager/​staff could have cared less. Fine. Elevators break but we would have never been informed or notified if we had not come beforehand. That following week around 10pm on a Saturday night I was parked in the gated apt complex garage by the elevator with my hazards on trying to move a large desk that was purchased that same evening. I would like to point out that I had a resident sticker on my car with my hazards on parked by the elevator. Unfortunately I had no help and thus it took about 20 – 30 min to lug this furniture into elevator and then out and down hallway into the apt (I had to make several
Stops) regardless I got back down to the garage and my car had been towed. As a resident in this gated parking garage a towing truck contracted by the apt complex had entered the gate with a code on a late Saturday evening and towed my car within this time frame. The apt complex staff once again took no action.
