Malarkey’s is your average neighborhood pub. Reliable, has good Irish food and smells like stale beer– but you love that about it! Pretty fun interior with all the good Irish tavern décor with a bunch of wooden tables and some big booths. Service is sub par and they have a workable round of draft beers. Their drink specials aren’t too bad– $ 1 bud lights on Thursday and $ 5 pizza M-F I think 5−7…

Go during the week. Their drink specials are amazing! This bar is unique. It’s dark and cozy. No smoking inside the bar area but nice.

Average everything employees meh… Cane here for years, gone down hill a little bit. Here they are bartenders and not your neighborhood pub I’d rather if stayed put at my spot. it’ll be a while before I actually say«hey let’s go to Malarkey’s: I will say though… When midnight rodeo opens on the weekend they have great parking spots available here lol

I gave Malarkey’s another chance a month later needless to say. My experience was totally different. Service was amazing. Food was solid. The atmosphere during Steelers game day was amazing. This is now my home bar for Steelers game day.

Love this place! I’m all about staff anywhere I go. If the bar staff isn’t up to scale and friendly, I will not stay OR come back. Angela is the BOMB! I only come here when she is working(or Sarah too)! Angela is what a good bartender should be. I’ve been in the industry(server and bartender) for many years and Angela oozes hospitality and personality. Oh, and BTW, their pizza is AWESOME!!!

Have come here several times over the past few years and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and staff here. Drink prices are acceptable and the food is absolutely amazing. They have now added certain day specials. Would recommend to anyone who likes a laid back vibe but exciting time to check it out once.

I love the interior here, from the horse shoe bar shape and curved bar ceiling to the little living room area with cozy couches, knight’s armor and shelves full of books. Make sure to come during Halloween and Christmas because they go all out on decorations! There are 20 beers on tap, 80 bottles, a full stock of liquor, and a menu full of fried bar food and Irish fare. The bar staff is super easy going and friendly as well. All in all, it’s a cool neighborhood bar & one of my favorites in the area.

This evening was the first time I attend this location. I was meeting a group of friends to watch the Steelers playoff game. This pub is a full blown Steelers Bar! When I arrived around 7pm, the location was FULL! Standing room only… in fact, I could not even get in the door, the place so packed! It took some time to crawl my way to the restroom. I asked someone in the«bar» line how long they had been waiting to order a drink and they said about 15 min. Very cool location if you’re a Steelers Fan! Just get there VERY early when the Steelers are playing! Since it was soooo crowed, we ended up only staying a few minutes. If you read my reviews, I love tracking down the history of locations I check in at… Per their website: ABOUTMALARKEY’S INDALLAS, TX Malarkey’s Tavern is founded on one of the strongest Irish principles, having fun. Here at Malarkey’s in Dallas, TX we pride ourselves on our service, and knowledge of our products. We serve twenty beers on draft, and eighty in a bottle. However, there is more to us than just beer. We highly recommend you try our food. Whether it be lunch, dinner, late night, or somewhere in between, our kitchen is open, and we’re ready to feed you a delicious meal. All of our staff is trained to serve you. They have a well– rounded knowledge of all the beers that we carry, and will be more than happy to assist you in picking just the right brew for you. They also know our menu. We feed our employees well here, and as a result their knowledge of our kitchen is extensive. Not sure what sounds good? Just ask, it is our mission to make sure you have a good time, and are well fed. As is our namesake, we are full of Malarkey. We’ll try not to trick you too much, but much like our native leprechauns, it is in our nature. Our bar has been crafted to help you kick back, relax, and enjoy yourself. We have worked hard to ensure you a beautiful place to gather. Whether it may be the beams on our ceiling or the lanterns above the bar and booths, we have gone above and beyond to give you a true Irish experience. As Irish legend has it:

Decided to stop by for a drink since I now work in the area and I have to say, I’m impressed! It’s a mid-sized, cozy feeling Irish tavern so I ordered the Reuben sandwich along with my crown and coke which came out lightning fast and was delicious. It wasn’t packed but still pretty busy but that didn’t stop me from getting good service. I was greeted by an attractive blonde named Tara who always made sure my glass was filled and even checked to see if I liked the food! If you don’t sit at the bar make sure you ask for her to be your cocktail. Not sure of all their drink specials but Monday’s is $ 4 crown and down. Another plus is it seems like everyone I’ve met here is friendly and cheerful no matter how busy it was. If you’re into the Irish bars and good drinks come check them out.

This is our third or fourth time coming in to Malarkeys. The food is tremendous for a bar style atmosphere. The two ladies behind the bar on weekends and Friday nights are a joy to deal with. They are always attentive and are extremely knowledgable about their spirits. Not to mention their playful/comedic personalities are a fun time all night. This is the kind of place you take friends on game day or family during the holidays! Even if you come alone the regulars at the bar top are always up for good conversation.

I come to see Tara but all the girls are great. One of them always makes sure my drink is full. Great teamwork and atmosphere. Won’t go anywhere but here when I’m out this way. The food and drink special are nice as well. Recommend to everybody

Love this place! Malarkey’s is our standard after work or late afternoon/evening happy hour hang out. Great prices on drinks, fun and friendly staff, good food. Managers are around often and are so nice too. We love the house wine(Cabernet) and they keep it stocked for us! Hit up the happy hour pizza from 5 – 7. $ 5 for the pizza plus $.50 per topping. It’s an awesome deal. The waitresses are awesome! Patio is great too.

Overall, GREAT! Friendly staff and big supporters of Pittsburgh! I was shocked by a couple reviews because the management and staff are all fantastic. If you have a rude experience, reflect because you may have been drunk and/or rude yourself. They also welcome EVERYONE!

NOSERVICE! I am a Native Pittsburgher who has been in Dallas for about 18months and so very homesick. Last Friday eve a few friends and I decided to try somewhere new for dinner and stumbled across Malarky’s. As we walked up I noticed more and more Steelers banners and when we walked in my heart leaped with JoY to discover a Steelers bar and not just a bar but an Irish Pub 5 mins from home… only to be SO Terribly Disappointed! We were told by the bartender to seat ourselves and so we did. The pub was not busy at all so we had our pick tables we were quite excited to try a new menu of goodies. 15 mins later No Waitress, No Menus, No drinks… nothing. I was so disappointed. We chose to leave and find another new choice for dinner. I see that others have written about the same issue. Come on Malarkey’s…if you know anything about Pittsburghers we are good spirited and patient folks. We don’t ask for much but good food and a cold beer to wash it down. Get it together.

Single Guy looking for social outlet: Do not name a proper Irish Pub after a poor excuse to host game day unless it’s Notre Dame. I was charged 9:00m For an Irish car Bomb. And got a quarter class of Guinness with some coffee liqueur masquerading as Bailys Irish Liqueur. Do not go on Penn State football days or Pittsburg Steelers days as the red headed waitress with glasses will take advantage of you. My concoction made me sick for a day and a half of throwing up after it coagulated into some and became undrinkable with no concern of this bartender! New Outsiders Beware!!!

A great clean Irish Tavern minus the traditional attitude. After reading the negative reviews below, than I recommend each one you that wrote them to venture down to Lion & The Crown in Addison Circle and see what your NOT missing from an Irish Pub. You would crawl over broken glass & hot coals to get back to Malarkay’s. We have been going here for years & have enjoyed the experience especially when you see a hands on owner striving for exceptional customer service by providing a huge selection of Irish Draughts, Gourmet Irish Cuisine, an over the top clean establishment & very knowledgable & friendly staff particularly a very whitty & personable Bar Manager that they call Cookie. I believe he was in the Navy, hopefully for US, but catch him on a night off & he will liven the whole bar w/his stories of abroad especially on The Pacific Islands back during his day. We have celebrated holidays. sporting events, festivals & unfortunately even mournings but I have never had a bad time there. You can come in and suit and tie, after playing in a game, staging area for your night out or even after a a shift off at a local restaurant or bar where service industry discounts are given 24⁄7. You will be greeted /welcomed and serviced in a very timely manner it is the restaurant industry things do happen but I highly recommend you come on out & give this pub a try! You won’t regret it!

Stopped by Malarkey’s for St. Paddy’s day. «Irish pub», literally right next door to home, no excuses. Got here around 6 and it was slammed. Had an Irish band playing authentic Irish(Celtic) music. Turned rock n roll in about 30 min! It was a bit of an older crowd, but that didn’t bother us.(I’m sure different crowds on different days) The bar tenders greeted us quickly and served us our Green Beer! The had a solid selection for a place like this.(I saw that they had that Jagermeister on tap too. wooo!) Definitely consider this a neighborhood dive bar. Granted I drive by here everyday, I always see people parked outside. Not sure about the food, I may always pass on that, but who knows lol. But I can certainly see myself walking next door for a nice cold brew during the summer months. When this place, which I’m sure it will be, packed! I’ll probably update my review when that time comes and I’m not buzzin’!

We sat for 30 fucking minutes and got ZERO service. Waitress saw us come in and sit down. And still didn’t bother to serve us. We got up and walked out. The bar was practically empty. Very shitty service, no, more like NO service! Lol. The place is a dump.

I don’t know why this place just has an average rating. Sure it’s one of those«Irish» pubs but they have a decent beer selection ranging from countries like Canada, Netherlands, Germany… etc. and they’re reasonably priced! They even offer whiskey flights and assorted martinis. It’s such a laid back place, none of that trendy pretentious BS. When I don’t feel like dressing up but want good cocktails or beer I just come here! Service has always been friendly to me. The juke box tends to play hip hop and rap but you can go and change that, even though I do enjoy some Bone and Biggie! Most patrons I’ve found will play country music just FYI. As far as food, the Shepherd’s Pie is pretty much the Guiness stew on top of tons of mashed potatoes and cheese. Seriously the spoonfuls were potato explosions, mash and tons of potato chunks from the stew, good for people that like spuds and cheese. I don’t usually eat fish and chips because it’s fried but I liked this one because the fish just slid right out of the batter. The chips were regular thin french fries as well, not wedges which I prefer. It’s just regular bar food here so I don’t expect much anyway. They do have corned beef hash which I feel is a must for a toting Irish joint. Definitely try this place out on a laid back night.
