Very quiet and relaxing environment with a simple, yet delicious menu of all types of protein for soups, salad and sandwiches. Each plate has a great blend of ingredients and typically come with a side of chips or fruit. Our server was absolutely the most friendly and attentive I have had no matter how upscale the restaurant. My pesto chicken sandwich was requested to be served warm and it came out perfectly creamy with the pesto sauce that they used and the blackened salmon salad was nicely seasoned with just the right amount of Kick. The restaurant, although it is a café, does not carry the feeling s such, rather it has a quaint and warm environment.

Bad food; bad service. I made a bad choice to have lunch here. Don’t make the same mistake.

I had no idea this place even existed but when we had a huge team lunch(about 15 people) this location was able to accommodate all of us easily! I must not be the only person who doesn’t know about it though because it was relatively empty even for a weekday. It did mean we got our food pretty quickly, and the fact that I cleaned my plate speaks to how tasty the food is! Service is a little slow, and I agree with other reviewers that paying at the front(including tip?) was a little odd. Because it was my first time here I thought the tip line was for the register and didn’t even think we’d have waiter service, so then I had to find cash to leave on the table because I felt guilty. Overall, it’s a decent place, a little pricy, but worth coming back if you’re in the Galleria!

Thank goodness for the Nordstrom Marketplace Café! Wonderful menu * food made fresh * genuinely kind and helpful wait staff * relaxing and kid-friendly environment The kids menu offers some good options at great prices, and they include a side and drink. The Cilantro Lime Chicken Salad is my FAVORITE! It’s filled with fresh veggies, tasty chicken, great green lettuce and the cilantro lime dressing is lick-your-plate-clean good! The Cranberry Turkey sandwich is another of my go-to menu choices. I like to get it on whole wheat bread and panini style, yummy! And seriously, the staple and the perfect go-to, Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup. I’ve had two different cookies from here and they aren’t great. They are pretty tough and although I am sure they are fresh, they don’t taste it.

Here are my top ten tips and tricks about Nordstrom café. 1. The ordering process is WEIRD. Minus one star there. You order at the counter and pay at the counter, then seat yourself and your food and drink is brought to you. If you are using a card, be sure to remember to tip at the counter, before you’ve even met your server. 2. That being said, SERVICEISALWAYSGREAT, so you can count on that, but is your tip amount impacted by the fact that they aren’t actually taking your order? Usually not for me, but I wouldn’t criticize anyone who viewed it that way. 3. GINGERPEACH iced tea… excellent. The servers almost always bring you a to go cup at the end of your lunch. If they don’t…be sure to ask for one. 4. Kind of PRICEY for lunch. 5. HIGHQUALITY ingredients and preparation. After my comment on the price, I guess I should also note that you get what you pay for. 6. Three words… LEMON…RICOTTA…COOKIE 7. The SALMON s always, always cooked to perfection on the salmon nicoise salad. I assume it is on any other salmon dishes. YUM 8. DARKCHERRY balsamic vinaigrette is the way to go on non-seafood salads. 9. They serve these AWESOMECROSTINI with soup and sometimes salads. If you aren’t the shy type and your meal doesn’t come with… ask. 10. Its a perfect spot for a LADIES” LUNCH.

My salmon was a little dry. Very well seasoned with just the right amount of crisp! It comes with a corn on the cob! I could have done without, literally didn’t eat. The veggies were roasted to perfection!

Food was ok. Service was so so at best. I did enjoy the Gorgonzola pear salad. I would go again mainly because it’s one of the better options for a quick bite in the galleria.

Don’t go here. The food is excellent, this is the best place to eat in the Galleria, extremely fresh salads, with high quality cheeses, nuts, raisins, etc just like I enjoy making at home. The chefs are trained at institutions such as Le Cordon Bleu, and know what they are doing. They even get my Italian approval for their pizza. It has always been an amazing place to surprise a ragazza with. Fresh salmon, freshly well made pastas, delicious drinks, all at refreshing prices. Take a window seat and look out at the city below, while enjoying great quality food. The best part about this place is that all these years its location which keeps it fairly hidden inside the mall, has led it to being a quasi secret of mine, where I like to go to get away from the mall crowd, specially during the years when I worked at the Galleria. But this would all be lost if everyone discovered such a place. I would hate it to become filled with the hordes of kids, and peons that ramble through the mall. So Don’t go here, make your way downstairs to the ice rink, and eat at Five Guys instead.

My only dog in the hunt is the dining experience. Service was friendly and accommodating, but the food hit and miss. My panini was good, some chips on the side. My wife’s salmon Niçoise salad OK except that the potatoes must have been cook days ago. Inescapable were the napkins that resembled nothing as much as cheap Russian toilet paper imprinted with ‘Nordstrom’. Ugly, non-absorbing and non-functional.

The staff here are quite nice. It’s a little weird that you order at the front, then seat yourself anywhere, the waitstaff comes to the table, read your order receipt, and then brings you the food. Definitely bring cash so you can leave a tip. I couldn’t decide between the pesto chicken panini or the grilled chicken asparagus pasta. The guy who took my order at the front sided with the panini, so that’s what I ordered. It was DELICIOUS! Pesto aioli, melted provolone cheese, sundried tomatoes, and deli sliced chicken all sandwiched in with crunchy country bread, served hot with chips. I will definitely come back. I believe this will be my go to restaurant when I’m at the Galleria. I’ll have to try the desserts next time. Why 4 stars instead of 5? My waiter wasn’t really around and only checked on me one other time other than to refill my tea. I wanted to get a takeout cup for my tea, but he wasn’t around. Hopefully on my next visit I can give it a 5.

I think I have a new place for lunch. Unfortunately this place is in Nordstrom which puts temptation to spend every dime you have right in front of you! The food was excellent. Like other reviewers have said it is made from scratch and it is very fresh. I had a pasta dish and my coworker had the salmon. I had food envy, not because mine wasn’t good, the salmon steak was huge and it came with a ton of grilled veggies. Next time for sure! They recently remodeled(within the year) and it is full service but you order and pay before sitting, not a super fancy place and reminds me of a Perkins/IHop– not sure why. Price is around 10 bucks for most things. I’ll be back!(best Arnie voice I can muster)

Ate here after exhausting the list of other restaurants in the Galleria… I had the Salmon with Cous Cous and that was delicately cooked to perfection. It’s strange how you order at the front and then a waitstaff comes and reads the receipt to bring you food and water. Definitely strange and awkward when you don’t have cash. It’s a great place to sit and chat without too much noise and they didn’t rush us out at all. I’ll be back again if I’m at the mall and don’t want the food court. It’s a strange feeling when you walk out and you’re in the kids section of Nordstroms, but hey, whatever — there was a birthday party for an 8 year old when we were there! Only at Nordstrom’s Café… =P

The food! My favorite is the Tuscan Salmon. The deserts are killer. CARROTCAKE! My waitress, Bonnie, super attentive. It’s quiet, but not stuffy. Sandwiches like the Chicken pesto or Turkey Panini, do not disappoint. Great for kids! I loooove the café!

All the food is made from scratch except the Carrot Cake so everything is great. My neighbor is the chef here so I told him that I would come check it out. I was not disappointed by any of the staff that was waiting on me. In fact even watching their attention to detail when they thought no one was looking… quite impressive. The sample of the daily soup was offered for me to try, which this day happened to be gumbo. I was hooked and had to have a cup of it to go along with my meal. One of the down sides is that when you order your food when you first come in unless you tell the person that takes your order, or your server when they up sell you that you want to leave a tip, you are out of luck unless you have cash. And believe me you will want to tip this staff. I can’t wait for my next experience here and I want to take friends and family.

This is a surprisingly good restaurant — delicious food, inviting atmosphere — and the service was EXCELLENT. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, as Nordstrom is synonymous with quality and customer service. My husband and I will make a special trip, just to eat at the café. Make sure you try the soups and desserts — they are memorable. I agree with the previous comment, it has become a favorite restaurant.
