This salon, specifically Chad Demchuk, is the best of the best. He is an award-​winning stylist and I was recently used to be a model for his next entry, and I was treated well as long as enjoyed myself for the many long hours I spent with Chad. He is extremely well-​educated as well as wise in the area of style and what looks best. Whether you are going to this salon for an entire new style and color or simply a small touch up to your roots, this salon will never leave you unsatisfied. They treated me better than any other salon I have been to or ever worked with. Anyone looking for a new stylist MUST give Chad Demchuk a chance. I promise you won’t have to try anywhere else!

I recently had my hair done at the Michael Flores Salon by Chad Demchuk. He did an awesome job!!!
I went in needing my haircut fixed from almost a year ago. I have curly hair, and the last person who cut it did a not so great job. I naturally have curly hair, but wear it straight most times. Not only did he fix the haircut, but I now have a lot more versatility with it, and can even wear it curly and it lays in place like it should!
He also did my color– a really awesome deep but vibrant red with loads of dimension. It had TONS of shine, and it felt amazing after– the condition of it improved just from the color itself I think!
And the best part, he did all this work, and I was in and out in just 2 hours. For a girl on the go like myself, that is KEY to me, as I have 2 kids to take care of and don’t live in the immediate area. Oh, and he has some GREAT connections inside of the Neiman Marcus store and was able to snag me a complimentary facial– AMAZING!!!
I would HIGHLY recommend him, I can’t wait to see him again for my next appointment!

First, some background. I have very naturally curly/​kinky hair. I’m also biracial, so my hair texture is different than pretty much anyone’s besides my sisters. Everyone’s a snowflake, right?
Anyway, because of this it’s been very, very hard to find anyone who could handle it without experimenting. I have had every bad experience one could have with their hair and wasn’t all to eager to have any more. That’s when I found out that the Dēva products I had been using came from a company so curl-​centric that they’d adapted a special way of cutting curly hair. Enter the choir!
I’ve been coming to Glenn for a little over a year now. I’ve had Dēva cuts in LA and another salon in Dallas and was already hooked. When I came to the Michael Flores salon, I was looking to find one person I could continue to work with and I found it. We’ve taken my hair from dark brown to blonde (over the course of a few months) and have given it shape to grow from (which no one had really done for me). I couldn’t be more pleased with everything and I’m so glad to find someone I trust and enjoy spending a few hours with for perfect curls.

I LOVE Glen Charles!!! He listened to my hair problems and corrected a bad color job I received from another salon. He spent tons of time with me. He also studied my curl and made suggestions for a better cut. I have always had really thick curly hair and he is the only one who has ever given me a good curly cut. I went home and followed his instructions for how to style and dry it without frizz. I went out to run errands and I kid you not, I had three people stop me to comment on my hair. One lady asked me if it was real and tried to touch it.

Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience as these other reviews. It started out badly
and ended very poorly on the Salon’s side. I am not a stylist, but somewhere during my highlight my ends came out very dry and lost all curl around the frame of my face.
I kept K-​pack deep conditioner (²⁴⁄₇) on my hair for several days and when I returned to another stylist (on my request) they only had time for a consult. I thought they would try and resolve the issue at hand. I did get a full refund but left in tears with my hair a mess.
They are located in a very well know retail store so their lack of resolve to correct my damaged hair is beyond me. The good news for me was that I was able to walk into a another salon in the area and they took me in right away! She had to cut off a good 2 inches of my hair and style it. This is what I was hoping for when I returned to Michael Flores thinking it would be resolved.

Glenn Charles is awesome! I have 3c hair and was in dyre need of a trim. I went in for a deva cut. He was very knowledgeable and took his time to understand the look that I was trying to achieve. Worth every penny.

Glenn Charles is a great stylist. He listens, takes his time, and actually understands hair texture and curl pattern. My hair is recovering from damage I caused from having left on a chemical straightener too long. Glenn was able to give me a cut that helped my hair have a style instead of looking like a massive, frizzy mushroom that had to be pulled back at all times. I definitely recommend him, whether your hair is barely wavy or very kinky curly.
Everyone else at the salon was very nice and attentive. The Michael Flores Salon is big on customer service and making each client feel as if s/​he matters.

As a long-​time customer of Michael Flores and Michael Flores Salon, I feel qualified to bestow a five-​star rating on this establishment. The quality of service is consistently second to none; the staff always professional, friendly and ready to accommodate the client. Whether looking for a place to regularly visit for all your hair styling needs or, just visiting Dallas and needing a hairdresser away from home, this is the place to go. In all my years as a customer, I have always received outstanding service; therefore, I always take my out of town guests there when in need of «hair therapy.»

Chad Demchuk has cut my hair many times and does an excellent job. Very professional, friendly and knows all the latest hair trends and colors. I definitely recommend him and the salon.

I took a dear friend to the Michael Flores Salon today for a consultation with Chad Demchuk. He was so wonderful and put all of my friends concerns at bay. He listened, gave perfect advice for a new style and color for my friend and she scheduled an appt. next Tuesday! I’ve been to nice salons but there is something to be said when Omar at the front is nice and welcoming and the manager Jade is nice and welcoming and then one of the top stylists/​colorists in the world is ALSO nice and welcoming! You aren’t going to Michael Flores for a hair appointment — it feels more like a hair «experience» and a very, very good one!!! Thank you Chad for being so sincere and genuinely caring about your clients! You are awesome!!!

Glenn Charles is awesome! He did a great job taming and shaping my (3C ish) hair. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced with African-​American curls. Don’t hesitate to book with him; regardless of your curl type, your hair is in good hands!

Monica Mamot at Michael Flores salon has been doing my hair ever since I moved to Dallas 2 years ago and she is amazing! She even does house calls when I am unable to make it in. I’ve gone from blonde to red to brown back to blonde numerous times and she does it flawlessy every time — and keeping my hair from feeling and looking damaged from all the coloring! I love her!!!

Monica Mamot at the salon is the only person in Dallas I will let touch my hair. She is the first and only person to take me from black to white/​grey with NO damage. I am so thankful I found her she is a gem. I have been to multiple «colorists» and paid big bucks for a name. When I finally found her there was NO turning back! If I have to fly her cross country to get a touch up its well worth it.

Monica Mamot is superb! I love changing my hair color and she by far is the best colorist I have been to in the DFW area. Not only is she a great colorist, she does fantastic hair cuts and styles it making me feel like a new person! Hands down, I recommend Monica for all hair essentials.

I had a Deva Cut with Glenn Charles. I have very thick, coily 4A/​4B hair. He did an amazing job. After searching many sites and reading many reviews, I decided on Glenn. He and Angela are the two stylists that do Deva Cuts and since he cuts Angela’s hair… I figured he must be great and I wasn’t disappointed. He didn’t cut much, but the changes he made were just what I needed to give my hair a better shape. He was very personable and easy to chat with. He asked a lot of questions and asked to see pictures to ensure I received what I wanted. When it’s time for my next cut, I’ll definitely return to Glenn!

Going to Michael Flores for color is like going to a celebrity stylist. No one in Dallas has his level of skill, dedication and talent and when he’s done you will feel like a movie star. For a while, I moved to the Houston area. I couldn’t find anyone I trusted to do my color, so I drove to Dallas every month for about 2 years to see Michael! It was worth it. Michael’s salon may be more expensive than some chain places, but you get what you pay for. You will get a luxurious personalized experience and you will walk out feeling beautiful.

Had my hair cut and colored by Chad Demchuk and I love it! He is an expert with all types of color and knows how to make you beautiful! His hair cuts are modern and impeccable. I have had my hair done by him several times now and have always left with a smile on my face! The complements will definitely come your way after you see him!
