I had a very pleasant experience using Mister Tuxedo. They are a little more expensive but the owner takes care of business and ensures you are looking good. I will do business with them again.

Formal wear is housed on property, which makes this a great stop for last minute needs. Recently, I spilled coffee on a white dinner jacket three hours before an event. I was certain I was doomed. Called Mister Tuxedo and they were able to get me handled in twenty minutes.

I was in three weddings this year and had to rent tuxedos for all of them. Two were at Men’s Warehouse and one from Mister Tuxedo. My advice, avoid Mister Tuxedo. 1) Tuxedo Qualify and Fit The tuxedos are very poor quality and more expensive than other places. My suspenders just fell apart during the wedding so one side couldn’t clamp to the pants. Another groomsman couldn’t wear his either because they would’t stay clamped to the pants. Additionally, another groomsmen had a button just pop off right before we walked into the church. The fit was also poor and there is little to no hope of getting it fixed the day before the wedding at this place. In fact, the owner told me not to even try mine on before I walked out of the store which I thought was very odd. Out of six groomsmen only four of us had tuxedos that actually fit. The sleeves on my jacket were too long and the sleeves on my shirt were too short. Unlike Men’s Warehouse, their tuxedos do not come with socks so plan on bringing some if you are traveling. 2) Convenience Mister Tuxedo is extremely inconvenient to people with a normal job because they are only open from 9:30 — 5:30(4:30 on Saturday) and closed Sunday. Since most weddings are on Saturday, being closed on Sunday is extremely inconvenient, especially if you are traveling the next week or came in from out of town. So if you use this place, plan on skipping lunch or taking time off work to get fitted, pick up your tux, and return your tux. My advice is to use Men’s Warehouse or another large retail chain if you need tuxedos for a wedding. The quality is slightly better and they will run between $ 20 and $ 30 cheaper. The real difference is they make you try it on in the store and will fix anything before the wedding if something doesn’t fit right. Also, they are open on Sunday and late at night so you don’t need to take off work to get fitted. Another benefit to using a large retail chain is that they can be returned at any location nationwide so you don’t have to worry about having someone drop your tux off if you have an early flight the next day. Basically, its easier on the wedding party if you make it more convenient for them.

A wedding is a once in a lifetime occurrence and typically a decent tuxedo shop will respect that. Our party had a combination of issues: mismatched coats, too many broken button mishaps(I understand a few here and there but this was unacceptable), missing buttons, and deception from the owner. If you do decide to entrust this shop with your special day here, do a rigorous quality check on the clothes prior to the day… and make sure you demand for slim cut despite what they say. I was told it was not possible… then saw other people in the party that it was made available for.
